I'm gonna go into a bit of a rant here as I really need to let this out.

My mom is doing a good job reminding me why I never take Photoshoping favors from her. Seriously it's like taking instructions from someone who doesn't even understand what they're talking about. She is asking me to Photoshop my grandmother's face from a photograph to a 2d vector image. Then again my mom doesn't even understand the difference between 2d and 3d. What's worse the vector image she wants to use.....is facing sideways!! I mean what does she expect me to rotate a photo as if it was a 3d model? I tried explaining her this but she won't listen and just keeps telling me to "twist" the image..And now I'm trying to wrap my brain around how I'm supposed to do this.

Yeah I think it could be that too.


Unrelated to that: I lost an auction this morning for 29 progrise keys, I got pretty close, but got in a small bidding war towards the end (yahoo auction has a thing where if a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes the auction extends by 5 minutes) so I lost eventually.

If you have zits popping up in places like your thighs then it is stress.

Been there with the bidding. Was about to win a Transformer on eBay then during the last ten seconds I was outbided.

Update: I have not slept tonight, this might be a problem.

I know I keep saying this, but is there anything in your lifestyle which might affect your sleeping patterns? You told me you don't stay up too late so maybe the problem lies elsewhere. Have you been drinking coffee? Caffeine can delay the timing of your body clock as, although it's effect would be felt from 3-7 hours, it takes 24 hours to expel the chemical from your body. Or could it be there are disruptive influences in your surrounding environment like loud noises, etc.? Sorry I'm not an expert at this stuff and I hope you get better.

I wish I could trade you some of my sleep. I've been too tired lately to do much of anything.

Speaking of items, I feel a sudden urge to buy the Happy Wonder Ride Book candy toys. Not sure why. Probably not gonna actually buy them though but still, weird urge.

First off, better than Uprising and the Godzilla Anime Trilogy, in both animation (for the most part...) and quality. I'll share more thoughts on this in the Anime thread, but for the most part, I thought it was pretty good, guess it mostly comes down to how much you're into Pacific Rim, Kaiju, Mecha, and/or Anime style shows.

For art, it's been jumping from many things, depends on what I feel like drawing for the most part. Since I've been watching a lot of Anime, playing Final Fantasy, and heavily anticipating Kaiju media, that's where most of my work's been bouncing between, though it's been slow, and it's still a learning curve for me.

Anyway, all's good here, and hopefully things go well, so I'll be able to see Godzilla vs Kong in theaters at the end of the month.

Oh hey, I have a Gekido and just bought a neo-diend driver.
The other stuff I bought were a slashriser, shotriser, raidriser, ark-driver, and the gatling rampage progrise key (also SO-DO slash, and a few things for friends)

Yeah I've gotten urges like that. I really wanted to collect the chrome build bottles when they first came out. I'm glad I didn't though.


It's good to experiment with your art, so jumping around seems like a good diverse set of things to be working on.

I'm just going to share some of my Mandarake experience here and maybe it'll help some of you.

If you're trying to save some money, always ask your store(under the order note) to fit your order into the smallest box possible. Not all stores will bother, but for some stores it's absolutely a lifesaver. I ordered 4 RKFs recently and none of them came with their boxes, therefore there should be absolutely no problem fitting them into the smallest possible DHL box. Each figure was only around 1000 yen. However, they wanted to charge me around 4100 yen for shipping. I was SO close to dropping Mandarake completely over it, but deep down I really didn't want to do that, so I figured, why not? I emailed them again, asking for the smallest possible DHL box, and the updated invoice only charged me around 1300 yen for shipping. On top of that, they told me to just request that under the order notes section next time.

Oh, wow, thanks! I haven't really had that sort of thing happen to me before with shipping, but it's good to keep in mind. I assume it's a mistake that happens from time to time?

I've gotten them to cut down to a smaller box a total of 6 times now. I'm very particular about dimensions and weight because I honestly refuse to believe that COVID is to blame for drastically higher DHL prices.

What made me suspicious was when I started using Amazon JP more often. They also use DHL to ship overseas. My orders on Amazon JP tend to be bigger(in volume and weight) than the ones on Mandarake, yet Amazon JP charges me MUCH less for shipping. Since most of us probably leave the comments column blank when placing an order on Mandarake, it's worth a shot just requesting that they use the smallest box possible.

The only downside I can see is that the contents could be a little more prone to being damaged, since they can't put as much protection in a smaller shipment.
