Haha, it's very hard to resist the pull. Now that I have a couple of them myself I find that I want more and more. My girlfriend wants the Kiva one. I wouldn't mind a few more from Gaim and a couple others for the rest of my figuarts and another rider or two I really like (thank God we don't have a Zolda one, and I don't think we've seen a Hibiki one yet).

Definitely displaying Bravo with his too.

Be real fun with the Arms Change line since it adds another way to shake up the display possibilities.

Never given into the RP stuff before, but because the locks are big chunks of plastic, they have a lot more design options than stuff like the switches and memories and stuff. They stand pretty well on their own as display pieces.

We really are a tortured group of fans.

There is a Hibiki Lock Seed. It's one of the candy toy line. In fact, all the main heisei Riders have Lock seeds now.

I'm trying to get them all, but the candy toy ones (Kuuga, Agito, Faiz, Hibiki and Den-O) seem to be a lot harder to find.

Damn...now I want the Hibiki one hahaha.

Know I'm a newbie when it comes to the henshin source material, but anyone worried we might see sentai lock seeds? I mean, aren't there Rider Ranger Keys? Just saying. Heh

Since I don't have anything Gaim coming in anytime soon (waiting for back-ordered lockseeds from HLJ and AC Duke!) I decided to make my own cardboard "shadowbox". Lucky for me I had just enough lock seeds and a right sized box to fit everything! This is also everything I have from Gaim. Still thinking about getting Musou Sabre, Genesis Driver and Sonic Arrow. May or may not get them depending on how I feel in terms of space. haha

Ah, I can never remember what's coming out when. But if the old one looks that good, why does it need a renewal?

Honestly if you look at pictures of both side-by-side, the renewal looks miles better.

One of the main problems with the original Kabuto mold was that it was kinda thin. The renewal corrected that and updated the look to make it more screen-accurate.

Honestly, while that's a good picture, it REALLY highlights the weaknesses of the old figure, namely it's thin-ness, lack of proper finishes, the general "good but not incredible" sculpting. It generally looks more like a robot than a guy in an armoured suit.

I still think it looks fine, and while the renewal is a very effective revamp, I don't feel like Kabuto needed the revamp. The differences aren't as dramatic as, say, Black.

Agreed. Black was one that NEEDED a revamp. The old figuart is just a mess and doesn't even resemble him. Kabuto even with the thinness and bow leggedness though actually looked like Kabuto. So I will agree, Kabuto didn't really need it (still getting it though).

The renewal comes out on the 29th of this month for Japan and I'm guessing the 30th of the month or beginning of May for North America/UK & Europe so that SHF Kabuto is the original one.

Is Shining Agito better than Burning? I heard Burning had a lot of problems. But Shining looks so incredible.

It apparently has the same issues from what most of the people that have it are saying, I guess it's cause like with any figure, the quality of how well the figure will handle delivery is hit or miss, it's like that with anything really.

My Shining has zero issues. In fact, everyone I know who has one (anecdotal evidence, I know) has had no problem with it. I don't think OtoyaKurenai mentioned any issues with his, either.

I haven't heard any complaints, personally.

Shinning form is definitely better than burning form. I have no problems with it, I can move the shoulders without scratching the shoulder pads, the shoulder joints are smooth and it doesn't feel like it putting any stress on the ball joint while turning it. I only have a few minor paint issues on the head but I think it just mine.

They have creams to help with that. But I'd see a doctor first. :p

How about the wrists? Feel sturdy?

Many of the newer (Rider anyway, don't do Sentai except cool villains) Figuarts, like the last year or so, have all had much thicker wrist pegs than previous ones. Stuff like Abyss, Alt. Zero, Blade King and Burning, you can definitely tell that they're nice and sturdy compared to older ones.

It's just a shame they're switching to crappy Figma-style hands with Kabuto and at least Gaim and Baron. If anything they should have done SAS-style.

Whereas everyone else was utterly turned off Baron in the latest episode of Gaim, I found myself with a fresh love for him. So I cracked out the ACs and gave him some love.
