Does anyone know any good stages for Figuarts? I recently bought Goodsmile Company's The Simple Stand and the connection sheared right off! It was my first time wiht an action stand so I didn't know how snug the connection was suppsoed to be, but it felt a bit too tight.

I get that Tamashii Stages are, like, the default answer, but I'm wondering if there are other alternatives as well. Otherwise I'm inclined to just make my own stand out of wire, but I would really prefer that as a last resort because of how tacky they can look.

Yeah, $20 wasted. I don't think the connection would be as strong even if I tried to fix it by isntalling a wire inside, so I don't know if I should even bother.

I've been tempted to get some knockoff tamashii stands from amazon, where a pack of 10 is around 20 bucks or so

FWIW, the newer tamashii stands come in a 2-pack

An Action Base 6 or 7 coud also work if you're ok with building something from a runner.

Not sure if Bandai Action Bases have the strength to support the weight of a Figuart.

I would strongly look into the Act 4 for Humanoid. The redesigned arm is a boon if you're tight for space and the third point of contact means you can hold a dynamic/airborne pose a lot better without worrying about the figure falling out from the clamp. Plus it's fairly inexpensive and easy to find just about anywhere.

How durable are they? Because I do not like the idea of paying for this, plus shipping (Act 4 is like, 50 bucks here in Australia for some reason so I have to buy from Japan), and then have them break on me like Goodsmile's did.

The plastic Bandai uses feels a lot better than the plastic Goodsmile does. I've had the peg that goes into the figure on a GSC stand break twice; worst I've ever had with the Tamashii stages is the opposite of what happened to you, the port for the peg cracking due to ever so slightly diameters between the many, many, many releases of the Tamashii stand. But as long as you keep them together it's not that big of an issue and even then, it's a solid connection and holds really well.

We got our next Gotchard SHF, (Fire) Gotchard Daybreak! And he comes with a cloth cape, it seems! Really cool. Kinda frustrated though, since this means that SHF Tycoon Bujin Sword was this close to having a cloth cape, too. Oh well.

I haven't seen a single episode of Gotchard, but Gotchard Daybreak is an absolute eye candy of a suit.

The rider from the not so popular show get the cloth cape. The rider from the very popular show Geats tycoon final form get the garage plastic cape make it make sense. Who at Bandai make these choices for rider figuarts?

I mean, I like Gotchard. So I think it's pretty cool. Like my frustration that SHF Tycoon Bujin Sword doesn't have a cloth cape is independent of me liking that (Fire) Gotchard Daybreak has one.

I do not think is two pieces. Should be one piece but they bend it and get something to hold the position of the cape for the photo.

Bujin Sword is a more recent example. Sadly.

Huh weird, they just had a pre-order drop on Tuesday? I mean this has happened before (split retail pre-order drops) and they have teased Nosferatu Zodd from Berserk which was noticeably absent on Tuesday so maybe they will have another drop.

Anyways, I'm really digging Gavv as a show so far so I want this, I would absolutely love Punching / Kicking Gummy effect parts to put over the fist / feet, but no way in hell will they make those, too afraid to include fun or worthwhile accessories these days, so I won’t even hope to see those happening.

I agree it's unlikely, but also nearly certain for SHFUpgrade. I half-suspect the SHF people are factoring Upgrade into their production-cost analysis. ("Eh, we don't have to tampo-print this, SHFU will just make stickers.")

KR Gav’s start has been very fun! I would love to get the SHF and how the he’ll come with no gummy effects and his sword will come with the secondary rider SHF release (hopefully at retail) lolz

I wouldn't be mad if they include the gummy effect pieces with Valen actually, as long as that one is retail as well.

The sword will probably come with Gavv, they do include weapons with main Riders based on the last two instances thankfully.

Unpopular opinion: I want the armor pieces to be made out of that really soft plastic so that the armor has flex and feels "gummy" in-hand.

Should be fine material wise since the armor pieces aren't really under any stress when you articulate the figure, since they rest on top of the body.

Gavv looks great just don?t like he doesn?t come with the sword. I hoping Valen or the bike will have the sword come with them.

I?d be shocked if a bike is on the table but it would help to pack it with the gummy kick and punch. Sword will probably come with the secondary Rider at (hopefully) retail release.

Damn Gavv’s a winner. Holy heck does this look gorgeous, clear plastic was definitely the way to go here. And thank god the shoulder pads are mounted on the chest armor. I mean the design kind of forces them to, but I really assumed they would still find an ungodly method to fix them to the shoulders instead.

Perfect looking figure, I’ll buy it. Lack of sword is interesting, that and the rather early release makes me think Valen will be retail and include it, which strangely enough I think is a good thing. I mean getting another Rider at retail. Then again I have been wrong so far, so he’ll probably be a Web-Shop exclusive.

The colors on the figure don't capture the luster of the suit at all.

Maybe it's caused by the studio lighting. The actual suit looks better under natural/outdoor lighting, especially the armors. And maybe a little more saturation on the yellow, blue, and purple paints could help make it pop (haha!) and give it more oomph, especially on the yellow on the eyes that does look too thin/muted compared to the ones on the armor parts.
