Mosasaurus is not really that close to a Megalodon. The fins and body shape are different. I would like to see nautilus too, but let's call it ammonite because they're bigger and more ancient looking.

Ammonite and Nautilus... Not bad ideas. My only critic is this, those two have shells, so does Archelon. Do we need two shell hacking forms?


Why not go with an ancient scorpion? I know it sounds weird, but scorpions used to be very large and seafaring creatures. So why not go with that? Or some form of ancient crustacean?

I said ammonite should be used instead of nautilus. I think the best set is plesio, mosasaur, archelon, and megalodon.

I didn't mean to use them both. I was referencing to what they were.

For defense we should go with an archelon.

I guess my small problem with Megalodon and Archelon is that, while technically they're prehistoric sea creatures, they just don't scream DINO to me. One's a big 'ol shark and the other is a big 'ol turtle thing. I just think there might be more interesting and more dinosaur looking marine reptiles to choose from.

Your problem is a valid one. But we want people to at least recognize what we're going for here. I know when I planned my own Dino Rider a while back, I planned on using more unknown dinos that lead up to the more known ones. But what can you do? The masses wants recognizability.
