As much I love Bruce Lee, I'm not sure if I will get Figuarts Bruce Lee. Maybe if he goes up on sale on Amazon then I might consider buying it.

I know a few martial arts enthusiasts who will be all over this figure...it is much more universal than the Music figures that is for sure...plus now you can have him in your Avengers line up!

It's probably been done to tie in with his 75th birthday. Also it's a figure of Bruce Lee, even if you don't personally want it, there's a pretty decent chance it might sell well considering it's Bruce Lee. Also its a much much more affordable alternative to hot toys stuff.

Figure companies have been doing a lot of weird of out left field stuff recently. I was listening to an episode of Dan's Toku Rants and it was either Figuarts or Figma were doing statues like the thinker. Just bizarre stuff they've been doing as of late.

Yeah, figma's doing a thinker figure. They're also coming out with a "plaster" white recolor of it. And a Venue de Milo figure with optional arms. Max Factory is weird.

I didn't know you were an authority on what sells and what doesn't. The Billy Herrington figure is pretty expensive now so was obviously popular, and from what I've read there's a pretty big interest in all the statue stuff Figma are doing. As for Egashira 2.50, I have absolutely no idea about Japanese comedy but it was obviously somewhat popular for them to be doing a second release of him.

The stuff may be left field, but GSC hardly complain when "things don't sell well". I'm sure there's an equally huge crowd for Figuarts Bruce Lee too, even if you or I aren't part of it.

So does this mean I'm allowed to declare the figuarts of anime characters as bad ideas and that they should just keep to armored and helmeted characters?
Because I think they should...
