There are definitely things to like in there, no doubt about that, and part of me is hyped.
But everything about it is so different that it's really hard to judge.

You can blame the present on MegaTen.
But all those idols... so many of them... why?

it's called Genei Ibun Roku #FE

and they've done a lot of good design choices with characters like Chrom, Cain and Tiki.

and if you're wondering why there's idol stuff in there, a lot of themes for the characters is that they want to be entertainers of some sort, for example, Tsubasa wants to be an idol, whereas Toma wants to be an actor, so many of their designs reflect their dreams. Tsubasa looks elegant, whereas Toma looks heroic (his battle entrance even has him riding in on a motorcycle and everything)

the SMT characters are basically like stands, and I like how we have this dual world thing going, especially since the FE characters look like Digital Devil Saga summons.

Why do people hate the new Metroid game? Why can't there be a Metroid spin off game without Samus and focus on other characters in the universe? Look like Republic Commando for example. You play a Storm Trooper in that game and it was well like. Something can be different and still awesome. Remember when Prime came out and how it was a FPS game? It was different and yet awesome. I wish people would give this new game a chance.

Yeah, plus it's not like I can pop in an 360 game and away we go, the games will be avalaible via digital only which is exactly the same thing that Sony does with PS Now....

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that we haven't had a new game in like 5 years so people were expecting something more. Also the artstyle.

It's been 5 years since the last Metroid game, and there was no proper Metroid shown yet, and people are taking out thier frustration on this innocent game. Hell, even AlphaOmegasin, one of the most levelheaded youtubers I subscribe too, says he wants this game to fail to send a message to Nintendo. I mean what the fuck guys? Getting this game cancelled or finacialy fail isn't gonna speed up development on the new game or anything. They're gonna let all of the hard work Next level games go to waste just because it has the Meteoid name in it and they are pissy with Nintendo proper, then they should go fuck off.

To me 5 years is hardly a long time. If Nintendo plans to do a Metriod game on the NX then this game can be a nice spin off to keep fans busy until 2017 at the earliest.

There was Star Wars, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Horizon, Yoshi Yarn, Unravled, Gears 4, Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Uncharted 4, Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Final Fantasy VII, Persona 5, Metal Gear Solid V, Batman Arkham Knight, Zelda Tri Force Heroes, Madden, NHL, NBA, Fifa, Recore, Tacoma, Dreams, South Park, The Division, Just Dance, Dark Souls 3, Plants vs Zombies, Shenmue III, something has to tickle your fancy.

I hate it because:

1. It is in a chibi style.
2. It is a multiplayer shooter and sports game.

If it was in a serious style ala the Prime series and had a full indepth exploration and story aspect, I wouldn't mind.

Actually, 2007 is when Prime 3 came out, so it has been 8 years.

Other M was a travesty. They got rid of the exploration, locked you out of areas, and it was all combat based. It was more Ninja Gaiden than Metroid.

Actually, that is not quite what AOSin said. He said he hopes those who do want to play it enjoy it. He doesn't want it to be canceled and called out the petition as stupid because of those who do want it. What he said is to show our dissatisfaction with it by not spending money on it.

Just saying this once, regardless of where you stand on gamergate, DO NOT bring it up here. We are not starting that here. There will be infractions given to those who engage in that kind of discussion.

If a game is a financial failure, why would you assume that they'd want to put MORE money into that franchise?
If Federation Force flops financially and critically (Which it will, critically, judging by all the whining), why would you assume Nintendo would be eager to continue the Prime line? They'd just go "Whelp, interest in Metroid has waned. Time to move on to more Zelda."
