This might be a reach, but the movie Planet of the Apes is set in space as well. Not only that, I’m pretty sure that a gorilla or some other kinds of primate has made it to space before? Or at least been on a spaceship/rocket? Possibly just a coincidence though.

Just by exaggerating the proportions, you can get Fourze to resemble the Gorilla.
So, mainly, the connections are aesthetical and not really solid connections. However, there are still some connections, but I will mainly discuss the physical traits. The Kamakiri Vistamp is based upon both Kamen Rider Gaim and a Mantis. Which both would mesh pretty well together. Meanwhile, I say that the Owl would be given to Wizard not only due to its connections to intelligent wizards, but also based upon the fact that an Owl with closed wings would resemble Wizard's Head.
