I watched Episode 2 recently, I personally think it's off to a good start. It's definitely generic mecha anime but what they do with the characters and the set up so far has me interested for the long run.

and that's all that matters. After all not everything can be an Eureka Seven or a Code Geass.

Eureka Seven is godlike.

Just watched the first 2 episodes of OreImo season 2. Much of the same really, I see Ayase is still an unlikable bitch.

so far the latest animes i have been watching are: "A certain magical index", "A certain scientific railgun", and "Shakugan no shana". i'm on season 2 of Shana.

What sucks is that in the dub it changed hands between seasons 1 and 2 so it has a different cast in English.

Agreed. When I first heard his little narration at the start of the first episode I thought "Oh yeah, this is going to be awesome."

I'm trying to find more stuff to follow through this season, so I tried some stuff out.
Nyaruko-san W seems to be more of the same. I was rather impartial to the series to begin with, so this isn't that much more interesting, but it's not bad.
Oreimo seems to have done away with any and all character development that happened throughout the first season. Marvelous. The humor is still good though, so there's that.
This Henneko stuff though? Weird. Really weird. It's like a reverse Chuu2, but the protagonist isn't very charming at all unlike DAAKU FUREIMU MASUTAH.

I think I'll try out Photo Kano and My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU at some point this week.

Rosario X Vampire and Sgt. Frog are worth trying out, if you're in the mood for a romance or comedy. What I'd love is to get my hands on Loveless.

Well, the dub of the first season of Lagrange the Flower of Rin-ne just finished if you're looking for a mecha series, I also highly recommended Eureka Seven on the off chance you haven't seen that one. Though if you want comedy there is Squid Girl, Rosario + Vampire (Beware of fan service) and of course the World God Only Knows. For the serious there is Spice and Wolf, the Key/Kyoto Ani Holy Trinity (Air, Kanon and Clannad), the oh so underrated Blue Drop and of course I can't forget Madoka Magica. Any of these should serve your fancy though.

Have you watched episode 3 yet? I thought that one in particularly was fantastic as it was the back story most glaringly missing in the first season.

I should be watching Evangelion 3.33 but since the torrent didn't finish over the weekend (was at my gfs and can't torrent at home) that will have to sadly wait until next week. In the meantime I have Little Witch Academia to watch :D
