Son of God
It was okay as an adaptation. A lot of the dialoge gets stiff when Jesus says something word for word from the bible. They updated dialog for the Apostles and the bad guys but Jesus sounds dated. I think the movie took a lot of film cues in order to not feel like the same rehashed Jesus but in the end, it's just a cinematic representation of the more spiritual original. |
The Grand Budapest Hotel - This movie is down right fantastic. It is hilarious, well acted, and just an interesting odd movie all around. The cinematography is great, especially as the movie keeps going from widescreen to full screen depending on what time period the movie is taking place. There are a ton of cameos in this movie and all of them are great. Willem Defoe is nothing short of great, but Ralph Finnes and Tony Revolori are a fantastic duo throughout the movie. The only thing I really can complain about is the narrative was a little confusing once or twice, but other than that, this is probably going to be one of the best movies of the year. Easily an 8/10.

Captain America 2: Go see Captain America 2. That is my review. No seriously, BEST MARVEL SEQUEL YET!! It is actually really really REALLY good!! 8/10!!!!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is pretty brilliant. Not only is it a great sequel,, it's also an amazing precursor to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at hand, what with the confirmation of Stephen Strange's existence; the post-credit appearances of Baron von Strucker, the Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver (well played, Marvel Studios); and an artificial intelligence that may very well evolve into Ultron.
Go watch it. It lives up to most of the hype. |
Indeed. Go see Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I highly, highly recommend it.
[As an aside: really going to miss seeing action movies with my college buddies after I graduate in a few weeks...] |
I just finished watching the first Ghost Rider movie. Is it true that Marvel Studios (the company who made Iron Man, The Avengers, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (among others)) now has the movie rights to Ghost Rider?
I saw this on the Marvel Movies wiki. https://scontent-a-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/...52859183_n.jpg |
