Oh wow this looks great! Definitely see the desaturation in the product images, compared to Gavv in the show, but funnily enough I just re-looked at the handoff from Gotchard's last episode and Gavv there looks more like the figure. I guess Gavv's own show is just colour graded in much higher contrast.
Do we think the Gavv's mouth opens like to put in a gochizou or not? I'm assuming the gochizou is moulded in, but would be nice if you could at least open the top of the belt to simulate putting it in.

Despite no sword or effects included I’m still getting this figure, it just looks so colorful and fun to pose. The proportions look a heck of a lot better then Gotchard’s SHF and I’m looking forward to having the pair on my deck.

Yeah, had it been a rider like Blade or Saber I would've been furious but riders like Gavv whose main fighting style doesn't involve a sword I don't mind.

Call me crazy but as much as I love Hibiki, I'm skipping this. The base suit is so good to me that I don't really like Kurenai/Armed and they feel like aesthetic downgrades in my eyes. Objectively he looks like a great figure!

We've got Ultimate Kuuga, Shining Agito, Ryuki Survive, Faiz Blaster, Blade King, Hibiki Armed, Hyper Kabuto, Den-O Liner, Decade Complete, W CycloneJoker Xtreme, OOO PuToTyra, Fourze Cosmic, Wizard Infinity, Gaim Kiwami, Drive Type Tridoron, Ex-Aid Hyper Muteki, Build Genius, and Grand Zi-O, so... yep, even considering how dated some of them are, that just leaves Mugen. Andyeah I guess we got Kiva Emperor if you're one of those weirdos who actually think Kiva is real.

After that Ghost Mugen prototype being shown years ago, it's almost a little funny that this feels like Bandai basically saying "no, you don't understand, we hate Ghost"

But really didn't see this coming! Thought this would have a bit more fanfare around it's revea - looks utterly gorgeous and a treat to get for the 20th anniversary.

I think we can just wait for Ghost SKC to be release at this point instead of waiting for Ghost Mugen.

Aren't most Rider final forms aesthetic downgrades? The "base" form is always super-carefully designed, and later forms usually seem drastically less so, adding bits to an otherwise-sleek design.

My one regret in passing on this is that it's probably better-engineered than the original Shinkocchou Seihou release, which looks... not necessarily great next to more recent releases.

Tried my hand at a customization for Kamen Rider Demons. Removed the shoulderpads and attached them to the chest armor (which is itself now a free-floating piece that can move independent of the body's inner frame) -- it's not perfect given it's my first time trying this mod and the asymmetric, one-particularly-heavy pad didn't help. However, it's a nice looking result for a first try and not only looks more show-accurate but gives his right arm more range than it did before!

Random Thought while realizing I am missing several new SHF releases-How and WHY in the world has SH Figuarts never made even a Prototype of one of the most important supporting character in Kamen Rider history: *Tachibana Tobei* ??????? Now #1 on my wishlist of unmade characters

If they get his likeness for kamen rider, they could probably get it for Ultraman too. I?d love a cap figure. Uh, i would cop a cap figure, no cap?

That would kinda hard to do, seeing as Akiji Kobayashi, Tachibana Tobei's actor, died in the 1990s, and I'm not sure how or if they could get permission to use his likeness.

Medicom has already done it in two of their lines, so it?s a matter of paperwork with his license holder

I hope soon because the turnaround for Gavv was so quick that one could assume Valen follows suit.

The thing is we're pretty much guaranteed at least a look at the prototype in like 4 weeks since their big event where they unveil all the new stuff happens then.

But fingers crossed we see him before that!

The only thing I could imagine delaying it would be Bandai struggling to get the textures right.

I really hope they don't make him web exclusive or premium. Would be a damn travesty if they do.

So since no one else has posted, I take it I'm the first to get Baron in.

I wish I could say I was pleased to be such, but alas... this is a bittersweet victory.

Let me clarify: Baron himself is fine. As good a figure as you'd expect from SKC at this point, but my complaints with him are the same as Gaim - which if I didn't elaborate on previously, boils down to the Arms have a very loose
connection and have a tendency to pop off the torso if you so much as nudge them lightly, and the hands just seem ill-suited to holding the weapons for very long or while posing.

My real issue, however, is what should be my victory lap.

The end result is fine. It looks good. It looks like it should. It's still my favorite combo.

The execution is what I found lacking. You will note that, unlike the Arms Change figure, Gaim's upper torso is a proper silver like the suit itself.

This is because you can switch out the torsos fairly easily between figures. The issue then becomes... this is what's left of Baron.

As there's no spare chest part. Now you COULD just slap Gaim's chest on him, but the colors clash and of course, the look is completely inaccurate - Baron's chestplate only changes for Kiwi (green) and Lemon (black).

Now granted this is mostly just me being a whiny, nitpicky b!tc4 but after all the lengths that SKC has gone to, being left with a figure that's basically just spare parts just to Strongly Encourage you to get a second one...

Yeah, I don't know. I think this is as far as I go with the Gaim SKC line. I'll probably grab Bravo and, Godoka willing, Kamuro, but beyond this I'm... just feeling really disappointed. Part of that is almost certainly on me, but... eh.

I did get Baron and Gaim last week but the QC on Gaim was so atrocius that I needed to pretend that I didn't get them for days so that I wouldn't do something stupid out of impulse like throwing the figure straight into the trash where it belongs.

I have it posed in the cabinet now and will never touch it again.

Baron is fine QC-wise but yeah I'm 100% with you now, I don't really care for Seihou Gaim stuff anymore at this point, don't know if I will still buy Zangetsu and Ryugen like I originally intended to.

Thankfully I still have the OG releases, for they are superior after all.

I always thought that the original Gaim SHF looked fine and that this was just for those who wanted the Arms Change gimmick. Glad I didn't preorder the SHF SS.

Yowza, I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad it's not just me having issues. My Gaim is Fine, it's just that the compromises made in the name of the gimmick don't sit well for me.

Paraphrasing something I've heard re: Legacy Armada Megatron - This new one is a great representation of the character, but the old one was a better toy.

Half tempted to backtrack for the Arms Change figures, honestly. At least those I generally don't have to worry about breaking something on while changing gear.

It's sounds, from your comments and the ones below, like there are just flat-out QC problems with this line. This has been my concern ever since... which was the first Shinkocchou Seihou figure to try to replicate a Rider's form-change gimmick? Was it Den-O? OOO? The Seihou line is losing some of the things that made it great in the name of swappable-armor gimmicks.

In my case, the sword on his helmet crest came off immediately after he came out of the box. I was able to pop it back on, but that definitely set a tone. His hip accessories kept popping off when I tried to swap out his hands and get him in a simple, neutral pose, and I was reminded unpleasantly of the things I hadn't been so thrilled with about original Figuarts Gaim.

The figure looks nice so long as I don't touch it, but I'm not looking forward to further posing it, or making use of the Pine/Ichigo set I preordered.

I'd been hoping Shinkocchou Seihou would finally get around to Fourze, but now, I'm significantly less excited, given we can pretty much assume Bandai will return to the limb-swapping.
