Any recent titles y'all like from DC these days? I am curious as to what books from DC are being read by the folks here.

You NEED to read Dark Nights: Metal by Scott Snyder. And it's prequel one shots, Dark Days: The Forge and Dark Days: The Casting. It's a sequel in a way to the Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo run of Batman during the New 52. There only one issue out so far for Dark Nights: Metal. There will be 5 more issues. This is a must read. So many characters that we haven't see in a long time. A basic synopsis is it explores the history of Nth Metal and it's connection to a Dark Multiverse of Batmen. There will be 7 one shots for each evil Batman. One based on each JL member.

The current run of Batman, Superman, Teen Titans, Nightwing, Flash, and Super Sons are also really good.

I'm reading nothing. DC has lost me again as Rebirth only put a bandaid on their writing issues for a few months.

DC Metal is nothing more than another stupid gimmick that is going to change the universe just for that to get undone again next year when Doomsday Clock finishes.

Honestly? Most of rebirth has been great in my opinion, though I've particularly been liking Detective Comics and Action Comics. Admittedly, I'm a bit behind, but hey.

I've been enjoying Birds of Prey just because it has the main three back again. I mean I'd rather Oracle than Batgirl, but it's still far far better than the New 52 BoP ever was.

I tend to have difficulty buying DC stuff, but I'm considering getting Rebirth Deathstroke after my ex recommended it to me

Yeah, but they are now falling back into these big crossover events.

Although, some of the Rebirth comics lost me by the 6th issue since their stories were going no where. Justice League for me was probably the worst of the books I read though.

Action and Detective were great, but then they starting having crossover events with other books happen that killed my interest.

There are a couple I am considering on buying the Deluxe Editions to, but DC right now is just really pissing me off between terrible movies, terrible cartoons, canceling the Icons toy line, etc.

New Super-Man is an amazing book, just by the way.

Yep I stopped recently only because I was busy with life and I was not sure what to read after the button. But I loved what I read. I am gonna give metal a go and also check issues with Signal, Batman's new pupil. Waiting for that Superman vs a certain doctor still.

I feel that. I had to drop Supergirl, which is a shame because it's a really good book.

DiCaprio is not a good choice for Joker. Not because he will be bad, but if they are really doing an origin story, they have to go with someone in his late 20s.

And this is what happens when you try to rush world building. Seriously, DCEU feels like a house that is being built but with no sturdy foundation. Might as well make a mansion out of cookies and toothpicks. And they JUST were starting to head towards the right direction but sadly the recent news only solidifies for me that they never had glimpse of certainty of their own product and don't know what to do. At this point they might as well just restart from scratch instead of further bleeding resources left and right. Again, Mr. Heston?

I wonder who will be in the DLC 3 pack for Injustice 2? I hope we will get The Atom and Enchantress next. We will probably get one more guest fighter. I think someone from a WB movie since it would be cheaper like Neo from The Matrix or Max Rockatansky from Mad Max.

As long as we get the Atom I'm good. If there's one more guest character then I'd want it to be Spawn. We'll probably get Enchantress also. If we do then Zatanna better be a skin for her.

I don't want Spawn in Injustice 2 at all. Spawn should be save for MK11 because he would fit better with MK due to the M rating. They had Spawn in a T rated fighting game before and it felt off to me.

Hellboy is a dark and violent character too, but I feel like his personality would work better for Injustice 2. Neo in Injustice 2 would be kinda cool since he would have some cool moves with the bullet timing effect.

So I finally got around to watching Wonder Woman, and it really is a good movie, though it did feel a little bit long.

I just watched it yesterday. Definitely was long but it was good. It gives me hope for the DCEU.

Wonder Woman was one of the best films this year for sure. I still am optimistic about Justice League as well, but hearing Warner being hesitant and showing signs of uncertainty of their own product and their overall vision again these days it worries me for the Post-JL films. Just goes to show what happens when you try to rush things. Oh yeah and Lego Batman was awesome too. Will Arnett crushed it. :rock:

Yeah, I'm hopeful for Justice Leauge too especially with Zack Snyder's role in that being reduced to a consultant.

Eh, we traded in Zack Snyder for Joss Whedon, not that big of an improvement if you ask me.

Frankly, the DCEU is done and good riddance.

This movie looks so good. I was really hoping to find out who Alfred was talking to at the end. I guess we got to wait until next month.

It's obviously Superman. Who else would it be? He's the only one in the movie who's not in the trailers.

Most likely. A few folks do seem to like the idea that it could be one of the lanterns specifically either Hal or John.

I've been watching too many speculation videos on YouTube so I'm really hopeful that it could be Green Lantern.

Oh my god, what the fuck did they do with Kara? They turned her into a god damned mopey emo. ZACK SNYDER, GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY TV SUPERGIRL!!!!!! If this is some new direction they are going with, CW and DC can shove this show up their asses!!!

Bloodsport was lame as hell and seriously, Morgan Edge? Out of all of the corrupt business men villains in the DC universe they went with him? Why not just bring Lord back? Where has he been? Oh, and whoever said Cat was going to back full time was full of shit. When you say full time, you mean she is going to be in the episodes as a regular character. Having her on a TV screen does NOT qualify as full time. Lastly, why am I not surprised they had to throw in more unncesssary drama between Maggie and Alex? Can we just get through ONE episode WITHOUT it? Just let them be in a freaking relationship!!!

Thankfully, the episode wasn't a total waste. There were some funny bits like when Alex told Jonn not to cry and Cat's great speech about what the country would be like with a worthless president. Too bad we don't live on their Earth. Oh, and I did like when Kara left Edge on those freighters.

Overall, I was not impressed with the premier. It was weaker than last year's premier and the emo Kara is unacceptable. Hopefully this shit was a one episode only persona and we get the real Supergirl back next week.

Sounds like every CW superhero show to me.

Smallvile,Arrow,Flash etc all have emo protagonists and melodramatic plots, it's how they reel in the tween girl crowd.

Only Flash's third season was like that. The first two were great. Supergirl was fine for her first two season as well.

All right, so the season premier to Flash showed some good signs that they listened to people's complaints with last season. I like how they didn't waste any time bringing Barry back and while it doesn't make sense for him to just lose his psychosis, I'm going to overlook it since we got the real Flash back. No more mopey, emo, depressed Barry!! YES!!!

Did anyone catch the name the one eyed dude said to Kaitlyn at the end? I couldn't understand what he said.

Anyway, I like that we got our first glimpse at the Thinker. I just hope the writers know they don't have to have every episode of the season advance the plot and give us some nice stand alone episodes. Well, let's see what the future brings and hope the show stays in this tone.

As for legends, the premier was kind of meh. I hate how they solved the cliff hanger problem all in the span of 30 seconds. That was quite lame.

The rest of the episode did have some good jokes here or there, but ultimately, these characters are boring. It's time to drop a few of them and get new ones. I honestly don't know what else this show can do that they didn't already do in its first two seasons. I guess we'll see, but I'm not sure I'm going to stick around the whole season if something drastic doesn't happen by the crossover.

My review for the Flash and LoT season premiere:
The Flash season premiere was really good. I loved how Wally and Cisco were working as partners when Barry was gone. Barry's return was great. It was interesting how he went psycho in the speed force and started writing speedster hieroglyphics all over the place. The Thinker looks amazing. I really had doubts about how he was going to look but his design is amazing. Also Barry's new suit is the best suit in the entire Arrowverse.

LoT was a lot better than expected. I thought it would boring based off of the previews. The Legends just clean up time. I like Rip's Time Bureau and how the team was split up. I love how Nate and Wally work together on occasion. Wally needs to join the legends to so we can open some space for Bart Allen in the future. Plus the Legends just need a speedster in general. I have a good feeling about this season. We have a lot of good characters coming: Constantine, B'Wana Beast and Cap Cold and Darhk will return.

B'Wana Beast is going to be in the show? Oh god, the villains must be shaking in their boots. Yep, they are all in trouble now. :lol :lolol

Was rather confused by Thinker's appearance initially, because I knew it was supposed to be him, but all I thought was "Metron".

Don't feel as invested as I once was in the CW DC shows. But the Legends premiere was good fun and I'm looking forward to more of that.
