Yeah, Momotaros is awesome.
Perhaps you'll consider the Kiwami Tamashii of Momotaros? It's smaller, but cheaper... http://i.imgur.com/UqlSmVj.jpg Size comparison between full size SIC and KT. |
The idea of a pocket-sized "Momo" is enticing...
but I can't find it either. :cry Also because I have cat eyes I notice that Cyclone Joker is actually CycloneCyclone and JokerJoker and has an opposite abdomen and two cyclone memories. Also, Yuuto and Deneb, I love 'em already. Been with them not even half an episode and they're hysterical. |

I hope they stay funny. Just the whole idea of them I've seen is great, like tehy're sort of like brothers, sort of like friends, and Deneb is like a caretaker holding onto the money so Yuuto doesn't spend it all. That's just fucking funny.
My favourite secondary riders are ones that shake up the stereotype I see with Gills and Accel and Brotou. |

Anyway, Yuuto and Deneb are a fun pair. It plays the antagonistic secondary rider straight, but does deviate by having them not just painfully straight faced and dull. They did lose their thunder during the latter half, but you might still enjoy them. |
Yuuto is hands down one of the best secondary riders out there. And Deneb is one of the best supporting characters I've seen in recent years. Those 2 are a major reason why I love that show so much. The tragedy of Yuuto's backstory and the hilarity of his antics with Deneb just make for an awesome mix.
|
I love how Deneb hands out candy all the time and the other Imagin just take it, no question. When he, Kintaros and RedGuytaros were just chilling in the backroom on the floor eating candy I actually laughed out loud. One thing I like about Den-O, and W and OOO, was that the humour isn't super campy cartoon antics. It's just humour. Yeah there is antics, but just stuff like them sitting and eating candy cracks me up.

I just finished Kamen Rider Fourze the Movie: Space, Here We Come! Just in case, here's a SPOILER-WARNING! I don't know what the consensus is with this movie, but out of the few Kamen Rider movies I've seen so far, this is by far my favorite! I enjoyed every second of it, more than I can say for some of Toei's Toku movies. The fight scenes were AMAZING! I think the coolest one has to be that insane battle with all 12 Horoscopes and how every single friggin' switch or move that both Riders have ever used in battle was put to use here. That required some creative thinking and complex choreography, but it resulted in possibly the coolest fight scene in Kamen Rider I've seen yet. The rest of the movie isn't a slouch in the fight department either, with some really cool battles, especially with the Space Ironmen. Speaking of the Space Ironmen, I know nothing about them, but they made really cool characters. Malicious and evil, yet so cool-looking, they were fun to watch. Again, Fourze underscores its main theme of friendship and I loved seeing how all of Gentarou's old friends contributed to helping him win the day. I'm not sure if that's all the Zodiarts in the show's run (their faces were all quite familiar), but it really underscored how important the initially naive-seeming attitude of Gentarou towards friendship is. Both in-universe and out, people thought, as I did, that he was just nuts and immature with his friendship ideals, but it is in this movie (and the show's magnificent finale) that his friendship paid off. It was a strong, emotional scene and really speaks to the heart of what the show is about. Sure there were tiny problems here and there, mostly in those of logic. For instance I didn't get how Gamou managed to produce 12 additional Horoscope switches. Even if he were able to clone them, how did he get Pisces when it hasn't been found in the show yet? Why did Gentarou not use the Fusion switch anymore after the movie? Minor quibbles, though, and overall nothing that can't be solved without a little creative headcanon. All in all, a most excellent film, which greatly surprised me as I never really expect much from these Kamen Rider/Super Sentai movies that Toei produces. It captured the tone, the excitement and the theme of the TV show in one EPIC package and reminded me why Fourze is my favorite Kamen Rider series. :) |
I thought the movie was as bland as the Gaven movie. It was predictable, Gentaro was a cry baby, and it went on for too long. There were moments I liked, but overall, found it to be subpar and it does not fit anywhere in the series at all like the W movie did.

The fight choreography was beyond good, the Kyodain were pretty good villains (and one of them is played by DekaYellow), the Wizard cameo was great and totally in character, Inga was a fantastic new strong character to add to the Fourze universe, and Daitetsujin was voiced by freaking Wolzard from Magiranger! This movie had everything going for it. Even if it doesn't fit perfectly into the show you can theorize plenty of ways for it to fit. Much like Let's Go Kamen Riders and Megamax it's just a fun as hell movie and should be enjoyed as such. And exactly how does a man crying over something important to him make him a crybaby? |

In general, I don't see what made the movie subpar, having better action than most KR movies of recent times (In my opinion), a cohesive story and narrative, and a nice atmosphere overall. You're free to dislike it, I'd just like a little more elaboration to see where you're coming from, is all. |
God those two cafe guys in Den-O are atrociously annoying. They're so loud and have such horrible voices. Whoever said they're "Bulk and Skull done right" was horribly wrong. Bulk and Skull were genuinely funny and had real character. These guys are replusive in every way.

Though, in a series like Den-O, where the Taros's antics are so great to watch, have a comedy relief duo when there's already 6-7 comic characters, the worst of them really do stand out. Also, to be fair, Bulk and Skull did have 6 seasons worth or episodes to grow. I'm pretty sure S1 MMPR Bulk and Skull were terrible, too :lol |
Well, I'm halfway through episode 26 and, aside from not knowing what the God damn is going on, I just heard one of the terrors scream the worst scream I've ever heard. They're so grating.
But you're right, among the much better comedy relief, they stand out as particularily awful. Also what is the deal with that white guy? |

Miura is the bookish one, right? I guess he wouldn't be too bad if he was alone.
Also I was wrong, I was on 25, now I'm on 26. WHAT IS HAPPENING!?! |
Well my g/f has finally decided that she does not like Black. We are up to episode 27 and it has just gotten too repetitive for her and she does not see Kotaro at all interesting like she does with the modern rider series. I cannot say I am surprised, as I figured she would have problems with it, but oh well.
Anyway, why do I find Gentaro a cry baby in the Fourze movie? He starts breaking down every time something is not going his way. The computer is going to self destruct, he cries over a ****ing machine. The duo betrays him (which you could see coming from the first 10 minutes of the movie), he gets all teary eyed over it. It just felt out of character to me. I didn't hate it, I loved the combinations he was using of his modules, but the movie should have only been 45 minutes long. It did not need to be over an hour in length. |
Episode 4 and 5 of Wizard are down. I enjoyed them. Cat Sidhe had a so-so design, but that didn't bother me much. And we learned alot more about Koyomi, have to admit I didn't see her being a doll coming. Though her touching his belt, and Please o Please.. Yea, that was ackward :lol
|
Watched 6 and 7 of Wizard, or how I call them "Swindle, Please!". I actually liked this episode, but I think my favorite Phantom so far has been Cait Sidhe. He had more personality somehow. Lame monster design, but good personality. ... Haruto has some useless rings though. Fourze's Pen is more useful than Smell and Sleep. Outside of two or three situations they're useless.
|
Don't worry. I'm positive Excite will win you over :lol
|
Really need to catch up on Wizard. I just lost interest a while back.

Oops, wrong topic.

I watched Fourze 21 last night, still really enjoying Fourze, I feel bad I stopped watching it for so long, it's fun, and interesting. Nice guest star in this episode; Nao Nagasawa is really attractive.
Also watched Eps 10-12-ish of Wizard earlier in the week. I'm still really liking Wizard. the last episode I watched started with Shunpei being really annoying, but they didn't drag it out too long, and his earnestness to help is understandable. My one complaint is, I think Haruto needs to fail once, and I think it needs to happen soon. There were a couple of storyarcs where I thought they might produce a new phantom, but then they didn't (and the Gates were both kids, so of course they weren't going to kill them). But oh well. I still really like the designs, and the fighting. |

I keep hearing people say that, and it makes me excited, because I think I'm getting to where it dragged for a lot of people, but I'm still enjoying it. So if it's going to get better from here? It's going to be awesome!

Though, the introduction of Beast and the Phoenix story line was enough to keep me watching. |
Den-O has completely off'ed it's meds. Who is this Gaou? Why is there so much time-travelling? Why are there now THREE trains? It's like this show went from no overarching plot to too much.

The movie takes place between episodes and involves 2 episodes before it and one after it. It also involves multiple Ryutaros from several points in time converging at one point. That's why you start to see Ryutaro randomly disappear in those episodes and wake up in strange places.
|
So evidently there's a whole scorn of Den-O movies, all on youtube. Well that's convenient. Can anyone tell me which movie in particular is the one 26 is building up to, and when specifically I should watch it? (I don't want to start 27 and totally spoil the movie's events or anything)

I understand what people were saying now about Wizard's Driver screwing up scenes. Haruto in the hospital, staring down Phoenix, slides down the visor on his ring, dramatic music playing... and Shaboobie Touch to Ruin. And worse when he uses The Dragon Ring, or tries to. And again Laputchi Magic Touch to No, Please No. So that arguement I understand now.
I still enjoyed the episodes. Just something that bothered me. I did miss the mysterious boxes covered in a blue tarp though that always seems to appear whenever Haruto falls out of something. |
I'm watching the Den-O movie now. This Gaou fella is okay in my books. He finally shut that butterface Naomi up!
