I am very late to the party. Even though I watched the Press Release as it came out!

So, first off, I like that we're getting a lighthearted show after Geats. And as people have pointed out, after seeing how Revice or how many Rider Shows tend to go, it's very likely things will get dark.

The Protagonist, honestly, I like how he's presented so far. Plain? Sure. But so was Ikki and I don't remember people complaining about him, which sure, he's not dressed in a school uniform that a number of people would likely wear, but eh, I don't have a problem. Kind of reminds me of a downgraded (not in a bad way) Sento Kiryu, but also more of a Sentai Protagonist like Jyuru from Kiramager, not sure why, but possibly because he wants to befriend the Chemies.

Meggido Girls Trio. I guess Aguilera started a trend that led us to this. It's different, which I welcome. Very different from the master-behind-the-shadows (though, I have a feeling that could still happen) or something. The monsters look like the Magia from Zero-One, which I kind of wish they'd look wilder and kitbashed if we're going off an Alchemy theme.

I don't know if I said this in the initial teaser for Gotchard, but the Driver sounds like the Fourze Driver. The sounds, not the voice. The voice reminds me Build in a way. I'm honestly glad they're doing more distinct voices after some of the shows (prior to Geats) had at least a portion of the sound be very similar to a previous driver for a while.

And yes. Gotchard still looks amazing. I love the thing with the helmet revealing the eyes (which I just noticed the stylized arrows are bordered by train tracks), and the steam releasing every now and then. It's certainly very glossy, but it's still a beautiful suit, and that finisher looks terrific.

The rival being a non-Rider is welcome, especially with a design like that, good stuff! Glad to see less Riders in the beginning (though, he's absolutely going to become a Rider later on).

Also, is that Soichi from Build!?

Anyway, while I'll miss Geats (Boy, do I like this show. Best Reiwa season so far for me), I'm interested in seeing how Gotchard stacks up.

That is, it turns out that both the main and tertiary will be shooters? Is the secondary swordsman not even a rider? It's... an interesting solution.

Something I thought about, as Gotchard is fusing two things together for his forms, what if there is a rider that combines the eight types (not counting aplanet or Mythical as the two groups are used with each other exclusively).

I'm guessing they'd need the cards to be the same number for that to work.

Then, given that there are 10 types of cards, you can use 5 twos or 10 ones, if you remove the restriction on the number of cards in the belt.
