RX wasn’t originally conceived of as a sequel to Black, it was going to be its own unique show. Black was such a hit, though, that Toei decided to keep Tetsuo Kurata on as the star.

Kinda, kinda not? It's actually pretty neat that Saber requires you to actually read up on some lore to understand some stuff, but this is to the detriment to some casual viewers. For example, one wouldn't exactly know why Kento is back as Calibur without either watching the SOL Special or reading up on the website's lore about Kurayami.

But also, some stuff like the Swordsmen chronicles are there just to put up scenes that may as well have been cut from the episodes, they don't add a lot so one can ignore them if they choose to, but I think it helps you appreciate the story more if you watch them since they give some brief insight into the character and/or set some things up for later. Example: Kento's pre-death, Rintarou's desire for a photo of his family, and Ren's relationship with Dezast.

TL;DR not exactly required, doesn't really take away much from the story, but helps once appreciate if you do include it in a watch.

Just enjoying SOL and many of my question while following saber is answered. I think atleast they need to add SOL if they want to localize Saber.

But you're right. Its not that necessary. But no doubt, improve it and cover many plothole

I think the only Rider shows I'd say ~need~ extra material for the full story are Den-O, Decade and W due to events in their movies. Maybe Drive and 01 at a stretch. Otherwise everything else is fine

We mean, as in “every necessary detail filled in”.

Pine Arms is Gaim's final form, so that means that the Pine Iron was the last final form-exclusive weapon before we got the Haouken Xross Saber, not AxCalibur. :lolol

Revice is already said to be largely orange and pastel green, so his final form is gonna be a doozy as well.
