I haven't watched Power Rangers since Season 2 of MMPR. Got the urge to get into the real thing after the casting for the rebooted movie.
Binged Chōjin Sentai Jetman in like a week (Grey is the coolest villain ever) .. Devoured Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger.. Just finished Gosei Sentai Dairanger (Master Kaku is so much cooler than Zordon). Hilarious that Yellow Owl is Kame on DaiRangers (I keep thinking of Master Roshi or Kamehameha whenever they say his name lol) Now on episode 15 of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (So cool that a white guy sentai is in this). Wish I could find a batch of Zyuranger only was able to download a Spanish sub. I got a lot of these season's on my HDD can't decide what's next. I loved Jetman & Dairanger but these newer Sentai's production value are amazing. |
The problem with Zyuranger is that a lot of subs were taken down once the official DVDs were released.
Some streaming sites might have them still up, though. |

You say that as if it's hard :lol
Of all the Power Rangers series, MMPR is probably one of the weakest (Not the absolute worst, mind you. Samurai, OO, and Megaforce still exist :lol) I never really got into Zyuranger since every time I try, something else catches my attention, but it's most likely a lot stronger of a show. |

I didn't know Power Ranger's wasn't an original creation until this year. I'm catching up as fast as I can. I'm trying to decide where to start with Kamen Rider & Ultraman as well. |

I'm just saying that, even in terms of Power Rangers, MMPR isn't that good :lol Kamen Rider has plenty of good starting points, but I'm not a big Ultraman guy, so I can't comment there. |

While Zyuranger does blow MMPR out of the water as far as story telling goes, it's not really fair to compare the two because they had two different purposes with two different tones of execution. Saban had no idea what to really do with MMPR beyond adapting Zyuranger for American audiences.
BTW, to the post on the last page, the Abaranger movie really does need to be watched where it takes place due to things that occur towards the end of the show. |
Well, Saban knew exactly what he was doing. Wasn't he trying to do the exact same thing to Fiveman, but no studio accepted his pitch until Fox or something?
|
^ IIRC, he tried to adapt Sun Vulcan, Bioman and Jetman.
