I've seen this a couple of times, and like, is there a source? Or wishful speculation taken out of context? Or is it just a fake rumour like "Zi-O will totally be a woman, look at her chestplate!"

It kind of is similar to the Zi-O one, for that old story, a rumour mentioned there were plans to have Zi-O be a woman and beyond that, said rumour listed a bunch of different other stuff. The first source I saw claiming that Kingohger would use bugs as a motive said that they aren't entirely sure what Papillion'a gender is. Also worth noting this might be like, a situation like Utena or Fate where a female character is addressed as a male one for their role

I don't think Papillon and Kamakiri's mold looks particularly gendered at all. They just look smaller than the other three.

I'm still leaning toward Papillon being a Rose of Versailles situation, where they're born a princess but live life as a prince, but I think it's definitely still possible that Papillon is male.

If they do go Rose of Versailles with Papillon I wouldn't mind seeing Mina Asami from Maskman cameo as Papillon's maternal figure. We've had Haruta and Hagiwara come back to the franchise for Kyoryuger before so I think it would be a fun idea. :rock:

If I recall, these ShuGods (the ladybug, spider, ant, etc.) are called the Lesser? or Substitute? ShuGods, so perhaps those are what they are: just lesser, substitute version of the main ShuGods. So maybe they don't have worshippers since they are lesser than the main ones anyway. Just several additional mini-deities of sorts.

In Momotaro's case, the Bike was part of DonZenkai-Oh. It made sense why only he utilised the motorcycle; the other Donbrothers don't have them.

Here, they're all Monarchs, so you'd think they'd have similar vehicles to ride into battle.
