Clock On The Corner

Nobody freak or anything but I had watched a lot of subbed episodes of the Toei Ranger shows and here's the reason for the clock.

It started in 1997 and it was used to make sure the kids don't run late for school or church. At some point after that it became a regular thing. (Started with Galaxy Man)

Another Ranger forum had posted about this.

This is one reason I watch the Toei Ranger episodes on Shout Factory DVD. No over the air clock.

It was an alarm clock of sorts.

To quote Homer Simpson - "Doh!"

On Shout Factory DVD the sponsor bumpers are removed. Another reason to favor Shout Factory disks. On them it's just the episodes without the sponsor bumpers. Shows effected by this change are 5 Man - Deka. (Shout Factory DVD)

However I have seen a few Brazil disks that have textless and voiceless bumpers at the start and end.

I always wondered what that clock was for.

Not me, but someone on Reddit pointed out that you can see ToQ-Oh's suit actor's eyes in the gattai sequence.

Hint: look above the robot's eyes.

EDIT: This image has made me realise that Toq-Oh's foreheard decoration is one of those grab handle thingies that you find on trains.

Ha! I always love that kind of thing.

That's a clever place for the eyes as those are actually empty spots on the DX Toy where the doors hinge into.

The train grab handle is a cool detail! I never noticed it either.

Drunk Rangers

I was watching 5 Man today and figured out why Dai stayed with MMPR
and didn't use the outfits but kept MMPR. (MMPR II)

This had come up about adapting for MMPR II.

Yellow Ranger's drunk fighting style. This had happened
to Remi in 5 Man. Also Umiko in Deka. Not sure if Umiko
did any drunk fighting.

Remi had drunk Saki tainted water and then wine. (5 Man 04 - Get The Earth Drunk)
Umiko got caught (Deka 17 - Twin Cam Angel)

Were there any other Rangers who used drunk fighting
styles out of curiosity?

Geki Blue for one episode.

Power Rangers will have two firsts

The first full time Lady Red Ranger and 3 full
time Lady Rangers.

Lauren and her Toei counterpart were both Lady Red but
not for long.

Most of the time we've had two girl Rangers full time in Power
Rangers but Toei has had plenty with only one girl
Ranger.

Hasbro has pulled off a double first with this move.

There have been extra girl Rangers but only for a few
episodes (White Racer for one)

Go On and RPM stayed within the two girl Ranger
limit.

While Izzy is the first Lady Green Ranger in Power Rangers
Sena from Kira Mage is the 2nd Lady Green with the first
full time being Hammie from Kyu Ranger.

Okay, this is pretty clever and makes me love Saber even more.

The lines on the suit is clearly meant to evoke book pages, but only realised today that it makes the sword running down the chest the 'book spine'. That's pretty clever!

The Gashacon Bugvisor II has the letter A and B in horizontal position.

Thus the middle part of the letter will form "play" logo for A and "pause" logo for B.

They should made Cronus use 'B' to pause and 'A' to resume.

Despite being weak and squishy, according to Kamen Rider Blade, humanity is actually the strongest kaijin of them all.
