Pffft lol. Yeah I haven't gotten Figuarts before because of how dang expensive they are. Most of what I wanted was way more than what I could afford back then (I was a high school student whrn most of the stuff I wanted was released, and they've inflated somewhat in the aftermarket). Not to mention that I was super stingy with my money.

And having finally gotten Figuarts...well honestly? I think they're pretty neat, but I can now say for sure that they're definitely not my type of collectible. I mean, I can see myself buying them again in the future, but they're so expensive and small that I think I'll have to restrict myself to just buying those whose designs hold important meaning to me. I might check out SO-DO, but for now I'm just happy to finally get something I've had my eye on since high school.

And on that note, I feel super old now lol.

Well I got lucky with securing Amazing Mighty Pre-Bandai US after missing out when Hobby-Genki listing went up and also missing out on Tycoon Bujin Sword

There’s a chance pbandai us could put Bujin Sword back up for preorder. Don’t lose hope. Kamen Rider 1 - The Next sold out and got relisted a few days later. Could happen again with Bujin Sword.

Grabbing this, I'm curious if there's any differences beyond the tiny running change in the helmet.

I have the original amazing mighty so I didn't pay too much attention when Hobby Genki open preorder but I am sure it is gone fast.

Take Tycoon Bujun Sword as an example, on the day of opening preorder, I constantly check Hobby Genki starting from around 4pm PST to look for the corresponding listing and set up email notification. I like this way of preordering as usually there are a few hours difference between they set up the listing and open the preordering (around 11 or 12pm Japan Time), I can then preorder immediately once I receive email notification.

Dang. Amazing Mighty Kuuga sold out on US Pbandai. Maybe they are playing around with the preorder allocations on Kamen Rider SHF, and setting them low. Or maybe they are selling out big time.

I've generally had a very good experience with Luna Park for buying Figuarts - I usually use them when I've missed out on buying chances from other sources - and hopefully this is just a one-off but thought I'd do a quick post about an issue I had with my most recent purchase.

The gist is I had a pretty unpleasant interaction with their customer service after trying to resolve an issue with receiving three Figuarts that were already opened even though I preordered brand new items. They were very casual about everything and non-apologetic about the whole ordeal. I had to ask multiple times what could be done to resolve this but they didn't answer and just asked or said other things (including making me repeat things I already told them). Eventually I asked if they had new stock and, if so, can we just do an exchange to which they just gave a flat "no" with no follow-up. At that point I got angry and said they were being unhelpful which they said is a "very bad word in Japan" and that they advised me not to use it again...

I told them that since they shipped the package, they should just let me exchange the items since it was an expensive order and it's not my fault that this happened. They then said, "This is not China" and that they have to follow procedures in Japan. This was both baffling and maddening as this was an order that was sent to the U.S. so I'm not sure why they were talking as if I was from China.

Anyway, their solution is that they will contact Bandai and then get back to me but I'm not really sure I care to deal with them any further after that interaction. Hopefully this was just one bad customer service representative but I also had a person that talked similarly to them when I was asking about why my ordered hadn't shipped yet before this. I'm also not really sure this is Bandai's fault as I wonder if they sourced my figures from a third-party or something since they actually shipped my order almost two months late. So maybe they were just making up excuses at the point where I was asking for an exchange. That's all just speculation, of course.

Wow that sucks to hear what happened to you. It sounds like they got their Figuarts from a third party. Since you had waited 2 months to get your preorder ship. I would not deal with them anymore they treat you like crap and lie to you. You should of got new non open Figuarts not open ones. I would call my credit card company and dispute saying you did not get what you order and they lie to you and refused to fix it. Thanks for telling us about what happened I never order from them.

Yeah I saw the listing posted and did the email notification but in general I missed out as well about the email notification or should I say about the time I checked my phone and saw the notification and clicked on the link it was already sold-out for Bujin Sword.

It doesn't help that I work in a location currently where I'm not allowed to have my phone or even access certain websites on the work computer. I knew he would sell-out fast which was why I wanted to make sure my notification was turned on.

Yeah, again, hopefully I just got unlucky with the situation and getting this customer service agent and they normally aren't this bad. But I personally won't be ordering from them again. I will say I got an email today from a different person who was much more polite and asked me to give them some time to resolve the issue. But they also listed a bunch of reasons why a chargeback would be bad for me, which is kind of suspicious so I'm still thinking I won't bother dealing with them and just go through my credit card company to dispute the charge.

One thing I would like to get some clarification on if anyone else knows about this: The outer, brown shipper boxes for all the Figuarts I received had a Yamato transport label directly on them. Yamato Transport is like a UPS or FedEx in Japan. I've never seen this before but Luna Park said this is normal and that Bandai is shipping Figuarts to stores using Yamato Transport now. It seems a bit suspicious though because I imagine they get their products in a larger box rather than getting individual items. Maybe I'm out of the loop though and this is a new thing?

On the last picture you can see it looks like they tried to remove it which is what made me think these labels aren't normally on there.

No the Yamato transport label is not new it means that the Figuarts were ship to someone address in japan what that means is they are using someone address to ship items to a person house and NOT their address. I know this cause when I preorder from a company all my Figuarts were brand new and had no yamato transport label on them and I had lots of items on preorder never any labels. It was ship in a big box the preorders to the company then ship in another box to me. luna park is lying about items being new quickly dispute with your card company and get all your money back.

Sorry this happened to you, I USED to use Luna Park for the occasional preorders, but their customer service (?really arrogant unapologetic and sometimes straight rude “customer service” but I digress) after the SS Original Colors Ichigo was it for me, tha last straw. I just asked why the shipping was taking so long, as their Ebay orders had been delivered (based on feedback) and they had a little bit of an attitude towards that line of questioning.

Yea, Dread looks pretty good! Though admittedly, some of the angles they took of it aren't the most flattering, I think. Best ones are when he's using the Bloody BBs, facing off against Gotchard SteamHopper, and the neutral standing poses. Also kinda wished he came with parts for Type One, Two, and Three, but I'll take the Bloody AB and BBs.

As long as the eventual Type Three can swap between One and Two, and comes with the Bloody UC and DO.

Fire Gotchard SteamHopper is also pretty great, too. Would love it if they include parts to let you turn him into either Fire Gotchard AppareSkebow or Fire Gotchard AntWrestler.

Dang that is fast. Feels like it's the fastest we've had teasers for an Ultraman. So is it Arc and swappable armor pieces, or are all three their own release? If it's the latter, I think I'll just get the Solis Armor, because I like me some punchy heavily armored lads.... unless normal Arc is the only one that comes with the Arc Eye Sword. That might make me want to get all three.

Helps that the Luna Armor looks better as a figure than it does as a suit, since something always felt off about how it looked to me.

Yeah I want those. Regular Arc for the main Ultra-display and the alt-forms will work well with each other, given the sun/moon-theme.

Edit: while uploading more listings for Gundams, PBandai US also put up a preorder listing for Kamen Rider Dread! We got him, ladies and gentlemen!

Dread was supposed to be available for preorder on 5th of July but somehow it was delayed and that probably explains why Hobby Genki was late too.

Dread is now up for pre-order on P-Bandai US.

Still no sign of Ultradad or Arc though.
