Picked up Moguera from Forbidden Planet for $60 over the weekend and while he does suffer from early SHMA symptoms of having joints but not the range to fully use them I like him. The amount of accessories are great and he has a nice heft to him. I'm wondering if one of the skirts is paint stuck or something as the left side doesn't go as far out as the right side.

Just got my Alien Warrior from AmiAmi. Still waiting for my Hunter Predator order to come through. Hopefully we'll see more AvP after Big Chap. I don't normally collect Monster Arts but AvP is too good to pass up.
|
Amazon had Kiryu for a crazy good price on Monday and I couldn't resist. I'm really disappointed by the hips (Moguera has more range!) especially since this is a more recent SHMA entry I thought the engineering would be better. He does look gorgeous though and I can't wait to get a Millenium Godzilla for him to fight.
|
I forgot the MonsterArts Predator and Xenomorph got released, are they worth it? I know Neca gets a bad wrap, but I can go down to the store and pick up a Predator from them say for a tenner, are the monsterarts really worth paying three times that to important them in?

I got Godzilla millenium and I am quite a bit disappointed. The joints don't do much at all and they keep popping off. So far the jaw, tail parts, arm and leg have popped off just from what I would assume would be normal movement. They pop right back on, but it's really annoying if you just want to futz with it... I'm debating if I want to sell it...

The 2014 Poll has been officially closed with 10,079 votes!
Here are the results: http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...5.jpg~original The results and comments have been submitted to Bandai Tamashii Nations for consideration. I'd like to reiterate, these results don't guarantee anything. Its purpose is to collect data on consumer interest within the S.H.MonsterArts line of the Godzilla franchise. The voting page will remain for everyone's viewing. The confirmation "?" will be filled in as new releases are announced. I'll also be providing a link to it on The Articulation Series site and Facebook page. Great Job everyone! |

Yeah, it is basically Godzilla 94 2.0 but they are just calling him Jr from the end of GvsD instead. I wished they had done Bio Goji first, but whatever.
|
is there a possibility that a gamera one could get made at any point? I just finished the third film in the 90's gamera trilogy and would love to see something like that made.
|
Didn't think it would be done since the suit is technically inaccurate (I think). Glad they're doing it, will buy and stick on my shelf as regular Godzilla.
|
No it isn't. The Burning Suit and the 94 suit are the same.
|
Parts of them are, but not all of them. The larger thighs and all the glowing patches of skin change the dimensions of the suit.

I wish that they will start making more non MA figures. So far we got, Alien and Predator. Why not do Freddy and Jason S.H MonsterArts since those will likely sell well. DBZ S.H MonsterArts could work since Dragon Ball has enough giant size characters.
|
I prefer that SHM stay mostly focused on Godzilla characters, the occasional one offs are fine. Just my preference. Anyway I missed the pole, but glad to see that Megalon is among the top requested figures.

I wish they will move on from the 90's Heisei stuff and start doing the older monsters.

Is the Godzilla that's just gone up for preorder a rerelease with a new effect part or a whole new figure?
I'm out of the loop apparently. |

EDIT: Just scrolled through the thread and it seems that's the case. |

It's a whole new sculpt. New mold.
So technically it 'IS' the Burning G suit. But this isn't a repaint. More like an opportunity for new fans to get a hold of the flagship SH Monsterarts figure that many missed a few years ago. The 2014 Movie version should come out soon after. |
Where do you see it being a new mold? If that is the case, they should have done Bio Goji.

I have no Monster Arts, but man that new Godzilla is gorgeous! And tempting.
|
It's looks like a great figure to start your collection. And relatively cheap for a Monsterarts.
|
I hope they can stop milking Heisei stuff after G84, G89/91 and MKG. Adult Jr. seems like a pointless figure to me.

A rehash of 1995 is more apt. Not 1994.

There's also Biollante Rose Form, if they ever want to do everything from Heisei.
|
Rose Form could work a figure similar to the Figuart Zero. I doubt it can sell well on it's own.

Finally bit the bullet and bought a SHM Destroya and UA Golza this week. Ruined my budget for the month though. SHM Gigan is out now and I want that figure next.
Still wish there was Megalon on the horizon. |
