Can someone tell me what size and scale Robot Damashiis are? I kind of want to collect them, but I also want to get into Gundam models, and I'd like if they were in scale for display purposes. (like are Robot Damashiis 1/110, or 1/144, etc)

Robot Damashiis are 1/144 size, maybe slighter taller but nothing grand, I was kinda off putting by the size when I saw a batch of them at B&N

Oh, so what's that in actual units of measurement? Like, five inches?

Also, just because I want to know full-well what I'm getting into, what's the "grade" system for Gundam models? I want to start with the Master Grade models, but I've built MGs before, so is High Grade higher? Or is it straight to Perfect grade? (which is too much for me) How big are 1/100 MG Gundams?

HG are 1/144 scale so probably a head smaller than your average figuarts or they could be tall depending on how the mobile suit is design.

Real Grade are also 1/144 but more in depth and complex than your average High Grade.

Master Grade are 1/100 scale and the bigger and more detail gunpla kits.

Perfect grades are 1/60 the biggest and high complex model kits.

So in terms of level it'll go like HG 1/144 > RG 1/144 > MG 1/100 > PG 1/60

Depends on the Mobile Suit, Strike Rouge and Destiny are about 6.5 inches tall and Haman's Qubeley is about 7 inches tall.

Usually Gundam heights leaves most HGs around 5 inches tall. But it depends on the size of the suit as well. Neo Zeong is in that scale and is defintley not 5 inches lol. They are cheap but decent quality.

RGS are the same size, but have better quality plastic and an innerframe and lots more stickers and parts.

MGs are bigger, have a lot more parts, and are better quality , and cost a lot more then RGS. MGs are usually in the $40 to $60.

Perfect grades are hundreds over dollars, have over 600 parts, look the best without any further customizing/lining and implement the newest features and gimmicks.

If your near a Barnes & Nobles check there. Just about every one of them carries EW Heavyarms.

So I'm currently building the RG Exia. I love it, but it's also the most frustrating time I've had with a model I think.

First off, I got the knee piece for the inner frame wrong and nearly destroyed the piece getting it out.

And the holo foil pieces are a pain in the butt to stick on, I ended up dropping the ones that go on his chest three times...

You mean the red and white one? That's considered an EW one because I have no clue wise. It has nothing on Ramboarms though.

I know it is. Ramboarms is the blue one A.K.A. EW HA Custom. The red and white is also an EW in the same way that they did an EW version of regular Deathscythe.

They're great, I've used them a couple times.

But others have ordered from them with no issue.

Despite what others say, me personally I find them to be very reliable in the gunpla department... I mean that's what the advertise the most on their website anyways.

I did backordered once on my Extra Build Burning it took them less than a week for them to secure my kit. I ordered Sengoku Astray MG which was post to be restocked in Feb I got him the night right after I placed the order.

Either Burning's a way crappier kit than everyone's let on, or BanDai's QC department hates me. The legs constantly fall off, the shoulder pop out, the waist pops apart, the backpack falls off, and that all before you start messing with the effect parts. The little side flames do not stay on the punch effects, the pegs on all of them are wayyy to small. I haven't even tried to do anything with the kick effect, but I'm sure that one'll be just as much of a pain in the ass. It's amazing that a kit as good-looking, fun to build, and poseable as the Burning could be this awful.

Honestly it could be just your kit, or possibly your not tighten everything correctly, Build Burning is an amazing kit. I never praise a kit so much other than Build Burning and he really lives up to it every review of him is a 10/10 on YT as well.

My 2nd Build Burning felt just as great the first time I built my first one, and trust me I wouldn't buy a second crappy kit of the same Gundam even if I love it a lot in the show.

Double check the pegs and joints and make sure you really tighten them things in, I thought Lightning Gundam was a crappy kit till I found I didn't tighten him correctly on his waist and hips joints and he turned out to be really good.

Oh shit, so you're saying I actually have a chance ordering backordered models?

The most frustrating yet amazing Gunpla I think I have the pleasure I own.

Seriously, nothing about this guy seems loose or is about to fall off despite my earlier screw ups and several shake tests.

One of the GN leg strips looks kinda crumpled...

Yeah that would be a screw up on my part, too lazy to take it apart to fix it so I'm leaving it as is.

It'll probably be less noticeable once the whole kit's built, anyway.

The holographic strips are probably one of the more frustrating parts about the kit. It must've took me 20 minutes before I was finally able to assemble the torso one.

And in that time I ended up loosing the strips three times.

I'm not sure what disappoints me more the fact that the Mg Banshee kit is dark navy-blue than black, or that Banshee Norn is an exclusive.

I think the HG's black though.

Speaking of the Unicorns, I really do hope they make a MG Unicorn 3.0 or something, because the PG is amazing and stable in both modes. My MG Unicorn OVA ver has developed the ankle issue that the original Ver Ka has.

Question about MG Gundam kits: did they ever make regular Gundam Deathscythe and Deathscythe Hell, or just the EW versions?

Nope but there are HG 1/100 versions.

Checking out video reviews, they require a LOT of paint or stickers. Man I'm so used to MGs.

Modern HGs are great, and RGs are on par with MGs. But yeah, the old '90s HGs are crap.
