The lamps are going to be fantastic for both videos and pictures. Now the Ultraman itself is... kind of a let down. Well, it's great, but I've had to put in to have Amazon ship me a replacement because my god, the quality control on my figure sssuuuuuuuuuuucksssssssss! Like Kamen Rider Zx bad. His joints are extremely loose, so I can't keep him standing up for more than a minute and his elbows are so loose I could barely get him to stay in his finishing move pose long enough to get that shot I did. Hence why that is probably the worst picture of the bunch as I had to take what I could get. The timer is also glue into his chest so I can't even switch it out with the red colored one. Oh, and the plastic inside the Baltan ship hole was never fully cut, so I can't even attach the Tamashii Stand to it. I hope mine is just a one off and this isn't how the whole production was because if it is, this was no where near a $75 toy. |
My replacement Ultraman arrived today. He is nearly perfect with nice tight joints and his arm doesn't flop down with the ray on it. Tomorrow my building sets and Baltan arrive, so I'm going to take some pictures with the replacement's buildings before I ship it off to Amazon.

I bet that took awhile to setup, but it looks great.

Kind of. I set it up on my little picture shelf before I transferred it over to the case. I just wish those connect pieces weren't pieces of crap though. ' Here are a couple of other shots I did earlier: http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...psemsofpfy.jpg http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4afzrfwi.jpg http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...psppvkl2hg.jpg http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...psmmaps31m.jpg As for the shelf itself, I didn't think this through well enough. By the time I get Ultraseven and Metron I'm going to need a another shelf. |

Metron is insanely fun.

Gomora is pretty cool. In fact, he may be one of the best Not-MonsterArts MonsterArts ever. His tail is extremely stiff so you can actually pose it without having to worry about it flopping down before you can finish your picture. Not to mention it is able to be posed into a lot of positions. The paint job and sculpting on this figure are absolutely stunning. The only issue I have with mine is that his right hand falls off easily. That aside, this guy rocks.

However, the paint apps is where he really stands out, especially on his chest area with that prism looking plates. I do find it weird that his two antennae can pop out, as it feels like they had originally planned to give him an effect or something to put in there, but didn't have the budget for. I'm not really sure he was a $60+ toy, especially when Gomora cost just as much and you got more with him. Still, it is King Joe and that instantly makes him awesome. Now give me Showa MG Bandai so I can have some robot on robot action. Uh... not like that you pervs!! http://i.imgur.com/sVajki3.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Hgc7fI0.jpg http://i.imgur.com/w76xrfZ.jpg |
Argh I desperately need to pick up some extra building sets. Your set up is fantastic.

Yeah, that's a great setup, the miniature vehicles and trees really add a lot.
I will get myself a building set to try them out, but I don't think I can afford this many, gotta get creative with the four I get in one set :lol It's also good to hear that Gomora holds up, I've been toying with the idea of buying one. |
Gomora would be a lot better to photograph if they'd given him better eyes. I know it's accurate and all but he just looks blazed all of the time :lol

That's because you have his head raised too high. Remember, Gomora's head was fully curved over so if his eyes were centered, he would be looking at the ground.
I didn't have his head properly angled in my pictures either. |

Even the box has him posed with the neck raised. |

Great shots! Your copy of Orb looks pretty clean too, nice!
|
And here's my Orb Origin-contribution! Thankfully my second copy is pretty much perfect, no scratches or paint splatters and no exploding hips.
Tried to play with lighting this time, I really like how the first picture turned out but the rest is pretty meh as far as the light is concerned. Still liked posing him though! Also, the Building-sets are surprisingly fun, I need more of these, I'll order some once Geed comes around. https://i.imgur.com/X3Cj43o.jpg https://i.imgur.com/K5sOhev.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Y8tkjN5.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9B89b1K.jpg |
