Have you done it, spraying the chrome parts with matte coat? Does it work fine? I want to play with the toys so the chrome part is concerning me. Also, did you spray the entire figure or use masking tape?

For those of you waiting on Shin Cyclone, mine just arrived today and foot peg broke off very easily while posing 2+1 on it (wasn't even doing anything crazy he was just sitting on the bike), so do be careful!

Also I had this weird thing happen with HobbyGenki twice now, the boxes will always arrive in tact/no damage but the plastic tray inside is all warped up. Luckily it didn't damage the bike this time but maybe it had something to do with the foot peg on my breaking off very easily. Anyone had this happen to their packages?

Yep had it happened twice. First my Saber figuart hand broke off from the ball joint happen two years ago only took out the box new and plastic tray was warped. Second time my geats figuart ship new took out of the box tray was bent all over and geats neck snap. This is why I don?t buy from hobby genki I don?t trust them.

How will they do ninja fever? Will they have swappable thigh pieces for the green band and for the gold band on each of Tycoon’s legs?

Will they just put in an extra set of legs with no thigh band pieces for geats or anyone else to use?

What about if you want a tycoon with ninja pants and a non-ninja top? He would need the green leg band and no gold leg band.

I will be very interested to see their solution to this. I think it has to be swappable thigh pieces.

Also just judging by the secondary market, I have to imagine Tycoon is next. He is always sold out on Mandarake.

The upcoming fever forms combined with SHF Upgrade's eye sets for the DGP helmets means you'll have double-ups of most torsos that you can use for some of the others.

Extra ninja torso for Keilow, extra Monster torso for Nudge Sparrow.

Why are we putting blame on the retailers when the box is clearly sealed and undamaged?

Isn't it just part of the QC issue? Or what you imply is that it is totally because of the way they shipped, which results in internal breakages but somehow the outer box is undamaged?

Not particularly blaming the retailer, just weird that my last 2 orders from HobbyGenki have this issue while my packages from NinNin/Amiami/HLJ seems unaffected. Either I was super unlucky with QC or something happened during shipping that caused the plastic trays to get warped.

I got my Shin Cyclone/2+1/Batta Aug/Shocker Cyclone from Hobby Genki and none of the packaging or figures had issues -- I'm sorry your experience was so bad.

I have ordered a lot of stuff from Hobby Genki and they have been pretty great. The only thing weird that happened to me was they sent the ark zero one SHF to me without the brown shipping box. I’m pretty sure that was a pbandai exclusive, but it did not have the brown shipper box when they sent it to me. I preordered it and everything too. It’s not like I bought it used or open box or anything.

It was no big deal, because I throw those brown boxes away, but it was a little bit strange.

Do people really keep those brown shippers? I remembers when my collection started to grow to a point that I want to organize so that I know what the figuart is without taking the box away from the storage, I decided to throw all the brown shippers away.

I keep all of mine - but then I keep absolutely everything. Even the FedEx packing slips, for some reason.

The best reason I could think of for keeping the brown shipper box is that it is a bit sturdier than the regular packaging. If you wanted to stack a bunch of boxes really high up, then the brown shipper box would be more structurally sound.

I don’t keep them, but I don’t judge anyone who does. Everyone has their process when collecting.

I also used to keep all the brown shippers but since reorganizing and finally realizing storage space isn't infinite, I now throw the majority of them away since they usually add extra dimensions that can make them annoying to store next to regular boxes.

Only really keep the ones that go with releases that can fetch legit aftermarket money if I ever decide to purge them, like the Dragonball stuff.

I recently started collecting Dragonball SHF. I know it is very popular worldwide but the demand is insane. Technically the value of every P-banai exclusive release increases, if not skyrockets, once the stock are all gone. So basically you can purchase, enjoy and then get 100%+ money back without any problem. Sentai/Kamen Rider SHF is a totally different story.

Toku-related SHFs can vary. Stuff like SHF Ultraman Titas, SKC Hyper Kabuto, SKC Eternal, etc. are some examples of releases that didn't just keep their value but doubled it in most cases and kept it there. Meanwhile releases that were extremely pricy on the aftermarket before, like Horobi or Valkyrie, are now down to retail or even below today.

Compared to Dragonball where I know I can sell my Cooler for double-plus the price without a second thought cause the market on that end is insane.

The Ultraman Titas SHF hurts me so much. I skipped over him in favor for 01 Shining Assault Hopper, and while I don't regret getting it, I regret not getting Titas more. Especially since SA Hopper is generally much easier to get.

They're secretly debating whether or not to make all those extra forms that are mostly concept art into real figures.

I'd realistically assume PuToTyra hasn't dropped at all yet because of how the form works and how that would translate into a figure.

One being would it keep the form swap gimmick or not since that form doesn't mix and match like the others and the other being making physical representations of its abilities like previous forms. In this case the giant head wings or the tail. Could that cause fragility and/or stability issues, is it worth just not including, etc.

They could just not do either and drop the figure with no swap mechanic or add-on parts, but will consumers complain about it.
