Everyone wants Goku in Injustice 2. For guest in Injustice 2, I can see Sub-Zero and Max from Mad Max (He is own by WB. So he would be cheap to use).

McFarlane gave Netherrealms permission to use Spawn, but everyone assumed it was for MKX.

Ed Boon said that they never made any deal with Spawn. Todd may got confused with the HD remaster of SC2. Namco Bandai had to get the rights to Spawn to use them again.

Spawn was made to be a Anti-Marvel and DC. So having him be in Injustice 2 won't make much sense. I can see why people want Goku in Injustice 2 because fans can do a real battle between Goku and Superman. It depends if Shueisha is up for it.

As for Spawn himself, I don't think that really matters at this point. Much like Deadpool being created because Liefeld really liked Deathstroke, but also because Marvel didn't let him write Wolverine at the time, characters change.
I haven't read Spawn (Too young when released, didn't have the interest when I was old enough to buy it), but I'd imagine he doesn't have that same edge to him as Marvel and DC have both dipped into the same type of pool he emerged from, both in terms of tone and writing style.

Since we already got Persona 5's release date, the only specific game I want news about is Tales of Berseria. Other than that, just new game announcements I guess..

I could use a nice date for Cyberpunk 2077.

Captain Cold was kind of a given since the first trailer (The wire frame of his gun appears during the DC/Netherream/WB/whatever logos)
