Finished episode 3 (Gonna give my thoughts on it along when I watch 4), but I noticed that every time they refer to themselves, they say the full title of "Gekisou Sentai Carranger."
So far, only the director and his family actually say only "Carranger." |
Carranger 3&4
That was something. Red Racer feels like they don't need 5 rangers to fight, so he ditches the team. After they start getting beaten, he has a change of heart and rejoins the others and fights proper. Yeah, there wasn't really much to this one. Four isn't much, either. One of the monsters gorges himself on food and ends up growing gigantic. He then beats the Carrangers but soon shrinks down. The rangers learn that the constellations match their dream cars, so they wish for their dream cars to become a giant robot or fucking something. I'm not going to lie. The dialogue here was so damn confusing that I just rolled with it. In a funny twist, after kidnapping the director's son to get more food, the monster they feed it to shrinks down. Loved it~ |
That sounds more like episodes 4 and 5 rather than 2 and 3.

Finish watching Gekiranger all of the episodes wow what a really cool sentai. I like how the team got their super power up from special test. The show had so many cool fighting scenes like when Jan beat Rio and save cat. The show had badass design villains I like Maku and Kata along with the new forms of Rio and Mele. This sentai had a pretty different plot from other sentai that was interesting. Long who was behind the whole Jan and Rio family being killed was something I did not see coming. Really well written it was crazy that Gekiranger could not defeat long because he could not die and he kept coming back. I like how Rio told them the secret to beating long was to seal him away. This secret was know by the Kenma villains which was neat at the end. I glad I watch this sentai it was a lot of fun. It not one of my favorites but it good like other sentai that have cool villains and plots overall a 7 out of 10 is how I would rate Gekiranger.
The next sentai I gonna watch is Go-onger lets see how that sentai is. |
Jan's story, how it unfolds, is one if the best in the show's history, in my opinion.

Gekiranger is one of the best. I also love that they remembered to actually develop the villains.

Gekiranger is a brilliant series and my all time favorite Sentai. It's always nice to see someone else enjoy it!

Caught up on Zyuohger and it actually was a lot of fun. Some episodes were still kinda: Okay, don't care too much- because the Zyuohger aren't quite my favorite team to watch, but I must say, when the show picks up speed, it sure goes all out.
I really enjoyed the episodes focusing on Yamato's relationship with the Zyuman and Misao is actually getting less annoying to watch these days (They just overdid it with the "I'm not qualified to blah" imho). I also liked what they did with the enemies up until now, hope they won't just stop with Azald. |
Why hasn't Gorenger had the same level of exposure that Kamen Rider 1 has had?
Like, it's not like Sentai isn't as big of a brand as Kamen Rider. So why, during their various 5 year anniversaries, hasn't Gorenger made a big impact/comeback like Ichigou has made? I know 1 actor is deceased and it's harder to assemble 4 other aging actors, but when OOO brought back 1 and 2, they kept them in suit for the entire movie, so that could be viable... |
