Been watching Read or Die, holy shit this show is awesome! :D
|
Watched episode 2 of Blue Exorcist this morning as per usual I'm asleep before Toonami airs on Saturdays now and I was pissed off at Satan for killing Shiro, I was thinking, well Rin is gonna tear the hell outta Satan *pun totally intended by the way :lol*.
|
Might watch Psycho-Pass when I get a chance.
|
Watched Episodes 7 and 8 of Inazuma eleven.
Saw the ending of this little two parter coming from a different country. I enjoy seeing people just mentally break like that. |
Psycho-Pass is getting sooooo good!

Also anyone know a place where I can watch Saint Seiya? I watched it when it was here and really want to get back into it. |
I am now four episodes in to Fate/Zero.

I've been watching HeartCatch Precure alongside Magiranger, it's incredibly fun! Sure it's formulaic and it's aesops aren't very subtle, but the cast has tons of energy and it's very entertaining.
I'm up to 21 now, the third Precure arc, and I just wanted to say that I really, really wanted Ban to become Cure Fire. :lolol Quote:

FLCL episode 1:
So, we watched it at my school's anime club, and...look I know a lot of people really love it, but...I just couldn't get into it. None of the jokes were really my cup of tea...like...ok Gurren Lagann was pretty crazy, but at least there was a method to the madness, whereas here it's like "BLARARARAGHARAGH! RANDOMNESS LAUGH DARN YOU!!!" I also didn't like the main character going through all this crazy stuff, then being like "Nothing unordinary happens here" I get that that's the joke, but it just didn't do anything for me. Also, you guys know how the story of how Panty and Stocking came to be was a bunch of guys from Gainax getting drunk? I swear they were doing like LSD or something while coming up with this show. tl;dr: It's too insane for my taste. |
Which is why I enjoy it so much.

started watching blue exorcist on adult swim. I loved the first two episodes and how the second picked up right after the first. loved the guy with the ice cream umbrella.
|
Finished Psycho-Pass and it was a great show. The overall story was great too.

Inazuma eleven episode 9.
Well... That buildup in the first minutes of the episode ended up in nothing. When the girls in the group got into those maid outfits, i could not stop laughing. :lol Why do i get the feeling the opposing team of this episode is what most of us wouod be like if we were on a soccer team? They're strategy is throwing off they're opponents by quoting anime and tokusatsu, then in the late game they throw everything they've got. :lol |
Just finished watching for at this point the billionth time my favorite piece of not just anime, but of animation of all time. Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal.

Watched the first episode of Kill La Kill. I absolutely LOVED it. Gorgeous animation, awesome designs, rockin' soundtrack, epic action. It felt like all of my favourite shows got smashed into one another. Please tell me it keeps this up all the way through?
|
The thing is, I want to start watching Kill La Kill now (because the guy that does the voice for Momotaros is the voice of Senketsu and because of all the cool things I am hearing about it) but I also want to wait for the dub to come out and watch it then.

Kill La Kill 02. This show is absolutely glorious. An all star voice cast, laugh out loud humour, epic action and a ludicrous world that the show seems to have a full grasp on, despite the fact that it seems impossible to have a grasp on something like this. Please don't go south!
|
Kill la Kill is hands-down my favorite anime of the season. I think that if you can take the ridiculousness in stride then it's fantastic, but if you expect it to work like an orthodox show then it's hard to take it seriously when you need to. Definitely one of those feel-good power trips of a show.

Gundam 00 Awakening the Trailblazer.
Wow, this movie was pretty amazing. Well, at least the last 1/3rd got me emotional. The worst part is after the first 15 minutes where they reintroduce the characters and before the invasion by the ELS. The small scale ELS attacks just felt sorta weird and random and were super weird since I didn't know what was going on. Granted, I like that the reason why the federation and the Gundams were attacking was because one girl died during the first ELS attacks. But seriously, the automatically moving trucks? And Nena Trinity is back. FUCK YEAH. I found it kinda odd that the movie jumped into the full scale invasion after the small incidents, but it is a movie so it kinda is constrained already. Speaking of the invasion, I liked the fact that the ELS were very adaptable and countered. When the missles got reformed into ELS missles, that's when shit went down. it was nice to see 00's giant ass beam saber not just utterly own the thing its hitting. I also liked that the Gundams weren't invincible to them either, as I saw my beloved 00 Raiser get ripped apart thanks to ELS tactics. I really didn't like the new movie Gundams' designs other then 00 Quanta but even then, 00 quanta is just Exia's chest on top of 00's body with a rad new shield and sword. I liked the final confrontation as it resolved the one ongoing plot of the show that I really liked. Setsuna's awakening was one of the better story arcs of 00 and it was nice to see its resolution here. And his dialogue with the ELS and their story was pretty cool too. Although, the minor Deus Ex Machina of 00 Quanta using its shield as a teleportation device to the ELS' homeworld light years away when it clearly shows in the future that not even they have faster then lightspeed travel. The most ridiculously awesome part of the movie was the glimpse of the future and Marina encountering Setsuna again. You encountered a Shiny Setsuna! Seriously, he's all metallic shiny and perfectly fused with the ELS. Although, that makes me wonder if some of his hair acts like steel wool now. I thought this movie was a pretty fitting end to the series as it was a natural progression for the series and it kept in line with the show's message. While the villains in the series proper were bland cardboard cutouts, having villains that were more interesting yet had no lines of dialogue was a pretty smart choice. |
So should I just watch it now or wait for the dub?

He left home and didn't want to return because he was supposed to inherit the family's metalworks factory but he didn't want to stay on a backwater planet his whole life and after some nonsense with the Gogol Empire in the cold open, the heroes are stuck in a time loop that they didn't notice until the 108th loop! |
Double post, so I'll just continue the above:
And now Dandy's doing the sensible thing and trying to escape the time loop by leaving the planet in a random ship, but they wake up again because space god hates them or something. :lol Oh and the cause of the time loop? the page-a-day calendar was struck by techno babble!:lolol Otherwise, there's quite a bit of touching moments in the episode. |
