Final Fantasy is probably the most overdesigned, and poorly designed, series I've ever seen.
"Our character is wearing a dress!"
"Not good enough!" *Makes it a dress of fucking belts*
"Our character is wearing pants!"
"Not good enough!" *Makes one pant leg full size, the other cut to knee length*
"Our character has a jacket!"
"NOT GOOD ENOUGH!" *Makes the jacket 20 zippers that connect to nothing for no reason*

Mercifully, real life means they can't have the buttfucking stupid hair styles, but the FF designers are really some of the worst character designers I've ever seen.
And I browse Deviant Art for MLP stuff, so you can imagine some of the shit I've seen.

Then you get monsters that look like crap because Sentai doesn't have the budget for that level of CGI.

Designing monsters on a video game isn't the same as designing a monster that has to be a suit a person can move about in.

Half those things can't be made with foam rubber. And don't even look like Toku monsters.

It kinda has to be.
You can't have a monster that's a giant cathedral with a face for the front doors be made out of practical effects. Especially as a MOTW.

Because of how overly complicated the FF designers are, the monsters would be overly reliant on CG to operate in Toku.
They'd blow their budget before the 15th episode :lol

No. There is no practical reason for either company to cooperate on a project.

Most people seem to be pretty excited about the obvious visual changes and the new team dynamic of nine members to start. Personally, being Sentai, I'm on a "wait and see" program.

I rarely get hyped up for Sentai. I try to remain cautiously optimistic, but even that's hard for me.
The irony being that I tend to gravitate more towards Sentai than Riders these days, anyway.

Yeah, Kyuuranger was great. I think the last third or so failed to live up to the standard set by the AMAZING first two (episode 12's brutal deconstruction of typical MotW plots is one of the best Sentai episodes ever IMHO), but Kyuuranger at its worst is still a million times better than most Super Sentai.

Honestly, when Saban adapted it as Power Rangers Super New Powers, it was a total insult. That show was complete trash.

Anyway, I've never considered low-quality scans of toy catalogs enough to get a solid opinion from. The designs looks fine, but I won't be sure until we have better photos. And as for the show itself, we basically know nothing about it outside of "9 dudes" and "something about space", and given Fourze was hypothetically space-themed this probably won't amount to much. If they can't film in the same dozen locations in Tokyo as always they're not doing the show.

Kinda makes me sad that Zyuohger will be skipped over.

I'd like to see a super mix of various Sentai all fighting in the same location, edited like it's one continuous fight. Rider, too - they've shot at a lot of the same locales since Heisei began.

When do you think Cube Condor will show up for its one time appearance in the show like movie mecha are wont to do?

Honestly, I expected it to be in Wild Tousai Dodeka King's finisher, but it was strangely absent (Or I'm just not catching it)

Just because it's not Gokaiger 2 doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

How is Zyuohger a "bad" anniversary series to begin with?

Gokaiger might have been flashy anniversary series, but Zyuohger hasn't really done any less than Gao or Bouken did ("monsters that look like mecha if you squint a bit" aside). The only big difference is that they had "vs Super Sentai movies", but by the sounds of it Zyuohger vs Ninninger is more than just a standard team vs team movie as well.

There's a possibility of they change the time slot ?

They'll definitely shoot at all the usual locations... but I'm holding out hope for like, alien world overlays/color filters.

I can't wait to see the ole' Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park outdoor stage with a purple sky and two blue suns. :lol

I was gonna mention that one myself. I can't remember it being in Sentai off the top of my head, but I'm sure it's been somewhere.

I remember now. It was for the Jetman ep in Gokaiger. Episode 28.

Yeah, that under bridge is in EVERY Heisei Rider show, pretty much, though the tide isn't always out (like in Ryuki and Gaim). But, yeah, any of those locales with a fight mega-mix. If I can figure out how to edit with Wondershare Video Convertor (an AWESOME program, BTW), I might just do this!

Where's the Cave?

Blade first episode had it, Gaim had ir a couple times to tease the Overlords, it was the Fangire King's torture dungeon in Kiva. What's that cave system?

Oh speaking of which, the ruin looking place they used in Gaim as the Overlords' castle or whatever. What's that place? I don't know about before but it shows up a lot now too (Ghost episode 11 comes to mind).

The nonstop reuse of locations is one of the many things in (Toei's) Toku that you'd think would be stupid but is actually just super endearing. :lol
