I hated Lucky in the beginning and I still hate him now. Good god he is utterly annoying and now that it is revealed to be related to Orion, it makes his perfectness even worse. UGH! He makes me like Ban.

Just because I slightly praised it doesn't make it good. I was rather bored with Zyuohger because the villains did nothing the entire show. Naria was downright useless and had no business existing at all. The ending was also so damn cookie cutter and generic. It had a strong likable ranger cast though, which was its biggest positive. It also helped that they all received development.

I hate Dokoku in Shinkenger with his laziness, but at least he did stuff sometimes. What was Genis' excuse?

My idea is that they will have the first episode show both teams and the a lot of the episode will only show one of the teams one week but still have the same storyline for both of them, what I mean is that one week we just get Patoranger and the next week we get Lupinranger, then near the end of the show they will team up to take down the big bad of the season, and yes then would be some episodes where the 2 teams would fight each other. There would be 3 different intros for the show, one for each team and the third one would be a mix of the two intro for each team.

Can't complain.
I think another possible approach they might take is that one of the two is the sentai team for 2018 while the other team is featured as the main characters of supplemental material such as youtube videos, v-cinema movies, etc. So in the actual show they will be the rivals/secondary batch of regular characters while in their exclusive outlets they are the stars. Toei has been dabbling in other media platforms actively these days so it is a possibility.

Or they just want to have two Sentai teams in one season like how there is more then one Kamen Rider in a season.

Yeah but seeing as Lupinranger has the same number of Trademarks on that Patoranger does I see it more likely they will both be on the tv at the same time. Maye the season will be titled "Keisatsu Sentai Patoranger/Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger".

Sometimes I wonder if a cop sentai shouldn't resort to the same deal as Winspector or Solbrain, where the heroes are fighting human criminals instead of MotWs but since Patoranger would need their mechs to fight their foes, smashing your typical cat burglar with a giant robo might be overkill.

Thinking about it, cameos or any kind of references to the Metal Hero cop shows (rescue police in particular) would be kinda cool to see.

If you STILL hate Lucky despite the fact he went from fireball red to a rather serious red and had like 4 episodes without saying his catchprase, then you're just bitter and refuse to admit he went through character development

"Naria was useless!" She made the monsters grow. "Waah ending sucks!" Zyuland and Earth fusing which had a sequel movie showing how that went is cookie-cutter and generic? "What was Genis' excuse?" The fact he had no evil plan and it all was a game in his eyes, in which the other commanders had to entertain him. Do you even fucking WATCH Sentai or do you look at it from 4 yards away?
