If handshakes do go away, I think Kamen Rider fans will be in the best position to let people know that we respect them and that things are going to be okay:
https://challengerscomics.com/images...ga/kuuga40.png I mean, that, or we all start doing elaborate, personalized Henshins. I'd be good with either one. |
No offense, but even the handshakes go away, infections could happen in different ways.

So recently I've been playing through Megaman Zero/ZX collection; and in Zero 1/2 there's a boss based on a Kabuto who's red, and a boss based on a Kuwagata who's blue.
This ended up bringing to mind both Kabuto/Gatack and the Gouraigers, so I gotta ask: is there some sort of trope or thing in Japan to do with the combination of a red kabuto and a blue kuwagata? It seems to come up a lot. |
Quote:
"The name comes from traditional Japanese folklore where Oni (think troll/ogre) usually came in two flavors, a Red and a Blue. Over time, it's gotten popular to ascribe different qualities and personalities to the two colors." As well as: "However, within Japanese media, two particular insects stand out: the Kabutomushi (Japanese rhinoceros beetle, though often romanized by the Japanese as simply "beetle") and Kuwagatamushi (stag beetle). Often, when something inspired by one of the two appears in some sort of media, the other is either with them, or not too far behind. Another common element is for the two beetle-inspired elements to be of contrasting colors, and there is often a Red Oni, Blue Oni relationship between the two." So it's just nice easy cultural shorthand, I guess. *Yes I'm using tvtropes, so sue me. |
