Yeah, the Boost Eyecon's price just seems overly inflated. I get that it has lights and sounds, but it's still...an Eyecon. It's like, two inches cubed. And it costs two thirds of a Condor Phone. Pretty silly.

It's in these times that I'm thankful for the discounts online stores have. 2000 yen for an Eyecon may seem excessive, but 1600 is what I paid for Newton and that bastard didn't even glow (it's also closer in price to the lockseeds, the last collectibles with electronics).

I don't believe there is a Genesis set eyecon it was made up or something. We would have seen it by now if there was one.

It wasn't made up, it was listed on the original catalog that listed everything else that has now come out. It was real.

May not be real now, chances are it was cancelled for some unfathomable reason, but no one made it up.

Hmmm I see but it the photos of the two eyecons on the bottom left. Why put it there plan it for release and then cancel it. Maybe it has to do with ghost not being that popular cause drive was not popular they did not want to take a chance making something that would not sell? Either way very weird

This is probably crazy... But what if they used the budget for the movie on something OTHER than toy shilling? What if they put more work into storytelling and visual effects instead and cut the gimmicky form changes (that the Genesis Set was meant to represent) out of the film entirely? Unspeakable, right?

Seriously though, for one reason or another that could be the case. I guess we'll find out once the movie is released, huh?

They're Damashii though. I assume that as form changes go they are about as cheap as you can get. If the Hyper Battle Video can get away with two brand new forms, I don't really see how it could be a budget thing for an actual movie. Besides, while yeah, usually the form changes for the crossovers are kinda gimmicky, I think at least a Da Vinci form would make perfect sense and flow perfectly naturally. I mean. I'm guessing. Who actually knows.

The second Damashii, on the other hand, probably would be Drive. Yeah. That'd probably be kinda gimmicky. I don't know, could be Krim. I mean, that'd make more sense than anything.

My own Crazy Theory is that Bandai wants to be Super Duper Secret about it for some reason and won't release or announce anything until like, the day it comes out. But yeah, we'll have answers in like 10 days.

Maybe Chase becomes a Damashii somehow and that's why they're keeping it secretive.

Rather peculiarly, it doesn't say it comes with "Legend Riders" but instead "Heisei Rider." I can only assume that means it comes with the actual Heisei Rider Eyecon, and uh...other things I guess?

Also, colors for these previews aren't the most accurate things ever, but both the Gashapon and SG sets coming out in March have an orange one, so I'm betting that's for reals. March is around the time the mid-season form debuts, so I can't imagine that's a coincidence.

With the new Jyuohger toy catalog being revealed, it revealed two new Ghost items. The Eyecon Driver G which will be released March 2016 and the GC11 Kamen Rider Ghost Grateful Soul which will be released April 2016.

The Eyecon Driver G sounds interesting. Could it be a fourth rider or a way for Ghost to access his final form?

I wish we had prices so we could guess at least how big that Driver actually is. I doubt it's an actual Driver, so a power-up thing seems likely. Though I can't really imagine anything to hook up to the Ghost Driver without it being weird. That thing is bulky as hell as it is. G could stand for Grateful so there's that too.

edit: nevermind I just noticed it does say Henshin belt in the catalog. Belt it is. They haven't ever changed the belt for a main Rider that I know, so...I'm guessing fourth Rider then?

Grateful is of course not one of the sounds found in the Driver, so either way either the corresponding Eyecon has electronics or it only works with something else. I hope Grateful is like Boost though, where he gains a new base form but has other forms.

Huh. It would actually be kind of interesting for the main Rider to change Drivers. I mean, it kind of sucks from a toyline standpoint. But otherwise, hey, that would be a first.

Or maybe the G stands for Ganma? I doesn't say "Ghost" anywhere on there. Maybe it's a way for Ganma to more efficiently benefit from Heroic Eyecons? Or vice versa? Maybe it allows Ghost to take on the powers of Ganma he's slain, similar to Javelle? Well, the speculation is fun at least. :p

A Ganma belt...now there's an idea! I mean, there's also those transformation Ganma Eyecons like the Renaissance trio and Javelle that definitely look like they were made to be toys, but they can't fit into a Driver at all. A special belt for that would be pretty cool. (it'd also be cool if those were ever released...). Of course it would be pretty weird/kinda lame to have different trinkets that don't work with the other transformation items there are, but still. Could be interesting.

The second Eyecon in set 6 (with Double) has been revealed. It's Boost, surprisingly. Looks like it's gonna be a normal Eyecon. Wonder how it's gonna work. Have the set preordered so I'm interested in seeing if it can actually switch between modes.

Oh yeah those. I meant to bring them up earlier but more exciting things distracted me.

The Benkei Eyecon is very white. He lacks color to the point where it looks like his face is just a rainbow. Not the most ideal thing, but...Beethoven also looked like that in videos but in hand it's pretty normal. I expect Benkei will be the same.

It's a shame the Lantern doesn't actually light up. Also that it's the one Gadget of Ghost's that can fit on the Hand (...I think? Pretty sure the bat can't...) but it can't do jack there. It also looks like kind of a dumb hammer in any case, but it's what it is.

GC stuff's not bad. Ghost looks fabulous in both of Specter's Damashii, and vice versa. Beethoven really just looks surprisingly good in GC form. Tut too, kinda. Nobunaga is nice, but the cape deal really looks like it screws up articulation in that area. Benkei...Benkei is also nice I guess, but I still just can't get excited about him. I don't think his mask was reproduced that well either.

Benkei's face really doesn't look good on the GC figure. The hood is also huge.

I don't think it's big so much as it's just an unorthodox shape. It's more squarish on top so it looks like it leaves more space up there

Spider can also attach to the cross-guard on the Saber! I can't wait to attach three gadgets at once just for fun. If only there was a way to combine all four. I NEED TO CREATE THE PERFECT GADGET, DAMMIT.

Also, if only the Hand made certain sounds with a gadget attached and the hand open, and different ones with the hand closed. That way when it's closed, you'd have the sounds for sickle mode, and when it's open you could have sounds for a potential spider hammer. Oh well.

Do the Gamna eyecons have lights or sounds? If not whats the difference between the regular Ganma eyecon and the Javelle one?

I'm hearing that Ghost's Grateful Soul is going to be his "Super Form" since the GC figure is being released in March or April. In other words, Ghost's Grateful Soul is Drive's Type Formula or Gaim's Kachidoki Arms.

This is kinda suck.

The main Rider is getting a new belt. Dang it man, you already made me buy the old one! Egh. I'd be fine with this if you could at least use the Ghost Driver as a Specter belt, but you really can't. Sounds interesting and stuff, but...eh. They say it looks like a huge Eyecon. I just hope it's not as bulky as one.

Also Specter Necrom Damashii huh? Huh. Well, with Takeru jacking all of their forms I guess they had to improvise. With the Necrom Eyecon not really doing shit in the Ghost Driver though, what's the point? Also, does this mean Kamen Rider Necrom stops being a thing at this point or something like that? These leaks are perplexing.

Also...yeah. This pretty much puts an end to any idea that the Shinsengumi form could be an upgrade for Takeru at this point. Three forms is child's play. So I'm guessing the trio forms are gonna be movie exclusive after all, if they're ever used at all.

I'm liking that our "ALL THE POWERS!" form isn't the final one, like it has been for the past couple years. Hopefully they come up with something more imaginative for his Ultimate.

Again. I think the titular hero getting a new belt entirely is something new and interesting from a story perspective. But from a toyline perspective... yeah, I'm wishing the Specter sounds were more integrated into the Ghost Driver even more now.

Also, who said the Necrom Eyecon doesn't do anything in the Ghost Driver? One of the previous scans specifically showed it doing something in there. I think it has its own sounds and activates one of the silent button combos in the Driver. It does leave me wondering what happens to Necrom too, though.

I'm also glad the combo forms supposedly wont be in the show. I thought the fact that Ghost had three completely new characters, and that Specter still had Nobunaga among his three, was stupid.

Wow I hope that's false... If that's the case i probably won't buy it. Isn't also a little earlier for final form leaks?

Well, ok, I said that wrong. It does likely trigger one of the jingle less things, but that's what I mean. It doesn't do anything particularly interesting. The Necrom Eyecon probably has sounds, but I wouldn't be too surprised if all those sounds were just it saying "Necrom" to fill in the gaps in the Driver's sounds. For something that may (though speculating at this point is premature), may end up serving as one of Specter's final forms or something like that, it's a little boring. We will have already seen Necrom being used and probably do slightly more interesting things with his actual Rider, having it thrown in as a form for another one feels like recycling.

I mean, the Ghost Driver is already here, and the Megauruoda w/Necrom Eyecon is coming out next month. If all Specter's gonna get in the third quarter is "put those two things together!" I'm gonna be kinda annoyed.

I guess so, but maybe Specter Necrom is like... A fusion form that acts as both of their "mid-season" forms (If Necrom is a Ganma, perhaps it's Specter using HIS spirit to transform, Double style.) Then they each get another final on top of that. Maybe that's why they've been conserving the budget this far with stock footage and simple form changes: so that they can give the secondaries proper final forms as opposed to the past couple years. :p

With Ghost switching to a new belt, blank sounds in the Ghost Driver give hope for a bonafide final form for Specter at least.

The only thing is that there really isn't anywhere on the Ghost Driver belt for another thing to attach. It's all just weird. That line does raise questions, but eh.

Honestly, it's kind of sad to think about the fact that all this headache about Specter's forms could have been avoided by just not giving him a different jingle. Sad because his jingle is way cooler than Ghost's, but still. It would have simplified things a lot. It's like they wanted to differentiate between the Riders but didn't want to actually commit to something like the faceplates from Gaim so they just settled on the most half-assed option they had. Sad.

And yeah, got the payment for Benkei as well. HLJ has been good about this the last couple of weeks...

There's plenty of space along the strap still. I referenced the Hyper Zecter because it attaches on the side of Kabuto's belt; on his hip. But I mean, until we see pictures, I'm not 100% the Eyecon G is a new belt entirely. It could just be in the "Henshin Belt Series"... What if it replaces the front cover of the Driver? No idea how its sounds would work that way, though.

Well yeah, it could attach to the side, but what would be the point? How would it interact with the Driver? There's nothing there for both of them to do.

I have thought about a cover replacement, because that would be an easy way to change up the belt, but like you say, that doesn't have any relation to the sounds at all so it wouldn't really work.

It does when the thing has sounds on its own. They dont have to all come from the Driver. The Tridoron Shift Car worked the same way. 90% of the sounds came from the shift car and not the driver.

Based on the little information we have the Eyecon Driver doesn't have most of the sounds, it has all the sounds it needs. And if it was a cover replacement the two really would have very limited ways of interacting with each other. It makes having the Ghost Driver there completely superfluous if it's not doing anything.

This sucks that he has too use a different belt. I wish it was an attachment to the Ghost Driver. It still sounds like a good idea though. If this is just the Super Form, then how crazy is his final form going to be.
