I have returned after several months of unintended absence. I lost my job back in October and haven't been able to find another one since. I decided to return to college which is the main reason for my absence. I had been getting things ready since November. I started in January and have been busy ever since. I am just now starting to get caught up and things are finally starting to stablize. Other than that I have been dealing with a lot of drama at church so I decided to take a break from church, might look for a new church. Luckily a couple of my friends have been helping me stay sane during all this.

Congrats on starting college again! I'm glad you're starting to stabilize with the work!

My business didn't have its mail picked up or delivered to the entire week, including several pickup requests made through the USPS website that were erroneously logged as completed.

Here in NY we also just had a major snowstorm so it's kind of expected. But also my local post office has been closing early without notice due to lack of staff.

It's only a bummer when I walk 15 minutes there just to be turned back.

It's not weather related, I'm in Florida and the seller Puerto Rico. The last scan was coming out of San Juan on 2/12, since 2/16 the tracking says "Arriving Late". The seller did his part and sent it out right away.

Not for me, but I did during the Fall and early Winter. It took over a month for my Dawn of the Dead package from Zavvi to show up.

Alright ya lil shits it is time for Story Time With The Great Innocent Angel Spearichu.

Now then chillllllldren Spearichu has two stories for you both involving the same place, a Gamestop near me. Now sit down or else I will chain you to the ground by your ribs.

Now the first story takes place a couple years ago. I bought to games, Dragonball Fusion and Fantasy Life for the 3DS. Now Fantasy Life was a used game not with it's original packaging so they gave it their generic label with the name printed on it. The person put both games into it then.

Now for about two weeks I played the Dragonball Fusion game then at the end of that I decided to play Fantasy Life. So I open the case to find to my surprise a Lego game in there instead. Me growing pissed off on how did they put the wrong game into the case before I notice it. The sticker on the case that had the barcode and price on it was for a Lego game instead.

So the person who put the game into the case either never noticed the label on case and sticker didn't match or didn't care to ask if I knew. I grew piss but my mom and brother were so kind to go back to that store as I had to work and get the right game. Turns out they didn't have the game and checked other stores before they just order a copy online. Now this was an annoying hassle as they let me know and I did thank them for it.

Now when the game arrived I picked it up and the game was in good conditioned , , , , , which is good becase the cased was fucking shattered! Like holy fucking shit it looked like they repeatedly kicked the case from the warehouse or whatever all the way to my house then before dropping it off did the mother fucking jig on it. I was fucking pissed but thankfully the game was intact and a very fun game.

Now for story #2 this takes place last night. So I go into the same Gamestop and decided to get me the Zoids Wild game for the Switch. I looked at the PS4 games for anything. I see the Gundam Versus game that has been there for so long that I keep passing it up and was about to get it when I saw a used New Gundam Breakers for $10. Thinking fuck yeah even if this game sucks at least it is cheap.

So I go up to the register with the two games and the girl there is nice and fun to talk to. Now she scans the Zoids game then turns out it is not in the fucking store. I am thinking what the fuck why is the display case even out then? She said I could check the other store a few minutes away but it is getting late. She even checked the eshop on her switch see if I should get a digital copy which turns out to be more expensive there. So she then orders me a pre-owned copy from Gamestop online. I was getting annoyed but at least I got the game on the way.

Now she scans the Gundam Breakers game and starts looking for the disk. GUESS WHAT! THEY DIDN'T FUCKING HAVE IT!!!. I am laughing and getting pissed off fromt this shit. She did find a different Gundam "Breakers" game and I just said I will get that because fucking damnit at this point I am going home with a damn game for fuck sakes. Again she was really nice and I have no issue with this girl. So on the way to meet up with my mom at Jo Ann's (a craft store) I check the game to find out it was the Gundam Versus game. Which sadly I played today and while it is not bad from the bit I played it sadly is a game that you kinda need the Playstation Online account for because at every second on the menu for it, it kept asking what kind of account I want to pay for.

So yeah the fucking hell. At least I got a mantis Bakugan that looks cool and one of those RX-78 heads they had in the gashapons.

Now we shall play the waiting game to see if I will go on a killing spree or not determining on the condition of that Zoids game on the way.

And this is why I only play mobile games.

Gundam Versus is very barebones especially if you're not an online player. Maxiboost ON is better in that it does have single player content. But alas, the core idea of the game is that it's meant to be played online.

So I woke up to the news that Daft Punk split. WTF? Has there been a reason given? Please say nobody died.

Hello friends! I am here still. I've been doing alright. My comp sci course is going alright. I've got some paper work I need to finish up. I've been procrastinating hard on starting Animal Crossing New Horizons (I still have those gift cards I mentioned back in December). I caught up to Ep 22 of saber the other day, it was really enjoyable I'd say.

Just found out from a vendor that our allocation for an upcoming Pokemon TCG product is zero, as in You Ordered It On Time But Now You Are Getting Zero. Definitely didn't plan on selling those to people and using the profits to keep a business going! (I mean, it's not a ton of money we're not going to be making now, we aren't a Pokemon store, but it still burns.)

Other than that, not too bad! Den-O's a fun show to watch, got a ton of stuff over the last month that I'm slowly making my way through (Figuarts, Mastermind Creations robots, Gaim SO-DO 2), and the snow is finally starting to melt today. Not too bad!

As for life, I sure am mentally somewhere around September 2020 at this point. Wonder if this new Kamen Rider Saber show is gonna be any good? (Note - I'm like weeks behind on Saber, uni work is hard)

look i didn't want to make this a whole thing about how great their new chromedome/rewind figures were BUT FINE WE'LL DO IT YOUR WAY

Finally got the new Chromedome/Rewind two-pack via BBTS (the store that always gets MMC bots last), and it's highly recommended. (Also got their Helex from the DJD, but the review for him is The Last DJD Guy I Needed, at which he is 100% of that criteria.)

The engineering on Chromedome is incredibly smart, where the conversion process is intuitive and rewarding. Everything clicks into and out of place, providing a tactile reassurance that you are doing things correctly. There's enough steps to make it something you focus on, while never being cumbersome enough to need a break in the middle. It's a nice snack of a diversion, and my favorite toy of theirs since Rodimus.

It's a crazy articulated figure, as well, if you're more into having a nicely expressive robot for display purposes. He actually comes with molded hands to hold with Rewind, which is all you should need to know about how aware MMC was of the need to get the Robot Husbands set right. (There're also an alternate head for Domey, mnemosurgeon hands, and other types of hands that aren't strictly about his love or pain)

The Rewind figure is fine. He feels like a glorified (but crucial) accessory for Chromedome, where the transformation and alt mode have a shrug of Did He Ever Even Transform In The Comic. It's an okay conversion, but definitely nowhere near the ease and brilliance of the Chromedome one.

No comment yet. If it was internal feuding I don't think that epilogue video would have been made, so my guess for now is they are just done with the gig after 28 years. Hopefully they continue making music and if not that's still cool, even if they move on to other things at least they have bragging rights to a dope music career.

Anyway, I've been continuing to adjust to digital art, as I've been doing for a while now. It's hard enough that I've drawn with pencils and paper for years, and now I have so many features to experiment on that it's hard to find a comfortable way of drawing, not to mention my other obligations in life. At least I'm no longer snowed in, and I'm making my way through Final Fantasy XV and XIV, though I should really get back to VIII and Hollow Knight, and for gosh sakes get around to playing Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories (Which has been sitting here for months.) At least I'm caught up with my shows and finishing up a few I've had on my watch list before continuing on my binge of One Piece.

That sucks about the cards. I've heard it's been really hard for lots of stores to get releases of the latest pokemon cards. I overheard talk about it at my FLGS

Also how are the new figures? Anything stand out? (aside from MMC Chromedome/Rewind)

The card thing is a bummer, but it's par for the course with Pokemon preorders nowadays.

Figures... there's nothing I've really disliked that I've opened recently. On the high end, I can't stop staring at how gorgeous the Lazer Turbo Lvl 0 and Poppy Figuarts are for Ex-Aid. Just so goddamn shiny and pretty. Those suits are what's in my heart when it comes to Kamen Rider, that whole Ex-Aid aesthetic, and the finish on those two figures is stunning.

How many figuarts are you up to? Could we get some pics of your collection?

It's 20 now, I think. There're a few I haven't opened yet (trying to savor them), but I'll probably do a post in the Feb 2021 Recent Purchases thread on the weekend. Thanks for asking!
