Agreed. None of this is particularly necessary but it doesn't feel like a chore like the BoG arc.

And Battle of Gods because BoG he offered to grant them 2 wishes, but they only needed him for one before Goku told him they were good.

No matter how you slice it though, the wish count has been screwed up since Boo. It was two wishes when Bulma went to wish everyone killed by Majin Vegeta back, but then it was three wishes after they restored the Earth. Then in BoG it was two wishes along with in RF, but 2 in Super's first half and three now. UGH!!

Wait, what? In both the German dub and the Subtitles of the Japanese version this is never mentioned. Shenron just asks if knowing about if the Super Saiyan God exists is the wish or something else, Goku (or Beerus) wishes to know how to make one, he tells them and vanishes.

He never says if they want another wish, and upon being summoned he asks to grant a wish in singular form, not multiple wishes.

So either that's something the English dub made up or it was completely lost in translation.

Either way, the wish count sis something so crewed up at this point I just accept it's completely random.

Shenron's wish count has become confusing since I remember that Dende made Shenron able to grant three wishes (two if one is resurrecting a massive amount of people). After the Buu saga, Mr. Satan hide Fat Buu for six months to use the Dragon Balls erase the memories of Majin Buu on Earth. Pilaf made his wish to become younger again which was likely sometime after Buu and before BOG. If you view Wrath of Dragon canon since it's one of the few old DBZ movies that fit then there is the wish of Hoi making the wish to free Tapion of the box. They also had to wait to use the Dragon Balls to wish back everyone who died from Hirudegarn.

I guess Toriyama and the writers at Toei can't make up their minds on the wish account on Shenron.

On toriyama part he stated several times he forgetful he even stated he forgot to give trunks and Goten tales when they were born.
