I gotta say I love seeing in-person photos of stuff because it gives me a more accurate idea of how the figure looks.

Tycoon looks a lot better than in video reviews and that's not a knock against anyone

Something I never really noticed about the Tycoon suit until I got the figure in-hand was those ninja stars at the top of the forearm. So word of warning when switching out hands, try not grab on to those stars. Thankfully mine is still fine, but it's something you notice when you physically have the figure

First World Collector Problems: today I received a used LV2 Brave from amiami, B graded. The figure is perfectly fine other than some weird gunk on the feet. Washed it out with some goo gone and soap. But lo and behold amiami listed a brand new and sealed A graded just right now haha

looking to get a complete set of a rider, but i want it to be fairly small (my max price would be 500$ US.) is there any riders that fit that criteria in the Figurarts line?

Depends on what you mean by "complete." Are we talking Every Rider from a show, or just every figure from that show that's been released so far?

just as an example (definitely not one i can afford) all 10 Sehiou 000s figures.

I can't afford that many, but i am interested in collecting something of a similar range.

I mean, if you go the Showa route, that's super easy since you'd only have to buy like 3 figures max, haha.

In terms of Phase 1 Heisei, only Hibiki, Kiva, and Decade have complete Seihou lines of all of their forms so far. All should be under the price point you want too.

For Phase 2 Heisei, no one has complete Seihou stuff, but for more modern regular SHF, there's Drive onwards. Not sure on the current pricing of those though.

And for Reiwa, forget about it. All of those figures have become super expansive on the aftermarket from what I understand.

I'll take a look into it. I don't Nessecarily need seihou stuff, I was jusing 000s as an example because of the parts-swapping.

For the old riders, I wouldn't want to buy non Seihou version as they are really outdated but it is your personal preference of course.

Btw, I am selling a SS Hibiki if you are interested.

A.How bad could they be?

B. Not your fault but Hibiki is my least favorite heisei rider.

so far kabuto and blade have me attracted me but their aftermarket is, at best, horrendous.

I'll add to what's already been said:

The pre-seihou releases, and to some extent the first half+ of the Heisei shows, covered many more forms; and it probably helped that those shows had smaller casts and generally less form changes. The figures themselves might not hold up to today's modern engineering standards, but they could be quite inexpensive and and extensive

Right around Gaim is when we see many more individual characters and forms, and SHF's lines start to dwindle a bit. There's quite a few Gaim and Ghost figures that were only displayed at conventions and never went into production

But you can say that the line traded less figures for pieces that were designed and sculpted much better. Gaim / Drive is when the figures started to look REALLY good

So where are we now? Recent shows still have large casts and that comes at the expense of different forms for the main character I feel. But with some exceptions, the main character at least is getting figures of the upgrade/super/final forms.

If you ask me, Zero-One is a great line to collect. Figures look great, they did many of the individual casts, and are relatively inexpensive on the aftermarket. Even if there's no form changes for Zero-One, there's figures of Shining, Assault, Metal Cluster, both movie forms, and a Zero-Two set to release soon.

Can't say the same about Revice, since they skipped Barrid and Volcano. The Geats line is still somewhat ongoing but they already skipped Command in favor of MKII/Laser

So in short:
Old releases ( pre 2013 ) ---> many more figures, probably haven't aged well, shouldn't be too expensive ( Seihou figures notwithstanding )

New releases ( Gaim and upward ) ---> less extensive lines, improved engineering/proportions, but prices and availability may range

I've got the older OOOs I believe, all forms, including tamashii, and one or both births. Definitely selling for less than 500 if interestdd

I would be but the older ones don't have the swapable parts which is why I need the seihous.
OOOs is the only one I feel obligated to get the newer ones for.

I don't see why there would be, isn't it all from the same factory ?

There is no difference unless it?s stated by Bandai ( for example the KR Zero-One/Zero-Two HK/Asian Rim set, or the HK Sun Wukong version Ultraman Zero)

i saw some different with color and plastic with some DX Gaoranger mecha with both JP & HK so i'm curious if this happen with shf

I mean I doubt it's gonna be a hot item. The Comic-colored Ultraman is still pretty easy to get. Plus the reissue of Seven should be dropping this month in JP iirc.

I have a question for anyone here have you had problems with hobby genki shipping or messages cause I am. Just want to know if others have issues as well?

Me personally I have not and only had to reach out to them about the status of one order last year in terms of when it was going to ship since it was already prepaid

I?ve never really had issues, just once I had to send a follow up message to get a shipping invoice after my initial request. I try to time my messages so they receive it during their early workweek morning

I get ya- Bandai DOES have color variants in the lower-tier toys and figures, but they are consistent with their SHF line.

very dissapointed at the low availability of the bikes. it sucks to see battle hopper be on average 200 dollars.

They were actually released in different years with the HK version being released a couple of years later when the series was aired in HK.

The only difference for the SHFs are the stupid stickers which I can't never completely removed without damaging the box. That's why I don't buy non-JP version, a very stupid and irrevelant reason though.

They are hella expensive only on Ebay/Amazon, if that’s where you’re looking. I’m on AmiAmi currently and there’s two for roughly 75.00 before shipping. I think Mandarake has one or two as well for similar prices, hope this helps

Ok here is one of the issues I having copy of the message they sent ?Our apologies the DHL rate was higher than expected. To not ask extra fee we shipped it by FedEx? I paid 3600 yen to ship one figuart chose DHL shipping they are using another shipping company I did not pick when I preorder. Also fedex is slow as crap and where I from sometimes they don?t even want to deliver the package. This is not the first time they been doing this all year long to all my packages and to make it worse I have to paid 3000 yen more just to have it shipped DHL that the crap I dealing with hobby genki. That?s why I ask if anyone had issues with them it stressing me out I lost faith in them and I want to cancel my other preorders that I have 😞

They just did to a recent in stock item...either my order for SMP Ninjegazord/falconzord set or my order for seihou KR Birth...one of those I selected DHL because it was slightly cheaper by $3 and because I haven't had any issues with them since I use them for my Mandarake orders. I ended up receiving an email pretty much stating that they switched to FedEx due to it being cheaper and them stating the DHL shipping was more than expected.

Fortunately I haven't had no major issues from any of the shipping carriers of choice so it didn't bother me and I received both shipments within 2 days so hopefully you get your shipment with no issue
