Hey so what's the difference between Excite subs' Hard and Soft subs for Blade? Which one should I download?

Hardsubs are an irremovable part of the video, and are thus mp4, while the softsubs have the subs as a seperate layer, but thus require something like VLC to play properly. They're the same set of subs, just different tech.

is there any other site aside from kissasian to stream kamen rider? The only reason I use it is because sub groups have this obsession with making you torrent their stuff; and that takes forever, then they do stupid shit like above and only give soft subs which is just lazy.

We'll see who chooses to pick it up, but for now Over-Time has decided to pass on Saber. This is at least partially out of concern that Toei may authorize an official sub.

Guess I'm going with Genm Corp subs this year, they're one of two groups I'm aware of that subs ongoing Rider shows, with the only other one being TV-Nihon and that's certainly not an option for me.

Ooft I really hope EXCITE or somebody new comes in and picks up Saber, I don't trust GenmCorp to not just disappear for two months. And TVN really should just be a last resort tbf.

It's not an obssession, it's money. Torrenting is free. Most other options are not. Sub groups aren't getting paid and thus have no money.

If you torrent them on or close to their release date, though, it's a very fast and easy download. It's the old stuff that takes forever.

Anyway, just wanted to point out that there is a reason for this.

It's that time again. I'm about to start Hibiki (a thing I 99% of the time type as "Hibki" and then have to go back and correct), and I've got three subbing groups to choose from:

SS
OZC-Live
TV Nihon

Thoughts on these three groups, specifically for their work on Hibiki? (typed Hibki again) Pros and cons? Recommendations? I'd rather watch the best version, if there even is such a thing. Thanks in advance for your advice!

OZC-Live it the one with the highest video quality. The video quality on the TV-Nihon is ripped straight from a 2005 source. And the OZC subs are completely the same as SS so you might as well as go with the highest quality avaiable especially since the show took so much time in it presentatians

This. Unlike Faiz, TV-Nihon has never gone back and redone their Hibiki subs. The video quality is atrocious; it looks like the camera had Vaseline smeared all over it. It's an old project, too, and there are some significant translation errors.

I like to pretend that me having watched Hibiki via TV-Nihon's subs allowed for a more 'homey' experience, like I was on an old, battered television. Wouldn't recommend it though!

Be sure to add Bereke Scrubs to the list for Stronger, Super-1, and Black RX. They're all complete.

Not sure of their quality just yet, but I plan to use them for my watch of Super-1 soon.

Ooh, I was going to watch Black RX soon! Are Bereke known for good subs?

From what little I do know, they do seem to be much better than many of alternatives. And when it comes to Black RX, they apparently worked with OZC-Live on it, who do good work with their subs. So I'd say Bereke should be a safe bet.

It is a lot harder to maintain this list than it used to be. Now that everything’s been done, new versions slip under my radar more easily.

Anyone know what happened to Genmcorp? I was watching their subs for Sabre, but they seem to have stopped making new ones like a month ago. Looks like I'll have to try izu, but I know nothing about them.

I think one of their admins has personal issues, and they've had to put subbing on hold while those get sorted.

Yeah, it's unfortunate but the person in charge of Genm just isn't gonna be able to do subs for a while. Just hope it's nothing too serious, like Burgermon dying again.

Izusubs has been pretty good for me so far! I enjoy their approach to certain things and nothing stands out as glaringly bad so far.

I'm thinking of using Izusubs, but they apparently don't come with the video, which means I need a raw video, but I don't know how or where or find that. Does anyone know how to do that, specifically for Saber?

Has anyone done the Kiva HBV? Was running through HBVs I hadn’t seen the past couple days and couldn’t find anyone that had done Kiva’s (aside from “part 1: ixa-cise”).

TV Nihon did it.

TV-Nihon has received what appears to be a C&D from Toei, and to be safe has taken down almost all of their Sentai and Rider subs.

Safe action, the letter is most likely fake though as a very similar if not identical fake was received by another subbing group.

No reason to panic for us as a fandom, but a logical decision for TVN, better safe than sorry.

I really wonder what motivates people to send fake C&Ds. In the multitude of forms of trolling, if the document looks fake, it doesn't work at all. If it looks real and accurate, it's incredibly criminal to impersonate a legal entity. All for what endgame?
