The early Showa stuff could get pretty gory. It wasn't that graphic, due to the special effects limitations, but you still get a lot of bodies being dissolved and the occasional beheading.

Yeah, Amazon fights like a wild animal, brutally biting and tearing apart his enemies limb by limb. Which fits with his character being left alone to survive in a jungle for his entire life.

I only wish it was longer, because I know when I get to the end of it I'm gonna be wanting more.

Decided to watch Wizard from the start, because I series hop alot, and the first scenes of the first episode has already made the arguement of "His Henshin ruins drama!" void. He transformed without Shabadoobie in one of the first scenes. He just slapped the driver, Connect Please, and he was Wizard. No reason they can't do that again during emotional drama.

I liked Rinko, and Haruto. Even their shameless flirting through the jailhouse bars :lol Though why Har didn't leave with Unicorn through the hole that Uni made to get to him in the first place is beyond me.. But thats nitpicking.

Blade 14. Damn Sayoko died. And I found her cute. And she was good to Tachibana too. Damn that Isaka. Oh well at least Hirose's still there.But damn Sayoko a casualty for character development.

Blade 15. Finally Tachibana has manned up. He finally stopped being a wuss. So Isaka was a Jack type? Hmm... I wonder how a Queen or a King type will be like? And next episode will have Leangle. I think I'm gonna like him from what little I have seen of him already.

Watched Episode 2 of Wizard, and I really think Hellhound needs a Figuart. Wouldn't take much. The helmet really reminds me of Rio's, which might why I like it so much. Rio = Epic. And I do love a villian with his own Motorcycle. Don't know what to make of that kid yet though.. Mister Mage-Obsession who's name escapes my sleep-deprived mind. He acts like Gai, but Gai had enough charm to make me love his crazyass from the word go.

His name is Shunpei, the worst-dressed character in the history of Kamen Rider. It took me a long time to learn to tolerate him and even now I wouldn't mind if he just disappeared forever.

Wizard isn't a bad show, in fact I think it's been getting steadily better since Kousuke showed up. The Phoenix arc was good and the last storyline with Medusa was great. And while Shunpei may never stop being an annoying dick, he does at least start toning it down (and occasionally he actually manages to be funny).

In any case, it's way the hell better than Faiz, which is probably the overall weakest Rider series (unless you really, really love melodrama).

Yeah, Faiz is the better of the two. At least Faiz's characters are more than one dimensional.

Can't agree with you there. Faiz characters may not be one dimensional but they are ridiculously uncommunicative when it comes to plot.

I think Den-O's better than both, especially now that Revolutionary has encountered this mysterious purple spirit that's been dwelling inside him. Kind of reminds my of the purple core medals from OOOs. Weird homage or just happenstance? Also I guess the sword form armour has always just had that purple stuff under the chest. Afterall the belt just happened to have the same coloured buttons as all the spirits that happen to posess him.

I was thinking about that last night. It bothered me when I watched the show, and it still bothers me. I think those buttons should have been grey until he formed the contacts with the Imagins, then they could take on the correct colors. Just like Plat Form.

But then that leads to the issue that the toy would have 4 multicolored buttons while the belt on TV would have 1 red button and 3 grey buttons for like, 4 weeks (Ura appears in ep 4, right?), that's not even accounting for the other 2...

It would've been cooler if the imagin's colours were determined by the belt. Since having the buttons match his form colours makes sense, and Imagin start off as grey sand people. It would've made more sense if the Imagin's appearences were decided by the belt. That way they only became part of it when they were attached to whatever form. Afterall, the forms are all built into the armour, so it was always going to have red, blue, yellow and purple forms, and all the Imagin arrived in the order the buttons were on the belt. That makes more sense to me given Den-O's rather grounded approach to form-swapping and the Imagin's mystical properties.

Also is purple guy seriously just named the same as car Ramrod? That's confusing.

EDIT: Oh God that rallying by Red guy, Leonardo and Rhinobear may have been the funniest thing this show has done. These guys are solid gold.

Watched episode 3 of Wizard. I liked it, but damn Shin got over being humiliated in front of the whole nation quick. But I had another thought to. The Phantoms seem to be alot like the Zodiarts. Libra, especially, lured new canidates to use the Zodiart switches to fullfill their dreams. And the Phantoms kind of do the same thing, only for different reasons I guess. Am I wrong?

You started watching Den-O? Man...I've been away from this thread for far too long. How are you liking it so far? Also, I had the same reaction when I heard Guy as the Wolf Imagin.

My eyeballs are spinning.

I think my brain's just at capacity. I don't know why the spelling is my problem. I know the names, I recognise them when their said, I could probably pronounce them if I had to, but the spelling never looks right.

Also it doesn't help that "Urataros" it quite clearly pronounced "Utaros" in the show.

I like it a lot. Red guy (Momotaros) is my favourite, but all the Imagin are funny 'cept for purple dude. (And I'm glad the posse of purple is gone. This show's weird enough without gang grape bouncing around)

The only thing I don't really like are the secondary characters at the diner and how his belt quite clearly had all four colours before getting all four Imagin, but I already gave my idea for how that could have/should have worked.
