Bun Violet's name is Sakito Homura, portrayed by Yuu Miyazawa who not too long ago portrayed Alpha in Gotchard. The wordplay here is Sakito which sounds like circuit as in race circuit, and his last name means flame, however, the kanji is 焔 and not the usual 炎. Looks like Sakito will be the "sweeper" of the team, someone who gets the job done no matter how difficult it may be. His henshin device is the Boonboom Controller.

Sakito's partner Byun Diesel (ビュン?ディーゼル) who is affectionately called Byundy, is voiced by Natsuki Hanae who plays Tanjiro in Demon Slayer. He is a retired Big Bang Grand Prix racer who has been working as a sweeper and eventually met Sakito along the way.

He's an F1 racer as that's a Formula 1 wheel on the face. His changer is a Formula 1 steering wheel iirc. Threw in a pic of an F1 steering wheel to show why the changer is called a controller, too.

Bun Violet having his own robot buddy reminds me of my original prediction for Zenkaiger's Sixth, before Twokaizer was revealed. From the bio, sounds like Sakito is going to be another antihero, albeit more straightforward than Taiya, since Byun Diesel will be the one talking in circles.

They're really bringing out the big name voices for the suit-only characters.

BoonViolet's purple and yellow color scheme makes me think of LarryBoy from VeggieTales and Batgirl from DC Comics.

I wager Bun Violet will technically be neutral at first, stumbling upon news of the BoonBoomgers while visiting Earth, and then thinking something like "Wow, they sure look a lot like me. I wonder what they're up to" before investigating, and eventually agreeing to assist with both the stopping of Hashiliens and getting Boondorio back in the Grand Prix

• Dragon Ranger was evil for his introduction arc.
• Abare Killer was evil for most of the show.
• Gosei Knight initially didn't care about saving humans.
• Starninjer attempted assassination on an elderly man.
• Twokaizer is literally a pirate.

Fun campy shows can still have characters with questionable morality. We need look no further than the core 5 Boonboomgers, as there was a big deal about how Taiya created the equipment for a race, rather than to protect the world.

All the shows you just mention were mainly serious shows also twokaizer was never evil or neutral dude was a good guy he wanted to save his brothers

and for the rest those seasons were played up as serious and just cause Starninjer wanted to kill someone doesn't make him evil

Quick comment because I’m sure someone else may have said it already but am not reading the whole thread. Violets wheel weapon isn’t just a game based controller it’s a cross between that and a F1 wheel. I mean obviously given the mech but just wanted to say that.

Well the seriousness can vary, but those shows I referred to are generally regarded as lighthearted. Henshinzero suggested an antivillain, antihero or neutral. Dragon Ranger and Abare Killer started as villains, while Gosei Knight, Starninjer and Twokaizer started as antiheroes: Good guys overall, but still troublesome nonetheless.

Bun Violet's bio, "a person with great darkness in his heart living in a desperate method to wipe it away." To me, that doesn't exactly sound descriptive of your average clean justice-loving hero.

Going back to the whole BBG situation with Taiya once more, I don't recall anything that serious happening in the first quarter of CarRanger, they were all working in the same garage so their morale was pretty tight. I'd argue that Boonboomger is the more serious one, albeit paradoxically, with a main writer who won't commit to a consistent tone.

1 part game controller, 1 part F1 wheel, 1 part energy bow. It's a cool design for sure!

judging from the episode preview, he's beating the monsters up, so he's not working for the villains or the heroes more likely he's a twokaizer type of character, he's just going to do things his way, he just wont work with anyone. twokaizer/zox was that way as well.

cant make him a complete villain, otherwize the toy sales dont sell very well for complete villain sixths, that's why sixth rangers were never complete villains after abakiller.

Incredibly big fan of Byun Byun Mach Robo driving himself while in vehicle mode, I’m glad they worked out a fun design for one of the most standard car transformers models.

While Boonboomger is no anniversary show, it would be incredible if they got Ginga Red, Go Red, and Gao Red as guest stars for the debut episode given the fire engine and lion motif they have going. Plus, the three of them seem to be buddies irl since all three of them being red rangers between 1998 to 2001 and they collectively call themselves the G Reds iirc according to Kaneko when he was on Furuhara's youtube channel.
