Watched Doctor Strange today!
Lots of witty jokes It's got a slight...mature feel, decapitation, more bloody violence than average, etc. Mordo gets built up, which is good AMAZING visuals Defibrilators. Do. Not. Start. Hearts. I did NOT expect Dormammu this early, hope he comes back in a sequel for a 1v1 with Strange later Speaking of Dormammu, I expect JoJokes involving him in the future Strange is gonna be in Thor 3, isn't he? Nice! Cumberbatch made the movie better than ever Music was a bit more memorable imo Don't forget there are 2 Stingers! |
No new episode until the last Tuesday of the month? WTF? I can understand not next week, but come on!!
Anyway, this episode was great. Loved watching the new guy get his ass whooped by Ghost Rider. God that douche is nothing more than a tool. Reyes' story was pretty awesome especially with the cameo of what I'm assuming is Johnny Blaze. Not surprised his uncle is a dick and was behind the whole thing all along. Well, there's not much else for me to tell other than guessing if Simmons is now a Watchdogs prisoner (probably is). |

Which works for me as I leave on a family trip today so it's one less show on my backlog to catch up on. |
I heard that Marvel wants Nightmare in Dr Strange 2. Thoughts?
|
It was totally Johnny. Which is awesome. His skull had a bullet hole, showing how he died, while Robbie's has cracks from how he died when hitting the pavement. And there were some other differences like the jaw sizes and I think size of the flames. Good ways to differentiate them.
Just hope we see him again. Edit: Apparently people think we got a teaser that Johnny was around last week? When they dug up the book, some think it was literally buried in Johnny's yard. It had a bike, leather jacket, and Quintin Carnival poster. For some reason I don't remember this at all, must've not been paying enough attention. |

If you feel like watching something very, very awkward, here's the new (and temporary) Doctor Strange interactive experience at the Disney Hollywood Studios (aka TPFKATD-MS) in Orlando.

So far liking Champions. Still early to say if it is good or not but so far not bad.

Ghost Rider's going to get more things in MCU. Personally hoping it's Johnny Blaze this time though |
Please god gimme Johnny.

So Inhumans is going to be a television series now, starring the royal family. With the first two episodes shot in IMAX and premiering in fall 2017 for a limited theatrical run.
Not explicitly stated that the movie is altogether canned now though, nor whether the show is replacing Agents of Shield. Though both scenarios seem likely to me. |
I saw Dr. Strange today. FUCKING LOVED IT!!!!

I hope this means The Inhumans are not being the x-men replacements and will be doing their own thing.
Fox should just accept that they messed up the continuity and let Marvel and Disney help with XCU. |

Except Apocaylpse was a box office failure. They made a lot with Deadpool, but not with Apocalypse.
EDIT: It took me longer than I had anticipated, but I just finished reading Age of Apocalypse. I highly enjoyed it. It wasn't perfect and there were areas that didn't make sense due to poor artwork and story telling (especially Generation Next), but the end product was very well done. I loved getting to see what the universe was like if Apocalypse had taken it over. The different personalities of the characters were interesting, but it was Beast that shocked me the most. He was completely different compared to everyone else. I would really love to have seen him have his own miniseries in that universe. Cyclops was kind of bad ass, but I do feel it was quite convenient that him and Jean still had something together. My favorite character in this universe is probably Nate. I really enjoyed his story the most and he was an interesting charcter despite it not being possible for him to have been born given that Madelynn never existed. On the negative side, I do wish there was actually some backstory to Holocaust and the Sugarman, especially the Sugarman. I mean, Holocaust can get away with just being the son of Apocalypse, although I would like to know more about him. Is that his body or just a suit of armor? If that is really just a suite of armor, what happened to his body? As for the Sugarman, I just don't get him or the Generation Next comic. Who the hell were any of these people? What was up with the dude with the long hair and nose piercing? Also, Sugarman jumped into the Mkraan Crystal and we don't see his fate, he just disappears. God did he suck. I feel like he was created to be a Clown wannabe even though he was no where near the level of awesomeness that is Violator. There is a lot more I could talk about, but I'm still digesting it all, so I'm going to end it here. Overall, I give it a 3.5/5 stars and I feel like my adventure into the X-Men universe is now truly complete. Of course I'm not going to stop there though as I do have a friends copy of House of M sitting on my shelf to read along with those two Uncanny books I picked up for a few dollars a few months ago. |
So I started reading those Bendis Uncanny books I got for a few dollars and maybe it wasn't such a good idea to read a series that came out like 20 years after Age of Apocalypse. I can't follow this for crap. There are just way too many changes that it doesn't even feel like an X-Men comic. So Cyclops dumped Jean and is now in love with Emma... does Emma not know that Scott ditched his son and wife for Jean? Magneto working for Shield while pretending to be an X-Men (not like that has ever happened before). Oh, and they apparently have had their powers weaken... sure why not. Prof X is dead again? Yeah, that'll last. Also, where are Storm, Rogue, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Kitty? They don't even make any mention of them. Illyana got her powers back and is an adult again, cool I guess. Where is the fun? Everything seems to be taking itself super serious and the artwork is horrible. Where is the color? I can't even tell sometimes which character is talking.

In all honesty, I feel like AoA was THE end of the series as everything comes full circle with it. |

So, the person who leaked MVC3's roster is dropping hints about MVC4 if it's happening, he mentioned Gwenpool, and there's a rumour about another Fantastic 4 movie, though I doubt FOX is that stupid
|
Damn, that was a good damn episode. I loved the way they would do one bit in the real world, go to commercial and come back in the alternate world. That was really nice although I think they just made Ada go crazy. I can't wait to see how this ends next week. A shame they just came back from a long break and are already going on one next week. Makes them not having episodes for the last two weeks kind of pointless. I wonder who that new Inhuman was, if he was anything important.
On the negative side, the CGI for Mac's Ghost Rider head was pretty bad. I thought someone just photoshopped a Ghost Rider face over him Laughing Man style. |
...
... ... OHHHHHHHH. I somehow didn't realize it while watching but what Aida made was the technological equivalent of a sling ring, complete with sparks and appropriate hand gestures. So that's the subtle tie-in I suppose. Was probably thrown off by the line drawing preceding it to realize just how similar it was. |
I am Groot.

I freaking love Batista as Drax.

Marvel VS Capcom Infinite didn't even get mentioned yet here smh
Captain Marvel's face is apparently modeled off of Brie Larson's, the actress for the MCU version. And the big bag is Ultron on the Marvel side |
How do we know that the villain for MVCI is Ultron? I have a feeling that it will probably Thanos with Avengers 3 being not too far off. Thanos was also the final boss in Marvel Super Heroes, so it will be a good throw back to that game too.

At least Venom has a good chance on returning now. It's still a new game from Capcom, so I still feel iffy. It won't surprise me if we get another incomplete game and want us to buy Ultimate MVCI a few months later. UMVC3 piss me off when that game was announce because I pay $60 for the original MVC3 game and a few months later, we get UMVC3 at a cheaper price.
