look forward to the thread lol

I would be all over Ryuga and Dragblacker and Scissors and Volcancer, but then they had to go and reveal Mewtwo over in their D-Arts line...

Note that if you buy from Mandarake and you use your credit card , you may have to call your credit card company to approve the sale. they cut my card off twice thinking it was fraud. Paypal is an easier way to avoid that.
|
Just don't let shipping bite you in the ass. Because it will. Hard.
|
when do they tell you how much shipping is

well im probly not gonna buy there, sounds too complicated

However you can order multiple items from a single location and of course they will be shipped together. Orders totalling under 5000 yen before shipping will have a 500 yen handling fee attached. So if you're close to 5000 already its best to go ahead and reach or exceed that mark. They accept paypal and credit card for payment. Their site says that dont accept paypal for SAL orders but thats false because I and alot of other people pay with paypal for SAL orders all the time. They accept any credit card but as with ANY US based bank or credit card company you have to authorize it for overseas payments. My bank wont let my card go through on an overseas transaction unless I authorize it beforehand. Shipping is calculated after your order is placed. As a rule of thumb one Figuart shipped SAL will run you 700-900 yen. EMS shipping for one can total 1500-2000 yen. Be aware of that when placing orders and you wont get surprised by their shipping charges. Too often people complain about not knowing the shipping charge up front when its incredibly easy. I have personally had a DX Gingaioh shipped EMS for 5400 yen. That thing is a heavy monster and huge. If that cant help you get a general idea then nothing can :lol |
thanks for the info :thumb:
im still kinda on the fence, i dont like not knowing the exact price of what im buying before i buy it |
Mandarake are incredible. I've only started to use them recently, but they are genuinely awesome. Great prices and for me at least, shipping has always been cheap and quick even for SAL. They even mark it as a gift so it slips through customs, although the last one didn't but that was wrong on the royal mail's end....
If you choose SAL and have, say 3 Figuarts you probably won't pay much more then 2,000 yen, based off my experience with them. Again though I'm in the UK so it could be higher or lower for the US. |

Mandrake is great, but I wish I could see the estimated shipping cost BEFORE I pay for it. I always choose DHL because it seems to be 2400Y no matter what I buy (whether it is 1 or 5 items), but it would still be nice to see the prices to choose from.
|
One tip I have is to add whatever you're buying(or something generally the same weight and size) to the shopping cart on HLJ. They have a real-time shipping calculator. So if you want to know, generally(it may vary by a couple hundred yen due to how Mandarake may package it differently) what two figuarts will cost via SAL or EMS then get two similarly sized in-stock ones on HLJ and see what their shipping quote is.
|
mandarake is great for figuarts buying.especially some of the exclusives they have its abit cheaper than the ebay prices you get.shipping varies SAL shipping is pretty fast and I usually get them within the 2 weeks period only some items I have gotten they upped the shipping to a faster service cause of the size.but do know now they dont accept hotmail email address now

Just got my order confirmation for my Meteorstar on mandarake. Thanks smart phone during a power outage! Anybody come across a Cheeda Nick for sale anywhere I would appreciate a heads up. I am not having much luck yet

Mandarake is great! I've always been using them for my SHF.

I'm still pretty new to this board, but I've been on TFW2005 for awhile now. So, first of let me say: Hi everyone!!
Now, I just started collecting some of the Kamen Riders from Figuarts and I was wondering what a good figure stand would be? I know there is the Soul Stage Act: 4 for Humanoid (in various colors) where it seems you get 3 stands in the box. I was really wondering if there were others that might be better for them, or a generic type that can be purchased in bulk? Also, where would I be able to get them if they exist? |

My Red Hawk arrived at my comic shop today!! Still no Tiger though, but at least I'll have some fun with taking pictures tomorrow.
|
If you're hunting down Tamashii/Soul Stages, do not settle for any set other than Act 4 (humanoid), 5 (mechanical) or W (for compatibility with Gaia Memories). Act 1 is incredibly limited, Act 3 is notoriously fragile, and Act 2 isn't too bad, but the plain black look can stick out a bit too much and you don't get the varied options of the clear colored Acts 4/5.
|
Amazon has act 4's in stock.

Dr. Kain being a smartalek in the D-Arts thread brought up a question for me. Have they ever made a Freiza Figuarts? Personally, I'd enjoy having all six Frieza's forms. But then I'm weird. The first three evolutions, Final, Full Power Final, and Mecha Freiza. Along with a King Cold and Cooler. All three forms of Cooler.
I like Freiza, Cold, and Cooler. What? |

Yes, Freeza is coming out. I have to say, I would only buy the Krillin Figuarts just to do some Krillin Owned pictures.
|
The only DBZ figuart I have is SDCC Gohan. To be accompanied by Cell. I will resist buying more than just those two. Unless they decide to release forms of Majin Buu. Then I'm screwed.
|
I'm not really a Dragonball fan at all and I am REALLY tempted by Cell. I think that style of art really lends itself to Figuarts.

Oh if they start releasing Buu forms I'll need a second job.

And I never want to see Hercule/Mr. Satan. He's why I never play DBZ games. Because in every one of them there's always a level, sometimes three, of the story mode where you have to play as him against someone ungodly powerful. Only good thing to come from him was Videl. Videl and her short shorts. |

Just popped open Super Climax and Zeronos. My thoughts,
Zeronos: -Painted Beautifully, the absolute perfect shade of emerald green. Pearly and gorgeous! -The compound eyes just blow me away on this one, even better than sword form -This use of the mold is right on par with Sword Form, if you liked it then you'll easily love Zeronos Super Climax: -LITERALLY the only remold is the addition of a small peg to his back plate to accommodate the wings. -The top parts tray is exactly the same as the standard Climax release with an additional tray underneath for the stage parts and wings. -The wings attach to a long peg on the back and the hole has a bit of leeway to it to accommodate posing with a Tamashii Stage. -Additional paint apps have been applied to small molded details all over the figure (like the belt) that weren't present on the original release. Overall these are 2 fantastic figures. Super Climax won't be for everyone with it's minor differences but I've found enough about it to love. |

Super Climax sounds like a good buy though. I might as well get that version, then if I want a regular Climax just forgo the wings :lol |
