I saw X-Men: Apocalypse and I did enjoy it. However I do admit that it has flaws. The X-Men timeline is so confusing now thanks to the time travel in the last movie. I know X-Men 3 and Wolverine Origins is no longer canon, but I do wonder if Wolverine still happens or not? Wolverine had a flash back of Jean Grey from X3, but she is still alive in the last movie.

Which makes me wonder if the next Wolverine movie will follow The Wolverine or ignore it?

Supposedly the next (and "final") Wolverine film will be set in the far future, based on the "Old Man Logan" story.

Lot of fans are speculating the film will be used to bring in Laura (X-23) as Hugh Jackmans' official replacement, since this is his last outing.

X-Men Apocanotlypse - Man, what a terrible night for a bad movie. :-( For a movie that was titled after the character Apocaylpse I was expecting to see said character. Instead, we got some lackluster Ivan Ooze-looking wannabe that never even felt like Apocalypse once in the entire movie. He was weak and pathetic. Now if you were a fan of Not-Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, you should have no proble liking Not-Apocalypse. Hell, he is never even called that once. The rest of the movie itself was mediocre as well. Sansa Stark was terrible because I never saw Jean, I saw a little spoiled brat I wanted to smack some sense into. Also, I see why they picked someone like Olivia Munn for Psylocke as they didn't need anyone to act just to groan. Then we have Mystique, who gets very frustrating. Her and a group of mutants are trapped in a room that nullifies their powers EXCEPT hers. She was still able to transform back into Jennifer Lawrence despite this. WTF? Also, there was no character development at all for Archangel and Storm, making them still completely pointless to the movie universe(s). The best things include Magneto and a really awesome sequence with Quick-Silver. As a whole, this movie was mess and was just slightly better than X3. Unless you need to see this in theaters, rent it. It gets a 6/10.

It looks like June 16 is the date AoS season 3 will be available on Netflix's US site, if anyone is interested.

XAP was better than X3 in my opinion. X3 was just as bad as Batman Forever and Blade 3. I personally hated it 100X more when I give it a second viewing. I still find X-Men Origins to be the worst in the series.

I wouldn't argue that. I love DoFP and the second movie, but First Class is like THE X-Men film.

Tragedy DOFP unceremoniously killed off like, a third of the crew while marginalizing the remainder...

Eh, I still really like the first two. Moreso than First Class if I'm perfectly honest.

I'm late to the party, but I'm pretty sure the Steve Rogers twist is the sentient Cosmic Cube's fault. If that thing was responsible for his rejuvenation, than the cost may very well have been that it altered his past as a result.

But I'm only saying that because All-New Captain America kinda did something similar with Sam Wilson's "Snap Wilson" origin.

I saw Civil War today. Fantastic movie. I would type more but my left thumb hurts.

So I saw X-men Apocalypse yesterday. I liked it. But for all the buildup they have for Apocalypse, it doesn't feel like any of the new lore is gamechanging for the X-men universe. It just is all wrapped up in this movie. Also, the CGI kinda sucks in certain spots in the movie. The scene where Scott shoots the tree is probably the worst CGI I've seen from a major hollywood movie in a long time. I hear the post credits scene has hints at clones and stuff, but I don't trust this will be gamechanging either. Unless it expands out to the other X-men movies like Deadpool 2 or Gambit, then I'll care.


Man, that Quicksilver scene rescuing everyone from the mansion was fantastic, even if it's not totally unique like DOFP was. Can we just have a Quick Silver solo movie? Show how he found out about his powers, how he got into video games, what the hell he was doing the 10 years in between Days of Future Past and Apocalypse, how he deals with going out in public, and a villain for him to fight in the current X-men present?

Haven't watched the trailers, but it seems odd to have trailers for a series that is like what, a year away? I mean, Nov is Luke Cage, March will be Iron Fist, and Nov of next year will be Defenders, right?

Defenders was just a teaser with no footage, so I don't think it's filming yet.

Considering it's Robbie, I'm not too broken up about it. Concerning the budget, the flames spew from one central point on his head like a horn, so CG effects won't be too costly for him.

Color me interested. I can somewhat understand why (Most recent character to don the name...Despite the others still being active), but I think he's the least popular iteration of the character...

I wonder if there are plans for the others and this was the only version of the character available to them.

Yeah I was reading some stuff online, some people complaining about how he's not a real or proper Ghost Rider because he drives a car instead of a bike and had his own different origin story.

Well, while he is a Ghost Rider, he is really different from the others, gaining his powers from his uncle and not technically being a spirit of Vengeance.
I actually don't dislike him, I just prefer Blaze and Ketch.
