A princess is a female monarch of a principality. I think Equestria is a principality, even if it isn't called such because kids don't know what a principality is.
Plus, royalty is weird in MLP. Apparently you can earn it by understanding a magical aspect about a life lesson. So far we've seen a unicorn that became royalty because of a true understanding of friendship (though technically the Royal Wedding made her part of a royal family) and a pegasus that did the same but with the power of love.

I'm not accepting Cadance's backstory until it's confirmed in show.

Though he could just as easily get spoilers by jumping back about 10 pages. The S3 finale wasn't that long ago.
Plus the Hub spoils a lot of stuff. If Guncannon watched Transformers Prime at all back in January, he'd have seen spoileriffic adverts for the show's season finale spectacular. Hasbro ain't subtle.

I did watch Prime, but it was on Teletoon On Demand. So yeah, I'm going into the series completely blind.

That fan parody is weird, but I like it.

Also some people say the Dragon in Dragonshy looks like Smaug. Keep that in mind.

Dragonshy was pretty good. Fluttershy is definitely at her best here, well at least in the last few minutes. Still don't like Rarity much, and the fact that she could've gotten everyone killed by her greed isn't helping. She goes down a peg for me. Also, Pinkie is now tied with Rainbow Dash for second.

It happens to all the characters in some form or another. It shows them, I guess, struggling to uphold the Element they represent...if that made any sense.

No, no. I won't dog him. He hasn't gotten to a Rarity episode yet. She's pretty much a bit player past the season opener until "Look Before Your Sleep" (Where she's a freaking antagonist :I)
Rarity doesn't get her time to shine until "Suited for Success" and "Dog and Pony Show."

Actually, I always saw "Look Before You Sleep" as an episode that showed how even the conflicting personalities of Apple Jack and Rarity could still maintain a friendship. The only antagonist in that episode was the abrasion of personalities, not any one character.

That's a rather great way of putting things. I always viewed the episode as a way of establishing that, while friends with Twilight, not all the characters began as friends themselves.

Well my friend told me that Equestria Girls might involve twilight sparkle going into another universe. All i heard in my head was "Destroyer of Worlds Twilight Sparkle".

Yeah. EG is about Twilight and friends going into the real world.
