As someone who was likewise pretty unimpressed by the premiere, let me assure you, it gets better quickly. And then it gets EVEN better after that.

Man, I really need to get back to Carranger. It's been what, nearly a month now? That's way too long...

I'm glad to hear it gets better, because I've put off watching the 2nd episode 3 times today just because the intro gave me a headache :lol

And yeah, Geki's pilot isn't the best. It is better than most other pilots, though. But in relation to the rest of the show, it's not the best start. Jan's lack of understanding Japanese (As well as poor speaking skills) may get annoying, the Sha-Fu/Xiafu/however you spell it is kind of forceful and throws him on the team, and everything else is just average.

Jan has a reason for the way he is though. He lived in a jungle for most of his life. I can easily get by on that compared to the other boneheaded idiots like Ban, Kai, and whatever the doofus from Goseiger's name was.

Carranger is one of the greatest Senati shows of all time. It also has what is probably the most satisfying conclusion of the entire series. Not to mention it pulls off drama better than most of the dramatic shows. I think Carranger might have maybe 3-5 weak episodes in total. The worst is an episode about ugly as **** suit jackets.

I know Jan's reason is justified. I actually like it.
I just know a lot of people bitch and moan over his use of onomatopoeia and made up phrases.

I'm doing my first rewatch of a Sentai with Battle Fever J since there is better video quality.

Battle Fever J 1-3: So far I am loving the hell out of it again. The characters are wonderful. Well mainly Battle Japan, France, Kenya, and Cossack are sticking out to be in the beginning. Really loved the episode where Japan acts like he betrays the team to find out about Egos. Cossack showed great emotion there and Kenya's loyalty was great. France had great moments in the second episode going undercover. So far I am remembering what I really enjoyed about this show.

I agree with that you think it's one of the greatest of all time, I blitzed it last year and I had so much fun with it, it's top 5 for me possibly even top 3, the characters are just so much fun on both sides.

As for what I am watching at the moment I am slowly trudging along through Bioman, I do enjoy it but I think I'm suffering from a bit of toku burn out at the moment, I've enjoyed other 80s sentai more like Changeman, Flashman and Maskman.

I'm currently watching Sun Vulcan again.

I just finish watching some Sentai Vs movies.

Abaranger vs Dekaranger it was a very boring movie to me didn't like it.

Magiranger vs Dekaranger this was a cool movie I like it. It had a lot more plot focus in this movie for the two teams. Overall I enjoy the bricking between the two reds.

On the talk of carranger I just could not find anything serious with that Sentai and it did nothing for me. Just way to much comedy IMO.

That was pretty much the point of Carranger. It was a parody of sentai mostly. I will admit it isn't for everyone.

Frankly, I think 90% of the versus movies are crap. The fanservice of getting to see your favorite team is about the only thing they have going for them.
