But even when you keep that in mind it just looks terrible. That shot were Psylocke slices thw car in half is just cringeworthy. The framing and angle of that shot is just flat out bad. |
how did they get Psylocke so, SO right & yet everyone else is stuck back in the hideous black rubber suits?! :(
seriously- either bring back Matthew Vaughn or find a new director who's NOT ashamed of superhero costumes. |
Oh, Daredevil, you are so, so good. :D
|
Just got back from seeing Deadpool. That was everything I could have asked for.
And now my Marvel weekend continues as I just started up Daredevil season 2, episode 1. |

I'm guessing that since they know they are a success now, they can waste a bit of time with things that will pay off in the future. |

Cause as far as S2 is concerned Punisher was right. Matt killed the guy in the end out of revenge. We as the audience knew that Stick ultimately killed him but from Matts point of view it was him. And since there wasnt really any negative sideffects for him yet it defeats the whole point his character made for most of the season and all of S1. And I dont know how I should feel about that. |
Two episodes left. The first four episodes were nearly perfect, but once Elektra showed up the whole thing became a mess. Once the Punisher got free again it picked up a lot, but there's still too many different plotlines that don't really seem to connect and I don't have much clue where anything is headed. The story may be bigger, but season was definitely a lot tighter.
If only the whole season was as good as the first four episodes. Maybe the last two will redeem it for me. |
We just watched episodes 7 and 8 and they were quite good. Curious, is this "The Chased" that Stick was talking about supposed to be the clan Iron Fist is from? The ending to episode 8 was pretty intense for Matt and awesome for Frank. So far this season continues to kick ass. I also couldn't help but laugh at Clancy Brown because he seems to be playing soldiers in both Marvel and DC universes these days. Can't wait to continue tomorrow.

For those who are interested in Civil War II, they've announced some of the tie-ins:

Also, in the synopsis for Civil War II: Amazing Spider-Man #1, it reveals that the new Marvel character that can predict the future and is the main focus of the fight, is an Inhuman. |
Not planning to spoil anyone but I just finished up Daredevil Season 2 and man. What a ride! Every bit as good as season 1 if you ask me. Loved it.

Anyways, I finished it up last night. Potential non-specific spoilers ahead! It started off really strong, but once Elektra showed up it kind of became a mess. After that, the entire season turned into Matt blowing things off to hang out with Elektra (and later, Stick) while Foggy and Clair handle the Punisher stuff. Punisher barely did anything after that and what he did do had no relevance to the overall plot. Meanwhile, Matt and elektra's shenanigans were kind of uninteresting. It's almost like when writing the series, they thought "let's add Elektra and the Punisher" and wrote the story around that, which made the season feel very disconnected. We're watching two plots the entire time that have nothing to do with each other and hardly ever cross over the entire time. |
Yeah, I realized that this morning. For some reason I was thinking Iron Fist was named Danny Chase, but that is a DC character. Also, I could have sworn Stick was part of The Hand.

I was reading a list of TV shows that are likely to be canceled and Agent Carter was on there. My question is, if Carter gets canceled on ABC, can't Disney just let Netflix have it and continue production?

Just finished episode 4; been moving more slowly this time than with the first season. But what a great set of episodes those were. Loving Punisher.

Just finished Season 2 and when the hell are we going to get Season 3? This season was way too short. :p No seriously, this season was down right phenomenal. I loved every bit that dealt with The Hand even if it did get a little predictable at the end. Talk about a major cliff hanger though. I was hoping we would see The Beast though, but oh well. Maybe that can be a plot for the Iron Fist show. No idea why every villain wants NYC though. They do know there are other, superior cities out there, right? Overall, this season blew the first one out of the water and continues to stay as the second best super hero TV show out there. I just wish there was time for a couple of stand alone filler episodes that didn't have anything to deal with the main plot, but whatever. In the end, I give Season 2 a 9/10.
BTW, I need to know, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CHEESE!!! No, this has been bugging me. In the flashback, Matt is sitting there with cheese on his chest, it cuts to Elektra and then when it cuts back to Matt, the cheese is gone. WHere did it go? Is it okay? Did it spoil? I need to know!! lol |

It was also a nice change from Season 1, which focused on Kingpin. Here, we got two separate plot points happening, yet they still had intersecting moments just like comic books do. |
Almost finished with Daredevil myself.
Oh man, this show is everything Arrow WANTS to be and so much more. |

Alright, finally done whoa what a rush.
I think it's just as good as season 1 if not better. I liked that they could really do whatever the hell they wanted this season and you never really knew where it was heading next. My one complaint is that it doesn't end as neatly as season 1 did, didn't like the fact that it sequel baited hard. |
Now that I have read the DnA run on Guardians of the Galaxy it makes me even more sad to read Bendis run on that book. It has its moments but overall it feels just so... bland. Their is nothing epic about it. Everythign happens on such a small scale that its just not very engaging. And every opportunity the book has to evolve into something bigger is destroyed by them constantly having to feature event tie-ins or crossovers that disrupt the flow of the overall narrative. Its just so incredibly disconnected. That whole storyline about Spartax and Starlords Dad lacks any impact because it just comes and goes without amounting to anything worthwhile. And worst of all about this is that they cant even get an artist to say on the book beyond a few issues here and there. Alot of times one issue has like three different pencilers working on it and its just jarring.

Ugh. Hated tonight's episode of SHIELD.
Blatant setup for a spinoff nobody wants and this show will suffer for it by losing two cast members I felt were contributing a lot. Blah, just need to go back to Daredevil. |
Flash is back, so I'm back to not watching Shield until later.

I've been thinking about this lately, and I've had a discussion with friends about it, and I wanted to get your opinions on my thought.
Could Marvel Split Avengers Infinity War into 3 parts instead of 2? I feel like they are going to as 2 movies is not enough time to get all of the characters and development and fight scenes in for everyone. Considering the Marvel Universe is essentially doubling with the amount of new heroes in Phase 3, seeing 2 movies trying to cram them in, plus the avengers, GOTG, possibly Netflix and Shield and Most Wanted people just does not sound good. Maybe they could do it like the Hobbit where the last fight scene got greatly extended and wrapped up some of the very final plot points for the last movie? |
That would be to much Avengers for the common person. Having more one off movies to help set this off could help, but why would infinity war need to be 3 parts? Thanos is out to destroy the universe and the Avengers need to stop him. The MCU has been building to this point, so there won't be much setting up for phase 4. Just give us a 4-5 hour long event that wraps everything up, and sets up the next chapter for the MCU.

Cumberbatch looks like he stepped right off the page. This is fantastic.
