Sounds like a more back-to-basics season, I guess Go-Onger and ToQger make sense to appeal more to kids.

Fortunately, I doubt these cameos will be as intrusive as the Kyoryugers, as Yokohama and Shison are super famous actors now. I've personally seen some of Yokohama's work in J-drama and I can agree that he's a good actor.

I was resigned to the expectation that Toei would want to capitalize on ToQGer's 10th anniversary somehow though. As much as I loathe to admit it, the merchandise sales were pretty successful due to Japan's love of trains, albeit still a decline from Kyoryuger.

Regarding Go-Onger, they were popular enough at the time of Gokaiger to get an important role as a component in their final Gattai. Go-Onger happens to be my favorite Sentai, so that means my most loved and most loathed Sentai are going to be in the same place. Hmm, not sure how I feel about that.

I don't mind Boonboonger having a clear-cut story from the start, as long as it's a good story. Execution is what matters. I'm hoping for something similar to Zenkaiger, with a balance of comedy and strong character development. Might be time to give Komura another turn as head writer, especially since she has experience with handling legendary Sentai.

I guess we can expect Red to drive a big rig type truck while Blue drives a buggy or rally car and Pink either a van, station wagon, or SUV. Given the Go-onger cameo and Black having police related cars maybe there could be a Gunpei/Go-on Black guest episode where he gives Black a few pointers or was Black's senior officer at one point. As for Orange, the whole bulldozers and excavators has me thinking that the ranger as a construction worker is probably the likely possibility, having Orange as the boss of a construction company or architectural firm would be interesting personally.

I'm thinking the cameos will be along the lines of Sasuke and Yosuke or Tsubasa in Ninninger. Personally, ToQger-wise I could see Shin Nagahama reprising his role as Akira/ToQ6 and be the senpai ranger cameo for an episode featuring Orange since Yokohama and Shison are probably pricy to hire since they're big stars like you've pointed out. Great if one of them could make it but I understand if they can't because business.

Preorders are up on Tokullectibles. There's something listed as BoonBlack & BoonOrange set, but what's interesting is that it's listed as DX. Is this going to be another "the heroes are the mecha" Sentai?

Nah, it sounds like their personal mecha just sold separately and whoever listed it on the site just simplified the name. I assume it's gonna be like Kyoryuger and Ryusoulger where Red, Blue, and Pink form the core robot.
