"Yo dawg, we heard you liked the flashbacks over the last five years, so we decided we are going to spend the next five seasons showing you what happened over the course of the last five months leading up to Season 6. It's going to be great!!!"
THat's kind of how I felt with this episode. I mean, at least everything wasn't resolved in the span of 45 seconds like it was with Legends, but come the **** on!!! That aside, I did mostly enjoy this episode, but god damn they all most have lost their brains in that explosion. Who would be stupid enough to actually give a criminal a can of pop just because he asked for it? You give criminals water. WATER!!! And even then I probably would have ignored him. Also, boy Oliver's son had a huge growth spurt in the span of five minutes. Honestly though, I'm not sure what else this show can do anymore outside of repeating redundant plotlines they already did. We already had the Oliver revealed as Green Arrow plot, come on already! Well, we'll see I guess. |
I enjoyed the Arrow premiere more so than the Flash myself I dunno, Flash's episode 1 felt like it would've had a bigger pay off if it were dragged out over an entire season rather than rushing it all in one episode.
Legends was pretty fun too. |
I expect the writing to play a bigger part down the line of the season. I'm just glad they gave us the real Flash back so quickly.
|
I'm gonna pass unless Season 4 turns out to be good overall and go back to what made Flash good

Flash: Oh man, I haven't found a super hero show that fun in a few years. I think I laughed in this one as much as I do in a classic Simpsons episode. It was wonderful. This what Season 3 should have been, FUN! I loved every moment of Barry and Iris with the therapist as it was played out so damn well. Barry's reactions to the woman just writing down random stuff was hilarious.
The tech in the suit was great because it showed exactly why it does Flash no good. I laughed my ass off at the Iron Man hand cannons. Although, I will say it gave me a very Batman Beyond vibe. Killgore was an interesting villain. If I recall, he was just an alien computer virus in the comics, but I could be wrong as I think I only read one comic that featured him. The Cisco/Gypsy stuff was also great. Flash is back on track to being the greatest live action comic book show and I love it!!! Legends - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Even the writers know how lame Bwana Beast is. They did absolutely NOTHING with him. Such a waste of Billy Zane's talent in this episode and just another borefest. WHen does Constantine show up? Hopefully it's before the crossover. |
Arrow: A pretty solid episode. I don't like how they have changed Anatole, but I did like his confrontation with GA at the end of the episode. The camera work with the fight choreography was pretty cool despite the constant butt shots used to change the scene.
Oh, and hey, Black Arachnia is back again. :-) On the other hand, god dammit John, just tell him!! The stuff between Curtis and Felicity was great as was the Bruce Wayne comment. Lastly, Oliver telling his son to punch the bullies in the nose was hilarious. |
Another solid Flash episode today that was just down right hilarious. I thought Barry slipping on the marbles was going to be the best part, but god damn was that casino scene uproarious. So damn funny. I''m sorry, but if someone hated this episode too, there's nothing this show could do that would make them enjoy it.
From everything falling to pieces in Joe's house to the funeral/wedding bit, and then of course Harry trying to explain a break up box, it was wonderful. As for the final scene, Joe was just damn. Too funny. I'm kind of glad they are having Wally leave for a bit, but are they going to do anything with him on the other shows? Hell, Legends could probably use him on their team as it would be nice for them to have actual costumed superheroes again. |
This season of Arrow is getting a bit better as it goes along. The action scenes continue to rock as I loved when everyone was jumping into the hotel scene and the fight shot from inside of the car was pretty cool.
I'm honestly surprised Diggle didn't already quit, but I guess we know why now. More is to come out of this. I'm also glad to have Felicity back to the way she was in the first three seasons. This was probably the first time in two years that I actually liked her. On the other hand, this show really needs to get a better composer. The music during the action scenes were so god damn bland that I didn't even realize there was music even in there. In fact, this is something I have been forgetting to bring up every week due to how forgettable the show's score is. How is it that the animated stuff can come up with such great tunes but the live action shows can't? That aside, it would be nice if they would show us who the villain of the season is going to be already. |

Why is it DVD only? They do know this is 2017,r ight?

Well we watched episodes 2 and 3 of Supergirl. The second episode was pretty bad. Not as bad as the premier, but good god was the acting on Psi pretty damn awful. I can excuse the bad acting or Ruby just because she is a child. However, her and her mom are not even remotely interesting. Oh, and how dare Lena Luthor be a boss to Kara! At least Kara realized this by the end of the episode, but come on. Just tell her the truth so she knows why you are gone at random times!
Thankfully, the third episode was better, at least until the end. The stuff dealing with the Martians was pretty good outside of some poor looking CGI and them clearly running out of a budget when they had MM's dad take a human form. On the other hand, the Maggie/Alex stuff was all over the place. Some of it felt legitimate. Some of it felt out of place. Like I totally agree with the stuff Maggie's dad was saying about Mexicans and gays being descriminated upon, but he is such a worthless sack of shit! I wish a boulder would fall on his bus when he was on his way home. Also, the scene at the end between Alex and Maggie was so god damn terrible. It felt like it was Season 2 terrible all over again. We would have watched episode 4, but since my DVR didn't record the first 6 minutes of it I've gotta go and download it. Stupid Comcast!! Also, finally watched last night's episode of Flash and hot damn it was fantastic. This season is even better than the second season and things are just getting started. Where do I start? Loved the stuff with Dan Trejo. I also got a laugh out of Cisco grabbing a machete and HR says something like, "Too much." Oh, and of course the end when we learn Gypsy's name is Cynthia and her dad's is Josh. Lastly, "You have a speedster as an assisstant?" Not surprised the mayor was crooked, but I wish we saw a news report about it happening to make it seem like a big deal. Right now it just seemed like it was meh. The way Joe told Barry about Lucile being pregnant is hilarious, but I don't get the scene with all of the cigars. That was just random. I guess he told them about it by the way they were cheering, but it could have been done more sensible. Ralph was great. I loved the nose twitching at the end and I loved how he got under Barry's skin. The reason behind it makes far more sense than just him getting jealous because Iris is attracted to him like they did in his premier issue. The dude looks just like him too. I think the funniest moment of him acquiring his powers though is Joe barfing. Oh, and Barry just flat out writing, "VILLAINS" on the board was priceless. Surprised we didn't get another teaser scene with Metron... I mean Thinker, but that's cool. We don't need him in every episode. The bit of Barry remember what Abra Cadabra said was just enough. Overall, this season is just nailing the tone perfectly. I don't know if they got new writers, new show runners, or if they just decided to spend the summer reading Silver Age Flash comics, but it is working. I hope we get the real Shade and Mirror Master this season. |

Oh man. That was a total surprise. I bet everyone was expecting it to be Rorschach but the TMNT was outta nowhere. I love it when all the speculations and theories are wrong and it's a complete surprise.
|
I didn't think we would get a TMNT fighter since Ed Boon said no to TMNT, Power Rangers and Goku a while back on Twitter from what I can remember. I'm happy it's not Spawn because Spawn fits better in a M rated video game.
I still need to buy Injustice 2. Probably next year when all of the DLC is release in one set. |

I guess Ed Boon was right that the last DLC fighter is someone that we would not expect to see. Most people didn't believe him because Ed Boon is known to be a major troll at times.

So...... Justice League anyone?*munches popcorn*
|
I thought it was not very good. I feel like it was worth a rental at best.
|
I enjoyed Justice League. It wasnt an all time great film but it was entertaining. I wished they dialled it back a bit with the CGI, especially with Steppenwolf and Cyborg. Flash was definitely different but he was funny in most parts (but it kinda felt forced in parts). Surfer dude Aquaman was alright. I didn't know Cyborg wanted to be Batman with all the brooding he does most of the time. Steppenwolf was a weak villain for the film, he didn't feel especially threatening or challenging, there was nothing interesting about him to like/hate him as a villain/antagonist.
Overall, it was enjoyable but they could've done better. |
Yeah I'm a little mixed on it. Ultimately I would tell people to watch it on Netflix or any other streaming service if it ever appears on it in the future just because there are some nice moments here and there but overall it is a bit of a mess and inconsistent. I had fun but again it was a mess. From a scale of 1 to 10 I give it 6/10.

I've never seen a better Red Hood design.
|
I actually kinda dig Joker's design too. This anime looks like it's gonna be pretty cool actually.
|
Damn. It's CG-anime which I hate but it looks much better than that Godzilla anime at least.
It seems interesting but I wish they would've used a 2D-look... |
That looks so cool. Never knew I wanted to see something so different. Can't wait to see how it goes. Red Hood's helmet. HAHAHHA! Oh god, why did I find that so hilarious!!!. Could you imagine Jason Todd rocking that helmet in Red Hood and the Outlaws, especially in a shootout? Oh, man. Definitely can't wait to see this
|
Well... I’m not a fan of CGI anime but hey this one doesn’t seem to have that uncanny valley look goin on, so i’m Definitely going to be giving it a watch. Plus most of the designs are actually pretty cool

I don't mind CG anime if it's done right. I feel like American CG shows that are not much better looking neither in my opinion. I hope for a decent show though.

Anyways, I just finished the Crisis on Earth X event and this was really solid. It had a tighter narrative that flowed better over the course of the four parts. It felt like they learned from the last year's Invasion and I think it shows. My only complaint is that god awful CGI in some spots but that's about it, really. |
