For the next anime I plan to watch, I may watch Full Metal Panic next. I remember seeing the first two episodes over a decade ago. It look like a fun show. I still need to finish the 90's Golgo 13 movie and the recent Golgo TV series from a while back.

This looks good. I saw the manga at Barnes and Noble and almost picked it up. Which would you suggest?

A lot of my friends are into this but I have no idea what it is. I assume you'd recommend?

I started watching this but I kind of felt like I wasn't familiar enough with either property to really enjoy it.

Oh man, Guyver, seeing Kimera on your list got me thinking of some of the worst anime series I have ever seen aside that one. MD Geist, Ninja Resurrection, Biohunter, Final Fantasy Legend of the Crystals, Gate Keepers, and Peacock King. Oh god those were all terrible, but nothing was as bad as Weib Kreuz.

I kinda enjoy Bio Hunter when I first saw it. I thought the idea behind the anime was interesting. MD Geist was bad, but it's very cheesy for me to watch. I remember renting Legend of the Crystals on VHS, but I remember it being okay. I didn't see the others.

I also really hated Doomed Megalopolis, Genesis of Aquarion, RahXephon, Diabolik Lovers, Skelter+Heaven and Kiss x Sis (I could not finish the first episode).

It was a really good movie. I didn't read the manga, but I found the movie to be really well done. I also like Summer Wars which is another movie that Mamoru Hosoda directed.

I think it helps that you know with one of the properties to enjoy it. I do recommended reading the Devilman manga since it's one of my favorite manga of all time. It's from the 70's, some of the stuff is dated but I still think it has a very strong story overall. The OVA's are pretty good too (The third one is a alternate version of the final chapter of the manga. So it has spoilers). The 70's anime TV series is very different from the manga and anime, but still a fun monster of the week show similar to Ultraman.

Cyborg 009 is a fun manga, but I never finish it due to lack of proper English translation scans. I do enjoy the early 2000's TV series.

I personally like it. I watch it on Toonami from start to finish. It has some major flaws, but I find it to be a very fun action series. I'm still reading the manga and people will likely tell you read that instead. However the anime is worth a watch.

I love RahXephon. I think it is better than Evangelion.

I could not finish RahXephon during it's third episode over several years ago. The show gives me a huge headache. The only thing that I like about it was the animation and that was it.

The only thing I prefer about it to Evangelion is the fact that it's not MOTW for most of the series.


So I just watched My Hero Academia episode 6. It was a great episode, but I really don't like how slow it's moving. There's only 12 episodes, but last episode they finally finished covering the first volume of the manga. I assume they'll do a second season at some point, but I'm still worried about it.

Magnificent adaptation of the first part to the epic final chapter of the first game!

Just finished Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro. It wasn't my favorite Miyazaki movie (I think I'd still give that title to Nausicaa, though it comes close) but it's a great example of anime done well. Enjoyable characters, adventurous spirit, and just an all-around good time. Definitely glad I picked this one up.
