Batman Beyond is defintely my favorite, but unfortunately a lot of folks consider the ugly duckling of the series (since it wasn't canon and etc). Funny story about Beyond. It all got started because Kenner approached Bruce Timm, and asked whether he can come up with another series...cause they needed to sell more toys.

They're only instructions were: Whatever you do...don't make his suit black. Because black colored toys don't sell.

Lol. That set of instructions didn't last too long.

Yeah, the belt is a nice touch.

Since when is Batman Beyond out of canon? if I remember correctly various JLU episodes feature Terry, most notriously "Epilogue"

Beyond has always been and always will be my favorite Batman show, everything from the characters to the new gotham click perfectly with me.

Also that Opening, that opening indeed.

Before the Batman Beyond started, there was no such thing as Terry McGinnis and etc. There were plenty of "future batmans", but none of them involved the characters from Beyond. It was only a few years later, that they officially made Beyond canon and part of the official DC universe.

*edit*, yeah..that opening still holds up. R.I.P. Shirley Walker...she was the one that pretty much taught Danny Elfman how to compose for movies and etc. Before her, Danny Elfman didn't know how to read music. Great rocker, but not composer yet.

I thought Batman Beyond came from WB wanting a "Batman in high school" series.

Which also led to various jabs in "New Adventures of Batman" about networks wanting younger audiences.

So I just finished watching the Prime finale.

I thoroughly enjoyed Prime, even through some of it's not as strong bits. I'm really going to miss the show now that it's done.

I Know there's still a direct to TV movie after this, but see Cartoon Network? THIS is how you end a series.

Oh yeah. Because Batman's black suit was the worst! What kid wants to play with a superhero that's all dark and brooding while dressed in a black bat suit? :lol

You know what black costume was also a commercial failure? Darth Vader's! :lolol
