Crunchyroll put episode 3 of Gaia up sometime recently, so I'm resuming watching that. I'm honestly a bit iffy on Gamu as a protagonist so far - he really does come off as pretty immature - but the scene with him diving out of the carrier jet and transforming into Gaia was freakin' badass. We also got our first look at Agul and I'm curious to see what happens next.
On a somewhat random side note, I have a question for any of you who know Japanese culture better than I do (which is admittedly not a high bar to clear): What's up with all the hangar prep and vehicle launching dialogue being in English? I've seen this in multiple Ultra series now and I'm getting curious as to why it's a thing. Is there a cultural reason or is it just something to play up the idea that these various defense forces are multinational organizations? |
This isn't Ultraman related, but if you watch over the footage of Crunchyroll's stream of Katsucon, you'll see me a few times. Including when I hold up a business card for my Facebook page.

Someone made a pretty cool Lego model of the manga Ultraman:

Finally finished Ultraman X last night, watching the last 3 episodes in one go. Really enjoyed it. The Nexus episode has made me think that Nexus will be my next Ultra show to watch.
