Build Burning Gundam! I'm not saying this because he's my all time favorite gundam, but because he's the best HG 1/144 kit out there right now, I believe he uses the latest technology for HG kits and the first as well, his articulation is insane for a kit that size, I high reccemond the HG Build Burning for any beginners.

Or you can get a SD Winning Gundam and satisfy your love for Fumina.

Thats good to hear. I like the design for Build Burning alot. Will probably pick up both then cause Winning Knuckle is bad ass.

I haven't tried doing the Winning Knunckle with my Winning, and Build Burning kits since I'm to lazy, but from other pics on blogs he actually looks pretty stable using it.

I'm with Algo I think Crossbone would be bombing.... Plus a new MG Crossbone kit would make my day...

The first and third are ok, although the core fighter makes them a bit flimsy in the torso. I'm not sure what exactly the middle one is, but it doesn't look like it's worth the money. I'd go with whichever of the 2 RGs you like the look of better.


As seen above, I'm building the Burning right now, and I'd have to agree with what others have said. The build is simple, but not basic. What I mean by this is that the torso, for example, is not made by very many pieces, but they're put together in a completely unique way that is really fun to build. It's a great beginner kit, and still fun if you've built a few kits already. Not to mention that it comes with all those glorious flame effects.

BTW, do either of your Build Burnings fall apart a lot? The waist, shoulders, and thighs keep popping out of joint on mine.

No they're really solid, I gotta do wee bit of force to get the joints apart.

Felt like messing with some of my gunpla. I only have 4 (Build Strike Full Package, Crossbone Maoh, Gouf R35 and SD Build Strike) but I didn't realize how much fun they are to take pics of sometimes.

Holy crap is this what RG technology gundam is like? I'm fricking blown away, it's not perfect but damn does this 1/144 kit has some articulation and darn good ones aside from Build Burning awesome hip arituclation joints, Destiny is just as good. He even stands good on his toes!

I find that things start to get frustrating once you add on those wings and that packpack. Mine has a tendency to topple over a lot.

Destiny Gundam! Lets Box!

So RG Destiny.... He's a great kit but as Kiryu point out....

This is where I became a bit disappointed, Destiny is a cool badaass looking Gundam, and His RG self does it justice but those wings are just back heavy, I finally got him in a pose I want.

I went for a straight build of Destiny since I'm going for Shimon snap-build Destiny from BF Try, Which is why I didn't put any decals on him and also I didn't display with him his rifle or shield, because he at least used his sword twice in the episode, I wanted to go for a boxer pose but not possible since the arms can't swivel.

So yea great RG kit, just that back heavy wings is the huge drawback.

I remember having difficulty sandwiching the wings together did you have a simular problem?

Not really no, it was pretty straight forward, I thought I messed up and dissembled one of his wings before I snapped it on the backpack, but it turned out I did everything right. What was your problem with it?

I dunno, between the weight of the wing and the awkwardness of the position in which I'm suppose to connect them together I found it to be difficult myself.

I had some trouble at first myself but I've found that if you try to cener the wings on their hinge and lean destiny forward a bit you should be good to go

Oh I took the backpack off while doing that part, but I agree with you about the wings, I really wish it could flare out instead of just being straight, it really hinders a lot more than I thought it would have.

I spent 5 minutes taling to my mom about why Gundam isn't popular anymore and why no one my age gives a shit even if they do know what the hell it is. And in turn, I promised her to find if there was a Gundam club anywhere in my local area. Thoughts or tips on how to find this stuff?

Are you talking about the black hinges? They went together fine, they just don't like staying together when you move the wing around.

That's easier said than done, unless you live in California, New York, or some other massively populated area where there's enough different people selling different things that there's a chance that some import store somewhere will be selling gunpla.

Aw man I'm going have to buy another lightning gundam now due to his upgrades, I can't have normal team try fighters, then upgraded Build Burning and Upgraded Winning Gundam and then just one Lightning with two backpacks.

Completionists like you are Bandai's favorite customers.

I thought about doing that but I'm fine with having just one Lightning myself. I planned on getting a second Lighting BWS for a custom anyways but with the new upgrade coming out I might not have too.

Once they make a MG build Burning my life will be complete, oh and Amazing Exia MG.

Well they are making the Dark Matter as an MG but I hear the Amazing will be a Premium Bandai thing.

I heard the same thing I just hope it's really false rumors. And pretty lame as well he'll be the first premium exclusive from BF.
