If they do get to make a series of movies I was thinking maybe they make a sequel and then make a trilogy out of the Lord Zedd era:

MMPR: This movie.

MMPR2: Tommy/Green Ranger first appears as brainwashed lieutenant. Turns good in the end and all six defeat Rita. On end credit scene Rita barely makes it out of Earth alive only to meet her demise by Lord Zedd.

MMPR Zedd arc part 1: Rangers fight Lord Zedd. Tommy gets blasted away and is presumed dead. Jason, Zack, and Trini sacrifice themselves to prevent Zedd's grand scheme, leaving Billy and Kimberly as the two only survivors. All has gone to hell, Zordon and Alpha are missing in action.

MMPR Zedd arc part 2: Jason, Zack, and Trini are succeeded by Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. Tommy makes a glorious return as the White Ranger thanks to Zordon and Alpha. Also, we get what resembles the ditched Zyu2 mechas instead of Thunderzords(not that I hate Dairenoh, but they aesthetically do not fit in my opinion. So how does White Tigerzord fit? Well, see the pic below.).

MMPR Zedd arc part 3: The newly formed team has their final battle with Zedd. THIS TIME, Zedd meets his demise bringing peace to Angel Grove. Epilogue, Ernie is still selling juice, Bulk and Skull are up to their antics as always only to get busted by Stone, and Mr. Caplan loses his toupee for the 100th time. All is well.

-So far, the movie right now is just called "Power Rangers"

-Rangers meet in the early minutes of the filming and are drawn together but "they don't know why"

-They find out when they go to coal mine, they fall into a lake, they swim underneath the lake to a cavern and "boom, the rest takes place from there."

-They find out why they're all called together once they get out of the lake and into the underground cavern

-Downtown Kamloops is the setting for the big 3rd act of the movie
-A lot of the action shots are aerial - use of the drone
-A car will be rolled down the street
-These scenes will be enhanced with CG
-"Creatures" will be edited in

The Dewdrop Ecological reserve gets called the "Cascadia Mining Company" for the movie. It's here where the Rangers find out "why they were brought together." I believe it's only the exterior as I think the interior shots are filmed at Pitt River Quarry.

Okay. Not what I was expecting but not bad either. She's definitely more sexy than the original, despite the Madonna bra cones of the original.

My first thought? This would make a pretty decent live action Witchblade design.

Going theory is that her suit ties in with the Dragon Coin and Dragon Zord. Can't deny that is a good idea.

Why didn't they cast a redhead to play Poison Ivy? I don't mind the actress they went with, but gingerness is kind of a big part of Poison Ivy's design.

Why Posion Ivy? This is clearly a picute for the new reboot of Species!

Ah, this fandom. How does this surprise any of you? They were not going to make her cone-bra pig-tailed wonder-witch like the original series. They had to update, change, her design. And I absolutely love it along with what Wishful Thinking said. She looks like that because of her ties to the Dragon power. I love that theory.

In the meantime I'm going to sit back, enjoy my tea, and watch people wig out over one still. And how it isn't like your childhood.

What's the point of trying to passively-aggressively denigrate anyone who isn't gushing over this project? Just because someone has a negative opinion, it doesn't invalidate that opinion and very few (if any) people seem to be getting as worked up about things as you like to make out. What's the point of white knighting a movie, of all things?

Thats like saying we shouldnt expect Spider-Man to wear his traditional costume or Captain America to have his iconic american flag design. You can update, change and reinterpret a design without disregarding everything the source material has done.

Honestly? I would love to see a whole new Spider-Man redesign. Just to see what people would come up with. Same for Cap. Also, I would love to see the other Captains finally done.
