I am still sad we never got Kamen Rider Valkyrie in Converge. I am pretty sure we already got the full metsuboujinrai team.

Also I was really hoping the Converge Motion line would stick to the iconic poses for each character. This Faiz one is okay but we just gotta have the hunched down standing by pose.

Unfortunately no, though there is that shodo-sized Gavan that comes with the recent soul of chogokin cyberian (at 16400 yen).

A kind of 'toei hero' shodo line would be a dream for me...

Finished up customizing Shodo-XX 3. Let's start with Kiva. My main goal was to match the customization of my Shodo VS Kiva. Third picture shows XX Kiva before I painted it (there was a lot of red to paint). The Hell's Gate only had red on the wings and shin, no other paint apps.

I did a bit on Kiva Emperor. Just the silver on the wrists and knees and red on the belt eyes. Might do more later, I just don't want to paint the belt again right now because it took a bunch of layers.

G-G-G-Ghost! He was pretty well painted out of the box and there's some things I can't paint, but the new orange paint I picked up turned out to be a great match for his jacket and driver. Also did the silver on the knees and collar.

Meanwhile, while getting those new paints, I came across a copper paint matches Vail's almost perfectly, so I finally got to finish painting him. It looks so good now.

That would be great. I'd love Jiraiya, B-Fighter, and Winspector figures at that scale. The Figuarts look great, but man...cost and space.

Cost and space is why I've been moving to the candy lines as well! Figuarts will always be the best-looking, of course, but generally speaking I get about as much out of Juuga or Diend at this size as I would at 6' with heavy details.

Which is why I'd so so love to see Kikaider, Robot Detective, Gavan, Metalder, Inazuman... so many others at this scale

Blog this week was just the promised Converge info (the Faiz/Decade/Zi-O wave shown above), but they're now saying there'll be SO-DO CHRONICLE news next week (one hour later than usual for some reason). Since the CHRONICLE "homework" vote was held a fair bit later than mainline SO-DO's, I imagine this won't be news on that; and of course there's nothing else for Faiz to cover unless they do Orphnochs, so this should be a new line.

YU-DO looks way better than Action Hero. The main thing for me is YU-DO has functional shoulder pads and not just shoulder pads sculpted into the arms. Also take another look at Action Hero Red's helmet and then the YU-DO. The sculpt is way better.

I'm VERY glad the accessories are included in the boxes this time! I was very confused last year when they split the Donbrothers into two boxes each but they couldn't even include the guns or alternate hands in one of them. I'm impressed that all accessories, actually, are included with each Ranger with no need for an accessory box at all; you get the full package here!

Might have to lay down a pre-order on this, but the lack of info on Kingohger so far has me hesitating

I'm gonna put a bet on Kiva, for no real reason besides it's got some great suits and enough to fill a wave or 3 easily.

My guess is PB Horse Orphnoch set. Because just about every time they say Chronicle next week when we're done with a series, they reveal 1-2 PB sets first, then then in like 3 weeks they'll reveal the next series for Chronicle. I would say the God, Speed, Love trio, but since they were in the Homework vote, I don't think it will be.

Anyways, I kind of want Hibiki for the sheer amount of Riders in it. A line of just Hibiki Riders would have a lot of figures. In fact I don't think 3 waves would even be enough to make them all. Biggest problem is Hibiki Riders are very shiny and kind of need a paint budget to look remotely good. I don't think it's a great idea, but it's the most interesting of what's left.

Would they really do all the minor Riders, though? I can see us getting Hibiki (Regular, Kurenai, Armed), and then Ibuki, Todoroki, and Zanki, but all the rest are more uncertain.

I was thinking on it earlier, and given how they often handle these lines I think they would do all the Riders... featured in the TV show. So aside from the main guys listed above, you've got notable antagonist Shuki; three minor guys Eiki, Sabaki and Danki; and then Kyoki from the final episode. Everyone else was either movie-exclusive or in the second opening only, which, I don't think even SO-DO is insane enough to look at those guys for consideration. Movie riders or at least Kabuki alone could be a Preban release easily.

Along with the 6 actual major suits, if you cut one of those out that makes a clean two waves of five figures each. My thinking is it'd be Kyoki. I think this is fairly reasonable!

Probably not, but a Hibiki Chronicle line would probably be the closest chance they have of getting made.

MINOR?! Sabaki, the hardest-working Oni in Japan, is minor?! How dare you! I am as furious as the time Sabaki had to take out seventeen Makamou in a weekend, before Hibiki showed up to claim credit for taking out the eighteenth.

Sabaki's too much of a hard worker to model for your toy line, but he's glad you're thinking of him as he takes another full day to save the world.

I wanna say it's gonna be post decade cause we just got 2 pre decade series. I think maybe Wizard for the anniversary, but I'm hoping Ghost.

Oh yeah, they like to do anniversaries. Wizard's was last year, but they do it late sometimes, so still could do that. I just fear Beast would be a PB figure and that's really all I need from Wizard. I'd still welcome it if only because the Shodo Wizard wasn't that great.

Going on the anniversary approach, we can strike Build (5), Gaim (10), and Faiz (20) because they have all been done (though a new Gaim PB set is probably on the table, plenty left to do there). Can also strike the Black RX and V3 because Showa is unlikely without just doing a bunch of them at once. That leaves Kiva and Kiva would work well in Chronicle. A lot like how Agito would work out.

I still want Ghost, but I'm very happy with the Shodo and if SO-DO doesn't do exactly what I want from a Ghost SO-DO line, I'd probably pass on it now.

When it comes to Showa I imagine most would be done at once, but both Black and RX have enough for at least one wave each (possibly one bundled Black/RX line actually). Black, Shadow Moon, Battle Hopper, Black RX, Robo Rider, Bio Rider, Acrobatter... easy enough to see that as a line.

Wizard I imagine would go a lot like Kuuga and have the 'enhanced' versions of the four base forms as Premium Bandai; especially with the dragon parts. Otherwise it fits very well into a couple SO-DO waves -- Wave 1 of the four base forms plus an effects set; Wave 2 of Infinity, Beast, Beast Hyper, Wiseman and maybe Sorcerer or another accessory box (Beast's mantles come to mind). Pretty neat!

I'm surprised more people aren't doing 3D printed customs on SODO bodies. A lot of them come apart in ways that are really conducive to the bulky Metal Heroes style suits.

I want to do this for Geats OCs but have enough projects.

Premium Banda Ouja Set, feat Ouja Survive from the Kamen Rider Outsiders special that I forgot was coming out today, and Ouja Blank from the 13 Riders special! 4900 Yen for both plus some options parts, and I think this rounds out everything in show, unless you want to start pushing for Abyss cause he was in Rider Time: Ryuki.

Next week will be a review of SHODO-O 11 before it releases.

Ouja Blank is a fascinating inclusion because I'm pretty sure he was in the Homework vote poll! So do all the votes there just go to waste...?

Well I at least called it being a PB set and not the next series. I just completely forgot Ouja Survive was an option. Also, Ouja Blank was listed on Homework, so a God, Speed, Love set (and so, so much Gaim) is back on the table for next time they do a PB set.

He was definitely in the homework, but they do explicitly mention in the blog Ouja Blank being getting a lot of requests in "the Ryuki survey" - I don't know if thas the same thing, or if it influenced the decision here, because as they say, it's a straghtup repaint with no tooling required. Guess we'll find out!

I always saw the Homework Poll as a gauge to see what people want, not necessarily that they were obligated to do the top picks

Made big sodo purchase from bbts, they had half off a bunch of mirror monsters, so that was a good way to snag em.

Some nice photos of Shodo-O11 this week, next week an advert for Faiz Wave 2.

Like pretty much all recent waves of Shodo, Shodo-O 11 has two case assortments with different duplicates. Both assortments have 2 of Eternal and Weather. The last duplicate is either a Yummy or Birth. I don't know why they keep doing this to the troop builder even when there's only one in the wave, but they did it again.

Side note, my case is in the mail and I'll have an extra Eternal and Weather, so if anyone's interested, hit me up.

Yeah, I get the dupe of a guy as popular as Eternal; but I definitely think the second assured dupe should have been the Yummy... bit of a strange choice.

Eternal and Birth are 2/3 of who I really wanted from this wave so pretty good news for me either way :] Now I just hope Uva isn't difficult to get...

Got Shodo-O 11 in today (I always forget how fast shipping can be sometimes) along with a SO-DO N-Daguva-Zeba that was on clearance.

Here's some random off the cuff thoughts:

SO-DO N-Daguva-Zeba's stickers are terrible. Not in a hard to apply way like the Golden Power set, but in a they fall off immediately kind of way. Thankfully there's very few stickers and I can paint those, but still. Also the hips are loose. Starting to see why this is one of the more common PB sets.

Birth is nicer than I thought he'd be. The new sculpted detail on the forehead is quite nice. He's a lot like OOO and moves around what does and doesn't get painted.

I was lucky enough to get the assortment with two Yummies and I like them. Solid trooper. Not much to them, but that's what Yummies are.

Uva is a lot like the other bugs in this line with long soft antennas and horns. Going to have to work them out over time. His hand claw is neat, it's a single piece that pegs into all the right hands.

Specter is all the good things I have to say about the Ghost mold, now in blue and a rifle he can slap you with.

Eternal's cape is to thick and gets in the way, but I don't think it limits him nearly as much as past capes in Shodo has (looking at you Apollo Geist). The flames are sculpted on the arms. I wasn't expecting that.

R Nazca is the first time I've had this mold and it's pretty decent. The legs have a surprising range of movement for the design. The shoulder pads however, they don't want to move out of the way when posing. Rather limiting.

Weather gets in his own way at all times. The waist joint barely works, the elbow can bend 45 degrees at best. There's weird flaps hanging off the wrists that basically removes any range of motion. Still loos cool.
