Ok, so we've got Showa Riders up to ZX, including recolours of Ichigou, Niigou and Amazon with the fabric scarves as they looked in the ZX movie. Do we think the recolours will get actual releases?

I speak from the 4 different Ichigou Seihous I own personally that marks will buy them over and over again even for these slight differences, but I wouldn't want to assume this speaks true to the general figure-buying audience!

Also, more Kiva forms when, Bandai???

Should be noted the Ichigou, Niigou, and Amazon are labeled "Legendeary Showa Edition", so does sound like an avenue to reissue them

The reissues coming with cloth scarves make me happy. I also accept that I'll probably be the only one getting Super-1.

The folded-up Arms is honestly unneeded in my opinion. It's neat, but not something I'm inclined to get.

I think the most Gaim will benefit from the Seihou line would be Kiwami. The old Orange Arms is fine, but the old Kiwami is in serious need of an update.

Finally getting SHF Kiwi Arms is nice though, I'll admit.

Super-1 is my favorite Showa Rider; I'm looking forward to this one the most! :D

Absolutely based. Super-1 is an underrated Rider (even if the actor is a different story).

Yeah, actor aside, Super-1 is cool. Love his kamehameha pose.

It's the hands for me, that gimmick is so cool, and it will work perfectly in action figure form.

Also the martial arts theme of the show rules. The first half of Super-1 in general rocks. Second half is generic dung but at least the villains are kinda cool.

It's probably going to be the same as Fourze's accessories when it comes out.

It's not just the folded up Arms, though- the chest part is different to replicate the Generic Ridewear. On the current SKCs, Gaim and Baron both have smooth chest plates under the Arms, this is more in line with the way the Arms Change figures were with the full undersuits.

I don't disagree that it's unneeded, but more than that I'm just very, very tired of these piecemeal releases... Much like the Transformers Legacy Armada toys, more than anything it just makes me strongly consider going back and getting the originals.

I'll be honest, as much as I love Kachidoki, I will probably skip Kachidoki and go straight to Kiwami if the floppiness of Orange Arms is any indication.

And you weren't here when it all went down so I need you to understand I went full gorilla-grade bonkers when both of those forms debuted.

Were I in a more charitable mood I'd say I'm getting two sets so I could have a Mango Zangetsu and Baron and someone could take the spare Kiwi.

It was the one Showa Rider SHF I had for the longest time, and it was still really neat even as the line progressed through Drive into modernity. I'll have to work the show into my weekly watch parties sometime.

I am 100% okay with accessory sets so long as they don't cost as much as a full damn figure (SKC Pine and Ichigo Arms, I glare unto thee)- unless they come with a bunch of stuff to actually make it feel like the price point is justified.

I think some of the labels at the event were a little misleading? (At least I hope they were...). For instance Mango and Kiwi Arms for Baron and Ryugen were listed as if they were dedicated releases. You'd assume they'd just package them up as an Arms Set like Pine and Ichigo when it comes to actual release? So hoping the same stands true for things like the Punchin and Kickin Gummy assists. Totally agree the piecemeal nature of things is very off-putting, but hopefully they at least have the sense to merge smaller option parts into a single product.

I was clearly in the minority here as my Gaim came solid and feeling good, but I'd be fuming if I'd gone for the premium line of an already premium line and got shafted with QC. I would love the Gaim Options Parts set for a metallic mechanical orange (and screen-accurate Ride Wear), but willing to accept that could be outright derangement on my part.

Yeah that's weird AF. The Gavv stuff has title cards on the gummy stuff that suggest it’s an entirely new figure, like you have to buy 2x more Gavv' or something and then there is that one card that just reads "Gavvblade and Gochispeeder" and I'm sitting here like - you're selling the sword by itself? Like, what?

That is assuming it will get released and not shafted. This year, more so then ever, I really felt like they were throwing stuff out there fully knowing they have no market for it.

QC-wise there's nothing wrong with mine, it's just that the engineering causes its primary selling point to be a loose-fitting floppy mess that I know Bandai is capable of better than because I've handled their now-pushing 15-years-old Armor Plus figures, which for all their many flaws, had an incredibly solid armor-up gimmick.

So of the three shf exclusives from Tamashii Nations 2024 (Blazar Armor, Faiz Accel, Geats Boost Mk3), does anyone have a favorite?

I guess mine might be the new Blazar form, which probably should have just been a general release.

I remember the first appearance color seihou of Ichigo was going for crazy money on Mandarake for months after the event it debuted at, but then the price calmed down to around 8k yen.

Hopefully Faiz is the same.

The only one I care about is Blazar, and I am still upset that they made that a show exclusive given it's his final form.

Wingman, like Gridman, looks to be a regular retail release in the US as opposed to Japan where it's P-Bandai. Popping up on the usual retailers like BBTS.

Interesting. Gridman makes kinda sense because of the western adaption and the anime being popular, but Wingman? Huh.

That figure looks great by the way, but I can't justify purchases for figures with "looks great" alone anymore, the prices are just too high.

How do you guys tighten the banana arms onto SS Kamen Rider Baron's chest? Mine's keep popping off whenever I pose the figure.

Does anyone think that Kamen Rider Zein will get in the SHF line?

He should I don?t see why not he was in every ep of outsiders. I was shock that he was not at TN 2024 maybe they waiting for final ep then show him off? Also they could try to figure out how to release him with all the weapons maybe that the issue?

Since Outsider ends this December, maybe it'll show up as a display model at the least in one of the major hobby conventions or a Tamashii Nation event of some sort next year in Japan.

Yikes they cut so many corners with the paint job that none of the colors blend well and the blue and black hues just dominate the color pallete. The undersuit isn't even black but more of a dark purple or dark navy blue with purple highlights painted over

Seiken set comes with all Seiken (cast in clear plastic) and Wonder Almighty book (that's thankfully printed).

Xross Saber and the Seiken suit looks way better than I imagined. I can definitely see myself picking them up in the future.

But their current price, pass. I'll wait maybe five years for their aftermarket price to go down.

I'm definitely getting Xross Saber and the sword set because Saber is still one of my favorite Reiwa series. I just realized the swords are translucent and Bandai how about you go ahead and announce Durandai already since a version of his seiken is lol

I have got all saber figuarts but I guess I will not preorder Xross and the set at this moment. It is an expensive combo. Maybe I will pick them up when they become cheaper after releases.

Yeah, well, Dangerous Zombie was expensive for a good while on the aftermarket but you can see some float around for reasonable prices now and then these days.

And I wasn't in the fandom back then, but I've heard horror stories about how inflated Gaim Figuarts got in the aftermarket back then.

So yeah I'm willing to wait.

The Gaim line was mostly tolerable except for Kiwami, Shin Zangetsu, and to a lesser extent, Bravo. Slaughtermelon was much like Dangerous Zombie and commanded upwards of 12000Y for a good while, then it dropped and that went to Kiwami. Bravo I don't remember being that expensive but most of the Gaim SHFs tended to hover around 5000-6000 while he spiked (HA!) around 9000 for a bit.

I remember everyone being shocked at how cheap Lemon Baron was following the initial rush. Probably the most overproduced an event exclusive's ever been- not that that's a bad thing, it's still a great figure after all.

Interesting. SHFU is advertising, of all things, a Baron Ringo Arms. I really liked the apple arms and really didn't care for the movie Rider attached to it, so this is pretty welcome. Looks like this won't require delicate surgery to apply, as it's just using the armor-swap architecture already in place. (I'm still smarting over having essentially destroyed my SHF Saber in my attempt to apply their skirt upgrade.) Seems like they're poised to hop on the Arms sets Bandai might not risk making.
